L. R. R.This place is a magical little bar and restaurant. Lots of parking space. Indoor and outdoor dining. Approx 10 mins walk from centre of Portumna past the bridge over the beautiful river Shannon. Fast and friendly service. Great place for a group but just as cosy and romantic atmosphere for a dinner date. Great pub food with a twist. (P.s ... lovely homemade soup.)
S. M.Found this restaurant on 10th October last year and on that occasion we enjoyed a lovely meal. I’m not from this area so we only get up here every few months. Returned to the restaurant this evening for my wife’s Birthday ; it was like a crèche. There were a number of children running around the place, management didn’t bat an eyelid. We had a main course and left.
After that I’m doubtful I will return as it ruined what was planned to be a nice and special evening. Just for completeness, the food , a chicken dish with mushroom and tarragon sauce served with mashed potatoes was indeed delicious- however with the noise and screaming of the children, we ate fast and left.
R.Came here with my friends for food and a few drinks. The inside was a bit dull and grim but we were lucky the sun was shining and we got to sit outside!
The food was absolutely delicious. I had an aubergine and halloumi burger and my god it was so good. The chips were also banging.
The desserts were tasty too.
There’s also a sheltered outdoor seating area which was really cool and covered in plants.
Furthermore, what really made this experience so good was our waitress.
Her name was Sarah. She was genuinely the nicest waitress I’ve ever met. She was very chatty and was also up for a laugh!
Really enjoyed the overall vibe.

H.What a great place for food and drink stopped off here on our way home and was greeted with one of the most freindly reception I have seen in a long time staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Food was great.. This was Easter Sunday and we were here with our 4 year old son. They had so many things for him as gifts for Easter and was given to him by the Easter Bunny. My hats off to you and your staff.

Stopped in after a stroll in Portumna woods, I ordered the rack of ribs (14€) Decent sized portion but it was essentially just cooked and doused in cheap BBQ sauce, like the large catering vats for 2€. No seasoning, no searing, zero extra effort, just the minimum of 'cooked'.
Lovely spot for a drink maybe but I'd skip the food.
R. C.Delighted to have eaten there this evening. Was seated in a charming space. Attended to by the proprietoress.,who was attentive and entertaining and yet not overly so. The waiting staff were super efficient and friendly. The food was fantastic. Will definitely eat there again. Specials board had variety chilli con carne, pasta and racks more. The normal menu massive burgers(my party couldn't finish em... They were massive). I had steak sandwich. Again massive. Others had fish and chips. All enjoyed!!! Price point 12 - 20 euro. Easily there 1 1/2 hours. In no way rushed. Was allowed to enjoy at our pace. In my case the ideal stop on way back from Galway. Will go again and again

Quirky little pub/restaurant beside the river Shannon.
Their halloumi burger (vegetarian dish) is my favourite dish on the menu.
The owner Teresa is a really bubbly, friendly, funny character which really makes the place come alive.
Perfect for a cold evening as they have cosy area beside an open fire for you to sit and enjoy your food.
p. s.Rang ahead to reserve table , food very niceand reasonably price. Staff very friendly ,all wearing face sheilds ,on the down side no draught beer available
