Great place to discover or return to. The menu is varied and well suited for families with young children . The food is well prepared and served in generous portions. The staff is pleasant and efficient. It was extremely reassuring that all certificate and ID verifications were adhered to whilst covid restrictions were in place.

I had a burger in the Monastery Inn a few weeks ago. The burger was nice .it came with chips and they were dried out or re-heated ...I washed it down with a beer that was obviously still there from before the lockdown and tasted terrible..i got two extra sides and wasn't charged extra for them ..freshen up on the beer and freshly cooked fries . And i will return another time ..as I'm sure if I arrive at an earlier time you could do better. The Monastery Inn Is worth another visit !!

We're a couple travelling Ireland and was sick of quick stops and rolls. Thought we'd splurge and wow so happy we did. 8oz Steak and an 8oz Surf in turf...happiest belly moment. Tried to go for dessert but failed to make it through the main which was sublime as was the gravy. Thank you Chef, finally a medium rare worth praising about. I have had many a failed steak the 2 weeks in Ireland. Definitely talk about you're little spot for years to come. The service was excellent although I was lacking conversation due to starvation. Thank you ladies, you were awesome. You're approaches we're perfectly timed, and the little gestures of acknowledgement made it all the more better. Thank you, from NZ

Food ok, not as great as I thought it would be by the reviews. Vegetable soup like dishwater and chips not great. Steak was ok. The disappointment came in the service. The 4 girls more interested in talking about love island than actually seeing to customers. The musty smell was slightly off putting also when eating and the warm water served and warm cans of drink aren’t great even with some Ice on a warm day.

Went there for lunch midweek and it was not very busy, but the main course of our three course lunch was nicely presented and very tasty. Our chosen dessert was just vanilla ice-cream but it was a really pretty presentation and tasted as good as it looked.
