As a local family we have eaten in Oscar's so so many times and EVERY meal has been exceptional! With COVID, my Mother and Father have continued to get take aways from Oscars and we can safely say the quality, the quantity and the exemplary service has remained the same. We are so looking forward to returning to dining in the restaurant with you all when the pandemic beings to settle (like the picture below!). From one small business owner to another, thank you for an amazing job over these difficult times and I wish you continued success in the future. I visited this establishment today; we were just looking for a place to have a coffee. Nice to see that they asked to see our Covid passes; first place that has. The staff were friendly and polite; one lady made a joke about us eating our dinner before we got our pudding, which made us laugh. My friend had the breaded mushrooms which he liked and the roast beef for his mains. Lots of beef and cook perfectly. I had the chilli potato skins followed by the 10oz steak and chips; steak was cooked perfectly and there were so many chips. We did eat up all our dinner and we got our pudding. My friend had the fudge brownie and I had the cheesecake. When it first came out we thought it looked a bit small but we just about finished it. We paid about £49 for two three course meals, a soft drink and three coffees which we think is a reasonable price. We left and started to walk down the road and we both commented how full we were; I’m stuffed. Good food, great staff, good value for money. 3 hour round trip to visit Buncrana but definitely worth the trip.

Nice little place.. nice food and atmosphere. However, I only gave 3 stars, my reason for this is because when me and my wife went there we sat down and as the only people in there at the time we did not get welcomed by anybody nor did anybody come down with any menu for me or my wife, we had to go get them after 5-10 minutes. We were the only people there at the time so it was strange to enter a place we have never been only to be ignored until we ordered. Also, we were near the end of our food and drinks and then we were asked to vacate our seats to other people who had a party with them of children, granted one was in a wheelchair and some others had possible mental problems, poor kids. However, I found it had an impact on my overall experience there and since we were not finished I felt it was rude and not right to ask us to move after we had just eaten our food and still had drinks and other bits to finish. I hope next time I've a better experience but the place itself is really nice and the staff also when they talk to you etc.. I think some improvements.ate needed though.

Oscars restaurant is on the main street in Buncrana. It is a friendly well staffed placed. The food is lovely. It is very reasonable. You can have a two course or a three course early bird menu that provides a good choice of food at a very fair price. The staff are friendly and will do all the can to make your visit enjoyable, You can call without booking but it would always be advisable to check during busy times, I would highly recommend here!

We went to Oscar's for lunch on a wee day out in Buncrana while visiting from Canada. The food was delicious. The staff was very friendly. I stupidly left my visa card sitting on the table. Didn't realise til we were back in Derry later on in the day. Big shout out to Brooke who not only set it aside but also found me on Facebook and messaged me. She really went above and beyond. Very impressed. Thanks again, Brooke. You are a star!!!

Have eaten here a number of times while in Buncrana. Food has always been good and staff are very nice. Prices are reasonable and even better value if you take advantage of the early-bird offer before 7pm.

While in Buncrana today (Wed 28th Nov 2012) I stopped in at Oscars for a coffee and scone. (last time I was in this place it was an outlet shop for Fruit of the Loom) Staff were friendly and service was quick. I had a delicious cinnamon and apple scone while looking out on main street. Oscar's has large curved glass windows and the interior is sort of art deco. As I was only in town for the afternoon I didn't want a full meal but I did have a look at what was on offer and will return next evening I'm in Buncrana. Oscar's also serve a range of beers and spirits. Recommended.

The place was recommended to us by the owner of the B&B where we stayed. I asked her to send me to a place where she eats herself :) I was happy because the food was delicious and the prices were ridiculously low (for someone who is used to Dublin prices). The only problem is that we waited a long time for a table. Fortunately, the weather was good enough that we sat outside waiting for a table and in the meantime we managed to drink a bottle of wine :)
