BUT. When it comes to authentic genuine proper Italian pizza, that wins hands down every time well Da Mario's in Celbridge just can't be beat.
Absolutely delicious and so fresh too all made by hand and thats to order (nothing stacked up). They even have a huge gluten free range too. So If you love authentic Italian pizza & pasta dishes. Then this is the place for you. ❤

S. C.Genuinely one of the nicest restaurants ive eaten in. Both their desserts and mains were fab. Great environment with lots of chatter and a lovely warm restaurant. The staff also were fantastic, nice and accompanying but also not overbearing in the slightest. The manager/owner gave my mother 3 free drinks and my dad a free coffee too so i have nothing but good things to say. Genuinely top class restaurant and we will be returning.

L. B.Starter was very good. Main dish was disappointing, too much pesto, not to my liking. The dessert was fantastic. However the chef said he would not charge me for the main meal. Wine was very nice, atmosphere good. Overall I enjoyed my time.

Unfortunately it is such a noisy and loud atmosphere. I was with in a party of six and we could not hear each other at the either end of a smallish table. They need to add sound absorbing panels to the walls and ceiling as the noise make it very uncomfortable.

As my sister Mary and Sean are regulars 😀 there is no where else we would rather join them to eat for a fab meal, and the Lemon chello is to die for 😉❤. Da Mario is flourishing now more than ever, with fully booked weekends and bustling weekdays and it's no wonder why with the superb dishes that are serves here. From freshly homemade pasta and oven-baked pizzas to creative meat and fish dishes, Da Mario has something special for everyone (both couples and families).
My experience this Wednesday proved to be the busiest weekday seen in months, yet posing no challenge to the exceptional working staff that were constantly punctual and friendly while not even stopping to breath themselves. The Italian staff adds to the authentic Italian feeling of the restaurant and their caring personalities make dining at Da Mario a true pleasure.
The Restaurant is beautiful in it's decor, providing a true sense of Italy right here in the heart of Celbridge. With the wonderful work of the Staff Manager Carlo Borzelli, it's impossible not to have a fantastic experience here on every occasion. From changing various accessories, adding fine details and tailoring staff appearances to match with seasonal events such as Christmas, Valentine's Day and many others, the restaurant is always up to date with all current events and follows a familiar pattern that gives a homely feel to the establishment.
The warm welcomes, the personal connection, the minor details such as roses and handmade sweets and complimentary taster drinks after a meal all make Carlo Borzelli a truly remarkable manager that fuels the thriving business as a comforting and hospitable restaurant. I have to thank Carlo for his extended generousity towards my family and I as he has been a true friend to us throughout the years.
From my own Holy Confirmation to birthdays and celebrating my brother's graduation from college, Carlo Borzelli has always been incredible in providing a great experience for our celebrations and those of others alike.
The food here in Da Mario is always amazing, simply consistent and delightful. The culinary staff produce the highest quality dishes tailored to the finest details and requests no matter how specific. All pasta and pizza dishes may be ordered in a gluten-free option that does not limit the customer to any set items in addition to an extensive wine menu that gives a varied range of authentic Italian wines. Only the finest and freshest produce is used sourced primarily from Italy, bringing the rich and authentic taste of Italy right to your doorstep.
The Da Mario take-away is always also fantastic in providing delicious meals of the same restaurant standard should you prefer to dine in the comfort of your own home. With fast delivery drivers and cheap fees, this acts as a great service to anyone in the local vicinity who may be interested in the best Italian food delivered to your door.
From my time working as both a kitchen porter and a member of the serving staff, hygiene is always maintained to the highest standard. Anti-bacterial gels, cleaned surfaces, routine inspections and maintained cleaning rotas keep all items in the most pristine condition. It gives me confidence coming to Da Mario knowing that my order will always be kept safe and clean from start to finish, allowing my family and friends to also chose Da Mario as our favourite restaurant in Kildare.
Whether you're looking for a casual Italian meal or a venue to share a wonderful celebration or family event, Da Mario has it all. I simply cannot stress enough the remarkable capabilities of the staff here that always provide a great experience and a wonderful meal. Truly, Da Mario has to be visited by anyone and everyone of all ages.

Generally nice place to eat with lots of variety on the menu only fault is desserts are not enough traditional options no tiramasu or Italian dishes.

L. A.I was at Da Mario's recently on a Friday night. Everything seemed to be running relatively smoothly until Da Ma came in. She started barking orders and (badly) cutting the pizzas. At one point she, the girls on the counter and 6/7 chefs were arguing over a portion of missing chicken wings. Myself and a few other customers were looking at each other in dismay. It was like a seen from Faulty Towers.
The 2 younger girls were busily taking order over the counter and the phone. At one point Da Ma took the card machine off the one of the girls and said to another customer "The problem is too many people have been using the tap" as if it was the customers fault...
I ordered the number 30 the Pizza Venezia, it was a good standard of pizza however the salami shaped meat looked more like ham and didn't taste of salami.
I will return again for the entertainment as much as anything. Great Customer Service from the girl on the counter with the red hair.
