A real delight to eat at this restaurant.The service was absolutely brilliant and the food was A1.Scallops pork belly Hake duck and oysters all available on the menus.It was so good we ate there 2 nights in a row.Early bird menus available which are great value.Covid certs checked on arrival by front of house.Many thanks to all the staff.Donnacha Ryan

Excellent food. The hake and pork belly mains were delicious. The restaurant was fully booked but we were very comfortable in the outdoor terrace with log fire and heaters. The early bird was well worth it.

I loved this place. Such a nice place for a romantic dinner. Felt fancy yet cozy. They served complimentary bread and butter. Fresh and delicious. Ribeye steak was divine! Quality of meat, quantity of sides, steak was cooked perfectly (medium rare). No complaints at all. Loved the food, the ambiance, the servers (very polite). Highly recommend this place.

We went here for a birthday dinner and had a great time! The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious! The sweet potato and ginger soup was divine! The pork belly was really soft and juicy with just enough bite on the grilled parts! Interesting interior as well!

Before we came down to Kinsale I did my homework re restaurants to book for dinner during our stay. Without any doubt Man Friday was a fantastic place to eat. The restaurant had a really lovely bunch of staff. We enjoyed every morsel of our meal. The owner Philip is a jack of all trades, every painting on every wall is his. As well as that he comes in every day and bakes the bread, makes the sauces and the ice-cream etc for the restaurant. We found this out from a member of staff who told us with pride. Philip you have a fab restaurant, great food and paintings of which I would love to have brought 6 of them home with me. We were asked to produce our covid, all staff wore masks. And plenty of space between us and the next table. We will be back, promise!!!

Tasty local fish prepared with hearty sauces. If your're in the mood for a good fish dish, well made with great flavors, man Friday is the place to go. The turbo is very tasty. Chiwders are also not to be missed. Highly recommended, we will definitely coming back

An Absolutely incredible place to eat while in or near Kinsale! Order the Hot Kinsale fish platter as it has a generous portion of all of their local seafoods. It's a beautiful drive from Cork and if it's nice out sitting on the cover patio with a spectacular view is perfect!

Had our first visit to Man Fridays yesterday and it was fantastic from start to finish. We were greeted politely on arrival and shown to our table with fantastic views of Kinsale harbour. We had a three course meal and all three courses were amazing. The staff could not have been any more helpful and friendlier. It was our first visit and most definitely not our last as we will be returning. Thank you all for a very enjoyable evening.

Oh what a hidden Jem. It's tucked away in the tree lined harbour in kinsale. It's about a 10 minute walk, uphill from the tourist office or get a taxi. It's so pleasing. It had to be the best ribeye steak I ever tasted. It's a bit pricey, it's a special treat.🤗🤗😘👍🤔

Nice place. The food is very good and well prepared, great selection of wine as well. Just didn't like the fact that the waitress laughed when she asked who ordered a blue steak (that she called rare). The tables are also pretty old and could at least be covered with white cloth to be up to their own standard.

One of my favourite meals ever. Wonderful service, welcomed warmly from the off and put somewhere really helpful with space for our baby to crawl but also with the most amazing view. The menu was short (as it should be) and very hard to choose from and when the food arrived there was no disappointment. Everything was perfectly cooked and memorably delicious. My one specific recommendation would be to have the chocolate torte if they have it. Somehow both light and rich. I just ate too much. But the walk home solved that. Perfect in every way. Great value for Kinsale too. Wonderful. Thank you!

Service was not great for a very large group that i brought there, nobody checked on our table during courses, had to ask constantly for service. Food did not come out at the same time, at dessert some of us were finished before all were served. The food was good, perhaps a few steaks over cooked but perhaps because of being a large order. Maybe a better experience with a small dinner party.

Awesome place and food was delicious!! Plenty choice of seafood! I was disappointed of Bulman Pub in down hill near Charles fort not serving food after 5pm. We went in on a very busy Thursday. We had booked a table(glad we did), got a lovely table by the window with views of the harbour. Food came out quick & was perfectly cooked & delicious. Food was very good, setting and staff were excellent......was back here 2 weeks later and found it very disappointing, had a ribeye steak that was more burned than cooked medium well...partner was having scampi, which we later discovered was more likely monkfish in the form of... Spoke to other friends who have dined here and wondered about their experiences and I certainly got the impression that they were disappointed with their meal. I can understand the difference in standard from one night to the next - change of chef and so on - but customers pay the same money, be it good chef or bad chef. No excuses for poor dining quality

This was my first visit since the corona virus lockdown. We went for the early bird sitting at 5.30pm. As usual the food was excellent. The waiting staff were very helpful and patient as we had a number of children with us. The restaurant was full and all the virus protocols were carefully observed. Strongly recommended.

Wow... This restaurant is fantastic. Was there over the weekend for my husband birthday and the girl who took the booking must have written down it was his birthday as he got candles and singing and everything. Best fish I ever tasted, staff were amazing, wine suggestion was spot on. I even forgot my phone and was so relieved to find they were minding it for me until I came back. Couldn't recommend this place any more.. Amazing!! We'll definitely be back again.

(Translated) It is an incredible place, in truth that each dish is delicious, the menu is varied, it is not so cheap (€ 31 three times or € 27 two times), but it is really worth it, the view is incredible, you can see Kinsale and the restaurant have a cozy touch, plus the service is very good.
