Went with family for Sunday lunch. We were all very happy with our meals and price was reasonable. Service was very good and staff very friendly and helpful. Decent variety of food including seafood. Very nice setting right on seashore. Would definitely recommend.

A wonderful view with very friendly staff. The food is mostly fresh sea food with a few concessions for this odd people that don't eat sea food when in a place beside the sea. At the end of the evening the owner came over to check how everything was. 5 stars, sets the standard.

Amazing food and entirely brilliant and unfaultable service. The staff were extremely accommodating of one of our child diners who has autism and adhd, gave us the option of choosing a quieter section of the restaurant to dine in. They were really polite and friendly each time we spoke to them and the food was top notch! Will definitely be visiting here again.

Such a lovely chilled spot for lunch on a coastal day out, just a few mins along the coast from Murvagh Beach. Fantastic fresh seafood and wholesome Sunday lunches with great staff and service. Highly recommend

If you love fish stop here. It is off the track on the water side. All of us had fish and chips and so very glad we did. My 4 year old son said that they make the best food. The fish was fresh and the best I have had in a very long time. Service was excellent and food was served quickly. The desert was also good but the fish was the star of the show!

Growing up in the area I never ate at the Salmon Inn unless it was part of our football team after a match for soup and sandwiches or maybe a burger but nothing special. As an adult gone from the area for over 20 years I decided to bring my parents there for dinner. Working in the hospitality industry myself and having gone to college for it I can be very critical if things aren't acceptable. Now I wasn't expecting anything 5 🌟 from this place regardless of what reviews say but boy was I surprised. The fish cakes were awesome to start with. They were breaded on the outside but full of seafood inside not breading and other stuffing and a good size. The Lamb chops were a decent size also and more than I've seen my old father eat in years but he polished his plate. The stuffed sole I had myself was better than any I've had anywhere across the globe. Our waitress Denise was awesome also. Yes the Salmon Inn deserves a 5Star rating. Only downside is the kitchen is only open on the weekends in winter and still closed on Mondays and Tuesdays in summer. Only thing could have made my experience a little better would have been better weather. Spectacular view on a nice day.

Had the most Beautiful Meal with family yesterday at Salmon in. The food was soo tasty and well presented and the big windows enabled us to enjoy a beautiful view. Quite stunning sunsets to be seen from here and staff were cheerful and friendly. Definately be back... highly recommended.

If you manage 1 meal out in donegal make sure its in this amazing pierside restaurant .... the setting is what holidays are made of and the meal will match the setting ... go for the fish ...its practically jumping out of the sea on to the plate

Food was class. Thanks Margaret for taking my query on the phone. It was how you described. Seafood platter was brilliant. Cranmer, prawn, mussels, oyster, monkish, sauce, salad, shrimp. Very nice. Prawncake starter absolutely amazing. Will be returning for sure.

A relaxing, beautiful and friendly place where you can find fresh seafood. I highly recommend the seafood platter and the spicy prawns. Also you can go with any of the specials or even the lamb. Just gorgeous. Margaret, the owner, is a beautiful person and outstanding hostess. John, the chef, is brilliant.

The food was really very good. We had the Christmas menu - with a shrimp salad as a starter, salmon and an orange chocolate cheesecake. The restaurant is located a little away from the main street, right by the sea. A very clear recommendation.
