S. M.From walking in the door, Bricin was an exceptional experience. The hosts were super efficient, warm and personable. The starters were sensational. Plenty to eat and all of it delicious.
Our mains were pretty much perfect, and would give 6 stars if we could. I don't eat dessert, but I did tonight. If you have the chance to eat at Bricin , take it.
R. B.A wonderfully charming restaurant in downtown Killarney. We were seated on a busy night in less then 5 minutes. The customer service was phenomenal. We ordered the Chicken Filo and Striploin Steak. Each cooked to perfection and loaded with flavor. They have a wide variety of spirits and wines. We met some friendly locals as well. I highly recommend this establishment if you're visiting Killarney.

J. D.Had a really excellent meal in the Bricin celebrating our anniversary and it was absolutely first class. The food was just fab but what makes it such a great restaurant is the staff. They were outstanding and really show what excellent customer service is all about..the customer. Catherine was our main server and what a genuine and professional lady she was. She spoke and laughed with everyone she served and showed why people talk about Irish hospitality because she is the epitome of it.

M. J.Wonderful place for dinner! We were recommended to go to this place for dinner by our hotel. We went for the early bird special around 6pm and weren’t disappointed by everything. We were warmly welcomed upon entering, and seated with delicious Irish soda bread and tomato bread. We had the boxty (must have for travelers!) and chicken for dinner, and bruschetta & Camembert for appetizers. So yummy, such friendly staff, just incredible!

I used to go as a child with my family and keep going back every time I'm in Ireland. Whenever I hear anyone is going to the Kerry area I tell them they have to visit BricÍn.
it also has an Irish craft shop downstairs which is fantastic.... I also highly recommend their Christmas puddings which each year I get shipped out to the uk which they post for me.
The owners are two bothers who are wonderful.

A. C.This was definitely the nicest restaurant I, and my fiancé, ate in while in Killarney. We were immediately met with a warm welcome from the owner, who was such a lovely man, are table was in the middle of their main dining room which felt like you were inside a grand manor house dining room but had the intimacy of your Nana's own dining room. The food was supreme, it tasted again like your Nana's cooking, and then some. The curried lamb boxty was the nicest thing I've eaten in some time. I cannot recommend this restaurant more.

The gift shop however IS open and whether you are local or just visiting Killarney if it is gifts you are looking for then this is one of the prettiest gift shops in town! From woollens to art, jewellery, pottery, books, and music, there is not much you cannot find here! Most of everything is made here in Ireland too so you know in most cases it is something traditionally Irish!

The gentleman who greeted us three ladies was very polite and courteous, offered to take our coats, and asked if we had a reservation. We did not have a reservation, but the gentleman stated that it wasn't a problem, and him and the staff actually brought out an extra table so that we could eat there that night. I was pleasantly surprised! Then, the food....it was absolutely delicious! The best boxty I'd had during my trip! The entire experience from door to dessert was wonderful. We were treated with kindness and made to feel at home. I highly recommend this place!

M. R.Great little restaurant along the main street in Killarney. You have to enter through a tacky, overpriced gift shop downstairs. Don't waste your time here. Head on up and check out the great decor. We were quickly greeted and shown to our seats. They have a great menu here. I recommend trying the boxty with the lamb. This was very good. Even though it was curry, there wasn't too much spice to it. The seafood chowder here is also quite good. Very flavorful. They also have Murphy's on tap which is a plus! I would like to come back here one day!

We opted to have me run to try and get take out-the really nice gentleman (I'm assuming manager or front of the house guy) was just awesome! m. g.I have had the pleasure of coming here twice, the boxty was such a delicious curiosity that upon returning with my parents we decided to go. There was no room the first night so they reserved with the owner, who was also the man who delightfully sat us the first time three years ago. The staff, the owner, and the chef and the restaurant itself is A MUST visit if you're lucky enough to visit such a beautiful town. My mom had the fish which was amazing and we had the boxty again, just delicious, phenomenal service. I will take my fiance next!

The menu has something for everyone and the prix fixe menus are definitely a good deal (and quite a lot of food!) The service was very prompt and attentive, and the food was wonderful- very fresh and the menu had some creative twists on traditional cuts of meat/dishes. I very much enjoyed the apricot pork and the fresh mango sorbet. Definitely make this a stop on your visit to Killarney. The service was very good but Noreen was just phenomenal. She was friendly, engaging and personable, came and went at the perfect times and made us feel like every decision we made was the best one (ironically this is not always the case in the service industry). We felt like we had been good friends with her for years and were totally in love with her by the time we left. She was prompt without being bothersome, had a natural passion for the food, had great recommendations, and just made us feel at home. The environment was also fantastic and amenable to both being a nicer night out if that is what you are wanting while not being too stuffy that you wouldn't feel comfortable in casual clothing after a long tiring day. We loved Bricin and came back again for our last supper there. Couldn't recommend more highly.

The long version: They were able to accommodate a very tired and hungry group without reservation on a Saturday afternoon after a long hike on Hag's Tooth on Carrauntoohil. We told them we were in a rush to catch a train and they were extremely sympathetic and efficient in recommending dinner specials. Food arrived extremely fast to the table, and so did the bill when requested, contrary to the expectations of my friends (who could not believe we could squeeze a great dining experience between our hike and our train).

The atmosphere was cosy and homely, I was welcomed immediately when I got in through the door, the service was very personal, but professional, I got lots of tips what to do with the rest of my holiday here and was continuously asked if I needed anything else and was happy with the food. K.Bricì Restaurant was recommended by my wife's aunt who lives in Killarney and although we hadn't booked it we tried our luck and although it was quite busy a very quietly spoken gentleman showed us to a table by the window, he explained the menu to us and answered our questions about the direction our travels were taking. We ordered from one of the set menus 3 courses for €30, my wife had deep fried camembert and I had bruschetta for starters. We both chose the house special the boxty (Irish potato cake) my wife had one with lamb and I had mine with beef strogonoff, the flavours were delicious and desserts were Apple and Pear pie and sticky toffee pudding 😋🤤 staff and service second to none a truly enjoyable experience. D. D.Make reservations! We showed up without and they accommodated our group of 4 but it was full. The reason it was full became evident when the food started to arrive. A seafood chowder that rivals any you've had, a potato and leek soup that simply melted on your tongue and a bruschetta flavored and cooked to perfection. That was just the starter. Next came a chicken boxty that had a pot pie kind of a flavor if that pot pie grew up in a great home. The lamb boxty as well hit the tongue in oh so many great places that you didn't want it to stop. I had the roasted chicken and from bite one I knew I was in love. The flavors of the seasoning combined with the sauce/gravy it was served with and the juiciness of the chicken itself made me let out an audible moan. I then quickly transitioned to eating all my colcannon so that I could finish my meal entirely on the chicken. No other flavors need apply. Delayed gratification, it's a thing. I slowly finished that chicken, and I felt true remorse when the last bite was gone and the wine flushed my mouth clean. I was sad, until dessert showed up. A wonderful fruit crumble thing that I barely remember seeing, let alone eating. The first bite melted in my mouth and I'm pretty sure I entered a fugue state for the duration of my eating. I snapped out of it and my plate was clean, my eyes were heavy, my heart was racing, and I had a real joy on my face. Yep. It was love.
