Being living in Limerick for 6 years. Have enjoyed many a lovely meal here Freddie is super professional. BUT over last year the portion size getting smaller all the time. Even when asked for a good Portion of pasta on a occasion it still came out very small . So for the price it's not worth it anymore.. Sorry Freddie.

Lovely ambience. Quiet but then it was 2pm on a Tuesday afternoon. Nice decor and furnishing. The food was superb. They offered to top up chips and veg also which was a nice touch.

Simply amazing. Were searching for the place to eat after visiting Foynes Museum and the restaurants in the town didn't appeal at all. Didn't expect anything special from this restaurant but it exceeded expectations strongly. The food was amazing, very good variety, nicely cooked, we were very pleased and enjoyed a lot. The service was great, had a nice talk with the waiter Definitely the place we'll consider visiting in the future!

The Old Stand is a handy spot to stop for lunch or an evening meal there is a varied menu,booking is important . The food was well presented and tasted fantastic the table staff were on point professional Courteous and extremely helpful this bar and restaurant is very clean and welcoming . toilets Immaculate and to a high standard ,there is a wheelchair Accessible entrance .we'll worth a visit.

Gave it only three stars because for some reason you cannot eat in the bar area. The food was decent but you have to leave the bar and go to he dining room to eat. And the service was lacking. I asked for something from a wait person who then went and got my wait person and I had to ask for it again as if the wait staff doesn't talk to each other. The serving system is archaic and makes no sense leaving the customer out on a limb. Better service and this gets 4 stars.

An unexpected excellent venue for such a small village. We found the place due to the numerous signs dotted along the roadside. The restaurant was small, but not cramped. We did not reserve a table but were given a table upon arrival, which was around 7.30pm on a Thursday. I got the goujons for starter. They were battered. A little too oily for me, but that is a personal opinion. I got noodles for main. The portion size was very large and I could not finish, despite how delicious the food was. The staff were very friendly and it was easy to get their attention when required.
