C. F.My husband and I have, had two visits to the bistro in Gorey, wexford and the level of service and food is exceptional. I spoke with Tina the hostess on the phone to book our table and she was so polite and pleasant and friendly and when we met her in the restaurant she was so welcoming and made us feel so relaxed. James the main chef and Co-owner with his wife Tina, is also such a lovely, down to earth man and it was so nice to see him out at the tables helping to serve and chat to customers.
Now for the food - Let me tell you, the food is the best food we've ever had! You wouldn't get this kind of feed in Dublin! We had the surf n turf for mains and the steak was cooked to perfection. Lovely and tender and made exact to order - medium rare. The monkfish and prawns were also cooked to perfection and the homemade garlic butter drizzled over was so complimenting and delicious in its own right. The pepper sauce and the gorgeous side of sauteed potatoes and veg were beautiful. This is truly a restaurant where you get exactly what you pay for and get a superb feed. The level of professionalism and the standard of food is unmatched. You won't be disappointed! Please visit.

Last night we had the very great pleasure of eating here. We arrived not having booked to find a very busy booked out restaurant but no trouble was spared to accomodate us. They could give us a table in an hour . We were only in Gorey for one night and as we had never been before helpful suggestions were made as to where we might go for a drink while we waited. About thirty minutes later Sharon came to find us to say our table was ready.
We could not have anticipated the treat that was in store. The food was exceptional from the bruscetta and black pudding starters to the turbot and seafood gratin. Faultless. This restaurant is very lucky to have James working here as chef. To top it all off I had the creme brulee which was one of the best ive ever eaten and I know my creme brulees !
The service was faultless, The ambience perfect and the whole team were welcoming, enthusiastic and very knowledgable about the all that was in offer. The people of Gorey are very fortunate to have such a top class restaurant in their town.

L. H.Dined here recently and had a wonderful night. We received a warm welcome on a very wet Friday. Great selection of foods and wine. Delicious scallops to start and fabulous duck for mains. My other half had the "smokie" which was smoked haddock and tasted wonderful and the surf and turf which was plentiful and cooked to perfection. We shared a crunchie cheese cake - yummy. The chef walked around and checked on the tables - very nice touch. Needed to phone to make reservation but no problem there. Will definitely be back!
