Mullingar is a town with an overabundance of good restaurants and great fast food outlets. Coppolas (over 50 years in the town) is, and was, considered one of the best, the chips drenched in the vinegar (with the secret recipe) and the small beef burgers dripping with red sauce a town favourite. Ventured back in after a long break, and was curious after all these years, if the tastes stand the test of time. Unfortunately I have to say what I received was not on a par to what I had before. Burger was fine, but the chips just didn't cut it, no where hitting the high standards of yesteryear, was dry and full of fat/oil. Disappointing. I know the guys who run the chipper in Collinstown have recently taken over this joint. They run a very good operation out in the country so I am sure it was only a small blip.............I hope so, as Copploas was always my fav chippy in the town!

Simply the best chipper in town... fresh cod is just ridiculous... huge portion and cooked to perfection with a little side of garlic dip and you are sorted... fast and efficient, very reasonably priced and chips are also spot on...

Very lovely place to grab something to eat.Staff are always nice and very helpful .All those bad comments are nonsense ,as far I know prices are increase every where in food industries .There is nothing free in these day's i am afraid...5* stars from me ...

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT I have been to coppolas takeaway a couple of times lately. It is under new management . Staff are always friendly and helpful The food is very fresh and hot My favourite is the pizzas which are the best in mullingar. Very happy customer. 5 stars.

Look, this place are oldest in Mullingar town.Not many can run bussines for many years.Every time when I passing through Mullingar, I got some food there. There is such a nice staff,one lady who has been working for many years there.Does not matter when she is foreigner.She each time make me feel very welcome there.I can say only good words and my experience have been very positive.
