We weren't too sure of this place at first, it was small and we assumed prices would be too high for us, but boy was I wrong! Not only was it affordable, but their food was amazing! We had the fish and chips, and it was incredible!!! The service was quick and the employees were so kind and recommended other places for us to eat and go see (which didn't disappoint, btw). I'm so happy I came here. Oh! And the castle is just across the street, which is a nice bonus! For tourists that want to go to a souvenir shop, I recommend going to the one next door. We wish we had, because they were surprisingly hard to come by in Dublin.

We sat inside at Castle Takeaway. The fish and chips was different than anything we'd had before. The fish was on large and extremely delicious piece of fish. The fresh cod was SO fresh and the smoked cod was perfectly flavorful. Friendly service. Cash only.

Absolutely amazing! I had the lamb chops, which were fantastic, and my girlfriend had the smoked cod fish and chips. I should have gotten the smoked cod! We walked around here thinking about food and smelled this place walking by and were sold. Good job nose! Definitely worth it and they also just won an award as the best Irish takeaway. Definitely deserved it. If you are near the Trim Castle, go do the tour and finish off here! Absolutely wonderful experience. Will be coming back in the future!
