A. F.Absolutely blown away by the quality of the food here. Lots of Vegan options available as well, the steak I had was perfectly cooked and flavoured; the pepper sauce was stellar!!!
The desserts are absolutely incredible. So flavourful but not too rich at the same time!
There’s one table outside if you have pups and all staff is really welcoming of pets 🐶
Cocktails on point as well… 100/10 place wish I lived in the vicinity I’d come every month (if not week).
B. F.Excellent from start to finish. We were a party of 7 adults, 10 kids ranging from ages 3 to 15 and a baby. We were seated in a lovely place away from others where we couldn't annoy other diners with so many kids! Food was excellent, service was excellent. It was all lovely and relaxed. Absolutely no complaints here!

m. m.The wild goose is absolutely beautiful,myself and my mother have eaten there a few times,from the minute you walk in the front door,the staff are brilliant,we get seated at a great table that is easy to access, my mother is not good on her feet so we get a very comfortable table so we do not have far to walk. The food is fantastic,anything we order is served to perfection. The staff are very mannerly and will make you feel so comfortable. We will be back again.

M. M.Very nice place! The name cought my eye and after checking the location and reviews we went. I got a starter, an entree, and a dessert; my starter was the soup of the day, my entree was the bacon and cabbage, lastly dessert was the apple crumble with cream and custard. The soup was a tomato basil soup which was very well seasoned, and mixed with the bread it made for a delicious treat. I got the bacon and cabbage because I head that it was a traditional Irish dish, and it was really good! It wasn't really bacon more like pork chops; they were so tender you could cut it with a spoon. The cabbage tasted very fresh and wasn't cooked till soft, but made with a small crunch. Dessert was fantastic! It was similar to apple pie, but the crust was crunchier and tasted of caramel. Apples were warm and soft, when paired with the whipped cream and custard then you have a real party.

S. A.We honestly did not expect to find such a large and amazing restaurant in such a small town, but this place was wonderful. Our AirBnb host recommended them, as soon as she learned of our gluten-free needs. The place is well-staffed, and we only had to wait about 2 minutes to be seated. The portions are definitely not small - we took a great deal back to the house with us. The best part for us though was definitely dessert - fresh made GF apple pie, with fresh vanilla custard and whipped cream? Holy cow! We went home that night very, very happy...and very, very stuffed!

N. J.One of the most accommodating, friendly and delicious food served I have been to in a long time. If passing by mallow or even visiting cork you must take a trip to them. From the manger, to the waiters all exceptional. Drinks were perfect actually tasty cocktails, all the food was amazing from starters to mains to desserts. Whether it was chicken, fish or seafood (we had a group of 4 so a good variety of food selected). For me personally, the onion rings were beyond amazing. I will be back again and strongly recommend to everyone.

D. H.I had seen the sign for the Wild Goose on many trips to and from Donegal and other counties and always wanted to try it but never did. Then I won a voucher for there so I took it as a sign and decided to have a catchup with friends there. Each and everyone of us absolutely loved it. I tasted all my friend's food and everything was delicious. The Chicken & Mushroom Vol au Vant for starter stands out for me as the sauce was just devine oh and the mashed potato that I had with my salmon dinner was mouth watering! We will definitely go back there again, in fact, I've already recommended it to my family in the hope we can go back there relatively soon. On an additional note, the staff were very friendly!

M.I arrived at the wild goose for the first time I heard only good things about the place so myself and my son went for breakfast I couldn't speak highly enough of the place the food was first class my son got pan cakes and said they were the best he ever had 👍my only criticism was walking in I was standing not knowing could I walk to a empty table or stand waiting to be seated there was no directions what to do so I asked what looked like a manager who stood there where customers paid which was signed posted do I sit or wait to be seated his reply was to wait to be seated and never lifted his head to answer come on I bet ya if you seen 1 of your staff doing what you did you would pull him/her up on it show your staff how things are done properly with respect to customers

R. P.Much improved with the renovations. Their menu choices for different dietary requirements is extensive. I do not need to eat off those parts of the menu so do not know if the kitchen is truly Coeliac/allergen friendly.
It's what I call a safe restaurant. Perfect for bringing parents when they come to visit! The staff are also very willing to adapt anything on the menu when politely requested.
Good seating in most areas, you don't feel like you're on top of each other. It can get quite loud during busier times.

a. d. (. m. d.Couldn't comment on the food as only had a cup of coffee there, which was okay as far as cappuccinos go - service was excellent though. The interior of the place had been recently refurbished and looked impressive, until visit to the lady's loo, which l think they had forgotten to include, as it looked quite rough around the edges - chipped paintwork on doors, the toilet seat was very loose and the door did not seem to lock very well. Also the door opened outwards for some reason, don't know if the idea was to accommodate a wheelchair user (big cubicle) but the toilet was definitely not meant for a disabled person, and as mentioned the seat was very flimsy and loose. This to me does not reflect well on the establishment.

All courses were tasty, well cooked and well presented, my main was chicken gouchons so far from cordon blue but it's a casual, suits all, friendly comfortable restaurant and reasonably priced. It loses a star because there is no goose on the menu and last time I came my steak was over cooked, but then I like some red in mine when generally in Ireland no red is the way. The Wild Goose is well sign posted, easy to find and has parking.

Tall blond waitress was very pleasant and helpful. I wish I could give them 5 stars BUT I can't due their misleading signs on the road. Maybe locals know where it is, but for people who just passing by it's so difficult to find your restaurant! We passed so many times last year and ended up to have lunch in yellow B&B building by the roundabout and other places, where food was just ok...This year my husband had to search google maps on his smartphone to find your location. ..The big sign 8 miles in front doesn't navigate at all, also there another behind so maybe move one or put another sign on the road where you have actually to turn in (there is even a pole with empty space for it) ..
Also if it called wild goose, I would expect at least one goose or duck dish on the menu...
M. O.We had a meal there on Saturday night. There was 4 of us. Two cod was ordered, only one arived. I had no problem waiting for mine to be prepared,as I was having a lovely relaxing evening, as I relayed this to the lovely apologetic waiter, but I was told I wouldn't be charged .The food was just superb.The service was great, as they they were so busy. They wouldn't accept payment, for my meal, because it was late coming out. Not many places would do that. Great choice of menu, including a vegan menu A fab place to eat. Highly recommended .

Theres never busy traffic at this location. It was recently done up in 2016 or 2017 n it looks really well. It has a lovely bar and the food normally is good but ive had a few times where its not been great. But its more good times there. Price is very reasonable n the staff have always been lovely

The interior is interesting, part looks like a regular bar/restaurant, then the is what appears to be the new extension, which reassembled a cheap pop up Indian restaurant, and what looked like the original dining area, which was all reserved upon our arrival.
