Fantastic meal, has to be one of the best seafood places around and has a fantastic view of the waterfront. If you’re there in a warmer month get a place on the covered patio to really take in the scenery over the River Doonbeg. Incredibly friendly staff and service and if you’re staying at the nearby Trump property the hotel will drop you down and bring you back allowing everyone to have a pint. The service was tremendous and they fit us in on an a very busy night.

Great to be back in the new & improved Morrissey's of Doonbeg. After being here each year with my parents as a kid, it was great to finally bring my own kids. The place looks amazing and the menu is a real treat. A trip to the Wild Atlantic Way is not complete without a stop here!! Would highly recommend.

Delightful meal with stunning views We were greeted at the door by Kelly who looked after us and gave us an outdoor seat at first and we settled in to our bread and wine. It was a little chilly that evening so Kelly offered us a table inside when one became free. We had ordered our food and I had ordered soup but a fresh portion of bread came out which was a pleasant surprise. My girlfriend had the crab claws and was initially surprised by how small the bowl was but this was in visual only as there were layers of claws and she raved about the taste and the portion size was perfect. She then had the Scampi and I had the fillet steak and the fillet steak (medium) was cutting perfectly as was cooked just right. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we will definitely be back and would like to bring friends to join in the experience. Looking forward to returning to Doonbeg and Morrisseys

We had a fantastic family meal in Morrissey's in Doonbeg whilst on our holiday, touring Ireland. The welcome at the restaurant, the family-friendly feel, the top class food, lovely cocktail (Aperol spritz for my wife) and a super Guinness for myself, well rounded menu with amazing Hake for main course and Chowder for starter, engaged waiting staff who made us feel at home and relaxed with our kids, desserts to "Share" with the kids and an all-around top class experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody, by far the best in the area and one that we will definitely return to when we are next in Clare.

What an amazing evening we had recently in Morrissey of Doonbeg! From the time we walked in the door of this exceptional restaurant it was 5 star all the way! Kelly and her team looked after all our requests, in a very professional, friendly way without being intrusive. Their stock & knowledge of wines was excellent. Kudo to Krystian, our chef for cooking exceptional dishes for all with fantastic quality of produce -Crab claws delicious, Steak was one of the best I've had, and finished off with a yum Expresso Martini! One of the best restaurants I've been to in Ireland and one I look forward to returning soon to enjoying more of their excellent menu and exceptional service! Thank you Kelly & Krystian!

Truly a lovely place to stay. The staff could not be more helpful and they have a super product on offer. Wonderful big comfortable rooms with a tremendous breakfast. We visited here each night we stayed in Trump Doonbeg. The hotel offers a shuttle bus to and from the restaurant, so it makes it extremely easy. The food, service and atmosphere in the restaurant is top notch. You cannot book a table (as far as I can remember), so just turn up and put your name on the list. You can have a drink at the bar while you wait. Make sure you get some sort of seafood!

Absolutely recommend this place. Gorgeous food. Gorgeous brown bread to snack on while u wait. The staff are amazing. Especially Eimear who had great chats with us and gave us some nice tips on what to do. Did I mention the food was gorgeous? And it's very reasonable priced. U have to try the seafood chowder. I will be visiting again. The parking place was big enough for our two motor homes. Please go and try for yourself!

My only regret was that I didn't take photos of the food - the prawns were massive and the portion size would usually warrant a bill of 50 euro plus but a plate of 9 or 10 massive prawns was only 23 euros including potatoes and vegetables. Service was very prompt and the view off the terrace is exquisite. Throughout enjoyed my visit

Morrissey's bar has been around for a long time and has always been a good stop for food. Over the last number of years, it has been made into a very pretty restaurant with great food the main event. It is not possible to make a reservation unless possibly for large groups, I think. Hugh the owner is a very efficient and cordial organiser though and the wait is always worth it. There is an outside area overlooking the river and the bar to amuse ones self at! Specials are available every evening and a very nice a la carte. Crab claws are excellent, as is the scampi and the traditional fish and chips. The staff are young and friendly. There is always a great atmosphere, with a mix of locals, holiday makers and golfers from around the vicinity. The burger looks great - I have never tried it. One should plan a visit to Doonbeg just to eat here.
