C. V.Foods presentation is good but the beef was over cooked and dry. The Yorkshire pudding was too dark and tasted of oil. The fish was good but some of the potatoes were undercooked. Overall not the best lunch.

F.Had dinner last night , lots of specials on offer , good menu starters we’re fish tacos and pork wontons both were delicious, mains were rib eye and sides and a special beef bourguignon which was divine ! 6 year old was very happy with pasta and homemade goujons, waitress were great with daughter also , defo recommend and will for sure be back great value and very good Covid process in place .

A. H.The first thing that hits you is the wonderful smell when you come in. The staff were very pleasant and polite. We came in after a golf outing and were seated and served very swiftly. We got chicken wings served with blue cheese and celery(I dont like Celery) and then steak served with salad garnish pepper sauce and fries. All were served to perfection and they were scrumptious. I would def recommend a visit

There is an excellent low key menu, a huge and ever changing craft beer selection, and the atmosphere is always warm and welcoming. Easily the best gastropub I have ever visited. A.Call in here today Sunday 23/09/2018 @ 5pm on the way back from Newbridge - we had the Sunday roast Beef from the menu and it was delicious has to be the nicest roast beef I have tasted in a long time It was tender and melt in the mouth every bite was excellent, trimmings were great also all made from scratch proper food that’s becoming harder to find.
Well done to all at the Johnstown Inn we will certainly be back for more 👍✅.
