I have been here a couple of times now and as always it was amazing. A beautiful restaurant with super friendly and knowledgeable staff. The service was top notch and the food was fab. The fried calamari was probably the best I have ever tasted !! If you are in Kilkenny (actually even if you aren't it's worth the drive) definitely try it ... I would advise booking as it was pretty busy. Authentic Italian dining at its best

Amazing service and amazing food as well. I came early for lunch since dining usually you need reservation, lunch is pretty leeway so you dont really need to reserve first. Don't forget to order their sopresa, it is so good and amazing!

Really enjoyable, beautiful restaurant, homemade pate & cannelloni was delicious. The steak was divine! Wine was beautiful, as was the salted caramel tart dessert. Early bird menu is great value. They sang happy birthday for my husbands birthday which was such a nice touch! If we had 1 small flaw it would they don't do chips but they kindly offered us potatoes, however he could still taste garlic. Nevermind, the overall experience was definitely 5 stars, would recommend!

Booked this restaurant on strength of reputation and reviews but overall was disappointed. 2 of our party ordered pasta dishes which were excellent. Sides to non pasta dishes were uninspiring overcooked and bland and duck while reasonable could have been a better thought out dish. Service was attentive but felt overly formal and not especially welcoming but that could be personal preference. A popular, busy establishment that offers a service many people are after but would only recommend if you're after a more formal experience.

Fantastic food, delicious wine. Would return. If I were to try and find fault, the one thing I was a little thrown/annoyed by was the speed at which the starter and main came. In particular, how there was a 4minute gap between finishing the starter and the main coming. The side of garlic bread then arrived 10mins later. I mentioned this to me fiancé and yes it was timed. When I return, because I definitely will(very delicious)I will ask for there to be a deliberate 10-15minute gap between courses, I understand it was busy and trying to keep everyone happy but still.. it was the only let-down of our experience there and there minus 1-star. All in all, pleasant staff, delicious food and nice ambience.

We first dined in Rinuccini's nearly 8 year ago (to the day) and it is every bit as magical each time we have returned. There are few restaurants in Ireland which have lived up to be as wonderful as the first visit, but this is definitely one of them. This restaurant has that magical quality of making you feel like you are the only people in the room, a testament to their wonderful staff and the effort put in to sourcing the authentic Italian features that accent the evening with a wonderful atmosphere. We were welcomed and made feel as if we were not just visitors but one of the members of this authentic and warm Italian family. The food was exceptional and delightfully presented. We opted for a montepulciano to accompany our meal and it did not disappoint. We finished with the best Tiramisu I have had the pleasure of tasting and a salted caramel tarte that has topped the list of my wife's favourite desserts ever. I also had my first Grappe, which was recommended by our server and it was a fantastic final treat to an exquisite meal. If you are in Kilkenny and want a first class meal without the price tag (although any price would never deter us from visiting here), Rinuccinis is one of the most welcoming and exceptional restaurants we have had the pleasure of dining in. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

I ordered a portion of calamari and zucchini as a starter and not only were they delicious, but the portion was also very generous. I asked for prawn spaghettini as my main, which was also delicious, but a portion was much smaller than expected. Having said that, my pasta was full of prawns, which was great! My girlfriend ordered risotto, which she also really liked. Our desserts were mouthwatering, I got a chocolate and salted caramel tart with ice cream and my girlfriend - tiramisu. We would only give this place 3 stars simply because our expectation for a restaurant that's meant to be one of the best in Kilkenny and is located in such a prestigious place, would have been much higher in regards to the portions of the mains and most importantly, in waiters. Our main waiter was great, but the other one not at all... We probably would not go back, because we didn't feel it was value for money, but it was certainly worth a try!

We had a fantastic meal here last night. 6 of us sat at 8pm. The service from booking to arrival and right through out the meal was impeccable. You barely had to move your head to get someone's attention and there were just there, all smiles ready to help in any way. We just couldn't fault them in any way. Loved my visit to Rinuccini, it was an experience to be cherished. I accompanied my family and we are all coeliacs but our waiting staff were knowledgeable and even provided me with gluten free beer. The food was amazing and I would recommend the fillet of beef with peppercorn sauce and even a lemon sorbet prosecco after to complete the look. It is a worthwhile visit well worth the cost.

I really enjoyed the crostino con porchetta and I have to say the pork belly my friend had looked very inviting. The risotto was not exceptional, missing taste, too much tomato and cream. A vast variety of drinks in particular grappa but unfortunately I was the driver that evening. Service very good, we got all the attentions and cares. Price was excellent for somebody coming from Dublin.

Table of four ordered Homemade Organic fettuccine with wild mushrooms and black truffle oil (ordered by two of us), Handmade ravioli stuffed with Ricatto and Spinach, and Homemade Free Range egg pasta Cannelloni dello Chef stuffed with wine braised Irish beef fillet was enjoyed by the other two of our party. NOTICE the Homemade, Handmade Pasta! Each of us enjoyed our meals, extensive wine selection, full bar, generous menu with something for all, and the service is prompt and tidy. Atmosphere is cozy and can be a bit loud with a large dining group in the big room, but that did not detract from our experience, only enhanced it. Reservations ARE highly suggested. Great Italian dining in Kilkenny!

Ristorante Rinuccini is my favourite restaurant in Kilkenny. In about ten visits I've consistently been impressed by the warm and friendly service. The food is delicious every time. The last time I was there one of the waiters heard a member of our party was a coeliac and couldn't eat the bread. Shortly after, he brought out a basket of just baked gluten-free bread. This considerate little touch is typical of the approach to service in Rinuccini's.
