K. C.Myself and my husband had a meal here last night while on a staycation in Kerry. We could not recommend the place more! Staff and the atmosphere were lovely! The food & cocktails were delicious! We were both absolutely stuffed leaving. The only thing we were disappointed by was leaving this meal for our last day of our trip so we could not visit it again! We will definitely be going again, the next time we are in Killarney!!
C. L.Can’t say I was impressed. From a vegan point of view I‘d actually give it two stars, but my omnivore brother and his wife like the food so I‘ll try to be fair.
The waiter was rather inexperienced I think, we ordered jasmine tea and got black tea (with the bag already/still in the pot, not knowing how long it has already been in there). They have an extra menu for vegetarian/vegan dishes but don’t actually specifiy which is vegan. No prices on there either. The waiter asked if vegan means „no animal products at all“. As a side dish I was offered steamed rice, fried rice and noodles and I chose the noodles ending up with eggfried noodles which I had so send back. A different waiter treated me like I was supposed to know the noodles had eggs. The food was ok, my peanut satay sauce barely tasted peanuty and wasn’t as creamy as I am used to it. The vegetables were tasty and cooked on point, the tofu rather dull.
On the plus side: we had a dog with us and one of the waiters offered a bowl of water for him, very attentive.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience in Genting Thai and by the end of the meal we were already planning our next visit here!

L. G.I'm a long time customer of this restaurant, before this restaurant located in the Innisfallen Shopping Complex. This restaurant is now located on Beech Road. What makes this restaurant standout is the atmosphere within the restaurant and the hospitality of its employees. The settings inside are attractive, cutleries, furniture, feels like you are in the restaurant in a five stars hotel. Outdoor sittings also available but limited. Among all the Asian restaurants in Killarney, only this restaurant maintains its food consistency. This is why I'm still their customer. The lunch set menu is very cheap and offers great options. It's only € 17 per person (noodles extra € 1). Available on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Why stress out of shopping, cooking and cleaning on the weekends while you can enjoy affordable delicious foods in relaxing atmosphere? The Lunch Menu offers three courses that includes starter, main course, fruit salad with ice-cream and tea or coffee. Coffee was nice. I've never tried the tea.
Here are the foods I've eaten here that meet my five stars standard.
The starters are tom kha, tom yum, gai satay, spring rolls, crispy golden wontons, sesame chicken, nua satay, duck spring rolls and tempura prawns with plum sauce.
The main courses are crispy roast duck with a dressing of crispy noodles and tamarind sauce, beef with cashew nuts and chilli oil, tiger prawns with mixed vegetables in oyster sauce, pad thai, genting special fried rice, chicken massaman curry and beef in red curry . Should be note: curries are nicer to go with meats from the land. e.g chicken and beef.
I strongly encourage you to dine in the restaurant rather than take-away. This is because the take-away container can slightly change the taste of your food. Unless it doesn't bother you, take-away would be the option for you.
See also their set menu of two and four. Once you split your bills, you found it is value for money. For example set menu of four will cost you only € 37.47 per person. They also offers massive alcohol drinks selection. They have a full licence bar.
m. f.Food is really good. Staff was really helpful and checking to see if you need something every couple of minutes. Very good hygiene. Would love to come back and to find more restaurants like this one.
E. B.Very good. Decent food that's well prepared by chefs who clearly know what they're doing and actually give a damn about the end product. It may be the more expensive Asian restaurant and take out in Killarney but it's very much worth the few extra Euros for the superior difference in the quality of the meats, sauces, vegetables and preparation. They don't deliver but to order over the phone and then collect is not a problem when you're guaranteed a good meal. Very happy with both the polite and helpful staff and the tasty dinner we enjoyed. Well recommended.

I highly recommend the platter option as your starter as it lets you try a number of different options (all of which were really good). We had mixed reviews regarding the Pad Thai; some people really enjoyed it and others felt it was only okay. There was consensus that the number 45 (duck dish) is amazing.

Not the worst, not the best. With room for improvement.
Started off well, quick service and nice staff. The Dragon was lovely as a starter, never had it before and thought it was great even though a little greasy.
Then while waiting for the main course, it was as though they had forgotten about us, approx a half an hour went by and what was served to us was only ok. The crispy duck with crispy noodles and tamarind sauce was edible. But the crispy noodles were so drenched in sauce that they had become soggy and the amount of tamarind sauce was overpowering! I would suggest serving a small amount of sauce on the side which would allow the noodles to act as a crunchy garnish and prevent the sauce from being too much.
The boiled rice that we received was also sticky and clumped together, for a staple food to be served like this isn't acceptable.
The mojito that we ordered also seemed to be made from an amalgam of water, alcohol and lime, with no mixing taking place and a lack of sugar made it undrinkable. I would avoid.

C. o. c.I have eaten here a few times and it's generally good. Its on the expensive side, for what it is and they don't price the menu properly. Last two times I was here, they tried to overcharge, so make sure to examine your receipt. The food is good though. I especially like the steak panang.

F. B.Not a bad place for Thai food. Not the best I've ever had but it is good. However, knocking 2 stars down for the following reasons:
- From the moment they removed the starter plates, which came in around 10 minutes, until they brought to us the mains, we had to wait 30 minutes. Enough to lose the appetite.
- They brought us the wrong check after having to wait another 10-15 minutes to pay.
Probably the service is better when it is not crowded. They should consider hiring additional staff for the weekends maybe.

The dessert menu is very disappointing. Don't expect any Asian dessert here. All you get are ice creams and cheesecakes. Service and food are not worth the price, definitely.

I had the tasting platter to start and it was gorgeous, the food and sauces with this dish really complimented each other especially the bbq sauce that came with the rib. For my main I had the prawn pad thai which was ok and my dessert was the Ferrero rocher cheesecake which I absolutely loved. Will be back again

S.Lovely food, great price if you do the Earlybird, but not available on Saturday's, so it could be a bit pricey as everything is charged separately, ie rice! Good portions though, so good enough value even at full price!

I love their green curry, their red curry, their massamum curry .. hey, have you tried the prawns with wasabi sauce? Totally divine! The only Thai place in town I would recommend. See you soon!

S. W.It was mothers day. Son took me. He had booked a table which was just as well as it was really busy. Lovely except the phone was constantly ringing very loudly, and not being answered. I asked a member if they could take it off the hook or something but she said no. It was very annoying. Food was great though.

Some things I’d change though are the constant loud telephone ringing-it takes from the whole ambience and perhaps having an infant friendly time so they are not there during the busy times. I had a child less than 1year old on the table beside me who screamed for the entire hour and a half which I appreciate is not the restaurant’s fault but nevertheless there would be much gained from a child policy during the busy hours.

K. M.Wonderful Thai in an unexpected locale! Discovered this place while visiting Killarney on our honeymoon. The restaurant can be a little tricky to find - you have to duck off the main street and walk through a little shopping arcade to reach it - but it's well worth the trip. Portions are large and reasonably priced. Highly recommend the duck curry and tom yum soup.

Alles wirkt professionell. Die Tische sind aber sehr nah beieinander. Das Essen war sehr schnell da und geschmacklich gut; allerdings etwas zu süß (Hähnchen süß-sauer und Tofu in Erdnusssoße). Das Tofu und Hähnchen hatten wir auch schon besser. Die Preise sind recht hoch, da die Beilage extra kostet.
Alles in allem eigentlich doch nichts Besonderes und dafür ist dann der Preis meiner Meinung nach zu hoch angesetzt.
