M. W.Cosy little place with welcoming atmosphere. The owner is very nice and friendly really trying to make her customers happy. I wasn't lucky with my choice of fish for dinner but others really enjoyed delicious steaks. The owner offered me extra veggies free of charge when she spotted I wasn't happy with the once from my plate. She also kindly sell me a beautiful cup I had my tea in when it appears that there is none in this color left on the shelves in the shop in front of the cafe. Would recommend for everyone who wants to feel like they're eating at granny's.

The food was delicious I had the chicken curry and it was amazing the portions were very generous and the overall experience was lovely. I put this down to my being so hungry and tired I could have been happy anywhere that gave me food so we went back a couple of days later and found it was just as good the second time.

P.Me and my family party of nine just happened top be looking for a snack and a tea/coffee but when we saw the menu at Ann Mc Donald's and the food that was being delivered to the other tables we decided to have a meal. Everything was fresh, prepared and cooked individually, we all had different dishes and every one was quality. The staff were helpful, friendly and could not do enough - such a warm welcome. Our only downside was that we were due to travel back home to England and this was to be our last meal in Ireland!! Thanks to the staff for a lovely dining experience.

It's a cozy cafe-restaurant with great fresh food and friendly staff. The great finish of the night strawberries with fresh cream on the top were perfect. For sure we will come back here.

a. k.If you're staying near New Ross this is a must. We drove from Duncannon to find some decent vegetarian food and stumbled upon this place, lovely unpretentious filling proper food, enjoyed by myself my mum and my children. Freshly made dinner for around €10 each. Never felt so full after quiche and salad, great size portions, we didn't all have the same thing, they were all generous sizes and delicious. Luckily found at the beginning of our stay will definitely be back to sample other dishes and cake. They have a huge menu of a mixed selection of meals, meat, fish and vegetarian options, panini, baked potatoes, sandwiches, cakes etc and source their produce from local farms. Nice relaxing atmosphere and quiet, the children didn't like the noise of the very busy pub in the village we stuck our heads into it was a relief to find this place. They also have a takeaway menu. Lovely friendly owner.

Ann came to my rescue & willingly agreed to deliver a beautiful lunch to my mother. My mam was extremely happy with the service and throughly enjoyed the food. Very appreciative for making this unusual Mother’s Day special one for my mother . Big thumbs up for Ann, she went the extra mile.

If you are at all close by, take the time and stop by.
This is the second time I've eaten here this week. It's the perfect place for a light bite, sandwich or like me today, dessert.
They also have wine and beer.
I had egg salad the other day. I hadn't eaten eggs in a month and all of a sudden was craving them.
I'm very picky about most foods, but eggs in particular go on the list of if not perfect pass them by. In egg salad, never in the USA. Virtually impossible to find a place that uses real mayonnaise.
But in Ireland I've had good luck, as many places will use mayonnaise and not hydrogenated oils.
So, I had the egg salad, in Ireland called, egg & mayo.
Sorry I took no picture. The eggs are just cut in half and covered in mayonnaise. Ringed with delectable bits of greens and pickled things.
I added a dash of salt and pepper. It was wonderful. The tastes melded together perfectly. I must eat bread with eggs, so I'd asked for a baguette (a pistolet ) and made a little sandwich.
But I ate everything on the plate. Scrumptious.
So today, being even pickier about dessert, I decided to give them a try.
I had a piece of chocolate cake and asked for soft ice cream on the side instead of whipped cream.
Also perfect. Now, here in Ireland most of the soft ice cream is actually made from cream.
(Ever wonder why McD, et al in USA don't use the word "cream" in their soft serve!)
I just had one of the best lemon meringue pies, tarts, that I I've ever eaten. Perfectly tart, offset with an almost crunchy meringue, that was perfectly sweet.
