Had a lovely meal here a couple of weeks ago. Very friendly staff, great outdoor dining with good cover and a heater. And delicious food. Calamari was the highlight!

I can only repeat others. The food is very tasty. If you are looking for something different, you'll get there. If you like traditional dishes, you won't be disappointed either. The quality is there and the price is accurate. Highly recommended!!!

We had a lovely meal here after adventuring on the Barrow for a few hours. Very atmospheric building and outdoor dining areas, surrounded by ancient trees. Food was top class for adults and children. Very friendly and great value.

Clashganny house restaurant is a wonderful slice of tasty food in a lovely part of south Carlow. Karen, Rob and their team are delightful . Always welcoming with a smiling face. If you are kayaking nearby on the River Barrow ,book Clashganny post work out. You won't be disappointed.

Food good. Nice menu, well presented. Not very well set up for outdoor dining. Picnic benches not ideal for long meal. No outdoor heaters so if going to eat there this summer, wear layers of clothes, coat and scarf for breeze. In their defence not many places in Ireland going to be set up that well for our 'summer evening weather '

Fabulous food, wine and cocktails. Ribeye steak was perfectly cooked and pina colada baked alaska for dessert was divine. Beautiful wooden outdoor covered area with cosy wood burning stoves in a fantastic scenic setting. This is how you do outdoor dining in Ireland! Staff were wonderful too. Would highly recommend. We will be back.

When I needed to rearrange our wedding due to covid restrictions I asked Karen and Rob if they could host us and was over the moon when they said yes. All the guests were delighted with their food and cocktails on the day. The decor was beautiful. The atmosphere was lovely and warm. Relaxed ambient , courteous and prompt staff , good choice of drinks. We had a selection of starters which treated us to a little feast of tastes and textures , the venison reduction was delightful pity for my monkfish a bit dry and not enough of the lovely sauce. All I all 8 out of ten.

We had the most enjoyable evening my Husband thought his food was delicious but for me it was outstanding because I have a dairy allergy.This always causes a lot of discussion with the end result being very bland basic food and lots of mistakes thrown in for good measure, butter on the veg mashed potatoes with grated cheese the list is endless.Clashgranny was wonderful from dairyfree bread dairyfree butter and i had a full choice of starters and main courses .Usually the most miserable part of the evening for me is when the dessert menu is handed out and I am presented with melon but not in Clashganny I had apple crumble with berries and dairyfree vanilla ice cream.We had the most relaxing evening with wonderful food looking forward to our next visit.
