B.I ate here with a colleague recently while doing cooking demos at Taste of Monaghan festival. It was recommended to us by the guy who owned the accommodation we rented while staying in Monaghan.
The menu is basic and nothing above what you will find in most Indian restaurant in Ireland. Hence 4 stars and not 5.
The food was excellent, extremely enjoyable. The only fault I had was with the starters which were basic enough. We had a vegetable sharing platter to start which was just ok, though my colleague thoroughly enjoyed hers which was exactly the same as mine. She isn't a chef so obviously wouldn't be as picky as I. I spent a lot of time in India learning all about the different regional cuisines so am very picky when it comes to Indian food.
Our main courses were excellent, throughly enjoyable. We were fortunate to try many as, when they found out who I was, they gave us 3 extra main courses we didn't actually order.
I have since learnt that they always give a free starter or dessert to customers so even if you aren't a well known chef you will get special treatment which I think is lovely.
My friend raved about the food and I really enjoyed it.
They lacked a nice selection of beers which I found disappointing. They only have Cobra, which is nice enough and always good with a curry but a wider choice would have gone down well, especially as a good craft beer can go so well with the strong flavours you find in most Indian dishes.
Our bill came to €65 which was excellent value for 2 starters, 2 mains, a naan and pilau rice which we shared. We were given complimentary rice and a lovely honey naan on top of 3 extra main courses and a dessert which we shared. We were also offered complimentary drinks though refused as we were due to meet a friend.
If in Monaghan and you like Indian food then you really won't go wrong here. The menu is the same as most but the execution and finished dishes are better than most.
The toilets were spotless and smelled fresh.

N. Y.For the first time in Ireland I've seen just generous portions of food. I only ordered 3 things and the sides that came with it were countless. And we even got some freebies. The place itself is not just a regular take away... It's spotlessly clean with impressive ambience... And incredible hospitality. I live in kildare and am only here on a road trip. But I must say the highlight of our day today was the take away food from this place. I thanked them in my heart and mind a 100 times as we were famished and it was the first proper meal of our day. I hope someday they have a franchise in Kildare and I'll be a loyal customer. We are dead tired and I was about to turn in but I couldn't sleep without leaving them a 5 ⭐ right away. They deserve it all.

C. C. (. C. S.I was here last Saturday night for dinner with my son on his 21st birthday. I phoned in for a reservation and they said the earliest available table was 9pm. That's a good sign, it's very busy. Got there just before 9 and they didn't seem to be going by reservation times at all, if they had room, they jammed you in. Poppadoms and sauce came to the table, they were okay. Had a glass of diluting orange which was the best diluting orange I've ever had. My son had a coke, neither of us drink. The appetizers were very nice.I had chicken pakora, son had mixed meat platter. Mains came, Jumbo Prawn Balti which was really nice, and Butter Chicken which was good too. The pilau rice was a little bit hard in places and the peshwari naan was a bit doughy and bland. I told the wait staff it was my son's 21st birthday and we would like to see the dessert menu...and it was at least 25 minutes before we could get their attention. By this time it was nearly 1030 and we just wanted a little dessert because of the birthday celebration. I needed coffee as I was falling asleep and the restaurant was clearing out. FInally got one dessert and one capuccino. The cappuccino was fantastic, really hot and strong. The dessert was TERRIBLE! Obviously frozen foamy cheesecake with no flavour at all. Quite disappointing to be honest. They offered us a free short of alcohol, but we had already said we don't drink, so...
The restaurant was beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean. The tableware was gorgeous and comfortable.
