It’s easy to see why Quay Street Kitchen is so highly rated after hundreds of reviews. The kitchen staff really know how to cook! The calamari was crisp and tender and seasoned in such a way that the natural flavours of the squid are truly enhanced. The mussels were very creamy and packed with umami. The waiting staff were also super friendly and were very quick, from scanning our vaccination certificates to taking our orders. I’m really happy with Quay Street Kitchen and I strongly recommend them.

Always my go to in Galway, love the food here, small restaurant and no booking but they take your number and you can go for a drink in a nearby bar and they will take you when a table becomes available. Love this place!

This is such a lovely place. Myself and my partner happened upon this place by chance (a place we tried was completely booked) and we both couldn't believe our luck. Fair price, great food (I recommend the Spicy Bean Burger, it's delicious and so filling). Small so don't be surprise if there's no available seating (we were lucky that we just went without a reservation). Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere was cozy and snug. Ideal for friends and couples.

Small interesting place to eat traditional dishes coupled with some genuine good service. Lying in a cluster of many other good restaurants, it’s difficult to differentiate this from any of the others around but all the same, worth a trip. Just to highlight how this works - for dessert, I ordered a sticky toffee pudding and when I mentioned that it looks good but can’t see the toffee they quickly bought some toffee sauce to make it good!! The Quay Street Kitchen had some of the best vegan and gluten free food I've probably ever had. (This is saying a lot living in one of the top foodie places in the States) Their food was homemade and fresh. The service was good. The space is small but very intimate and a lovely dinning experience. I'd highly recommend anyone in the Galway area to come visit this amazing restaurant. We came here twice in the one night stay because it was that good!

10/10! If you're looking for filling and delicious food, this is the place to go. There is outdoor seating and a canopy which shades you from the sun. Really fast service and amazing waiters. Comfortable seating and the waiters check with you often to see if everything is OK. I'd recommend this to anyone.

Fantastic restaurant, staff are down to earth and friendly. The menu is great, perfect size. I got the wings for starter which were tasty and full of meat and I had the lamb shank for main and as the menu said, it fell of the bone. I washed it all down with a nice bottle of Galway Hooker. The food is amazing and I will definitely be back on my next visit to Galway.

I had the mussels while my partner had the mezze plate for lunch. The mussels were generously sized with a creamy sauce that was perfect for a rainy afternoon. His mezze plate looked delicious but was definitely lighter on the belly. Vegan options were plentiful. Service was great but would be excellent if they reminded us of the daily specials.

Stopped in for an early dinner and just wanted something light. Opted for the tomato and basil soup and it was excellent. A very good portion of homemade soup with some bread on the side. One of my friends is gluten free and she was thrilled with all the options she had to choose from. A nice meal for a reasonable price and all homemade. Lovely spot! I come here every time I get visitors to Galway. It's a small but nice place, the staff are always lovely and accommodating. There is veggie, vegan and gluten free options. Would highly recommend!

Our B&B host recommended this restaurant to us, and it did not disappoint. Definitely the best meal of our trip to Ireland and one of the most reasonably priced. Cozy restaurant with awesome food and a nice selection of drinks. Had one of their seafood specials which happened to be an amazingly prepared Hake fillet with vegetables. They also carried a stout from Galway Brewing that ended up being the favorite beer that I tried while in Ireland. The staff is extremely attentive to guests which translates to great service. Dress code is casual. Overall a wonderful place to go.

The food here was just fantastic. The prices were not bad. The portions were bigger than I expected. My stew was just amazing and so was my wife’s meal, which consisted of a pork shoulder I believe. Our soup was first class as well. One of the best and most filling meals I had in Europe.

I paid inside and decided to sit outside to listen to the buskers playing just in front of the patio Service was great as the place wasn't too busy. If you're going to sit outside on a cold day, make sure you get a spot close to the heaters against the wall.

I’m still giving the service a higher rating than what they deserve because the Asian lady( most likely foh manager) attempted to rectify the situation. Our experience at the quay street kitchen was one of the finest we have experienced so far. The menu was not overwhelming, our waitress Orla provided us with great service, very accurate, friendly and made a calm impression. The food was absolutely delicious. My girlfriend got vegetables and a carrot-chili-coconut soup, I got their daily special cod and chips. Probably the best chips ever. We would definitely recommend going here, as prices were also more than reasonable for the quality of food you're getting.

In a great location in Galway city centre which means it's busy; when very busy, drop in, leave you're name and number and they'll give you an estimated wait time, at which point it's time for pint (e.g. in Neachtain's across the street).
