I went to dinner in the evening and had a lovely time. Service and food was excellent and it was cosy and warm. All covid rules adhered to and the ladies was spotless!

Situated in a very picturesque and remite area. A little piece of heaven where you can take in the views on a beautiful walk way followed by delicious food in the strand. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Going out I'd their way to help you enjoy your visit!

We had a lovely Saturday evening in the Strand. Good for atmosphere. Very reasonable priced. A look places like the Strand are struggling to keep going. They are very seasonal and the mobile home season is closing end of October. If U can support your local pub at least once a week. The staff need our support. 🤔🤗👍

Really nice. Pity the restaurant is only open Thursday to Sunday. Other days it's closed. Ice cream is a little pricey. But they have a lovely coffee van and a little further on another ice cream van. And an ice cream van down on the harbour. Spoilt for choice. Love jumping off the pier, and the crab fishing is brilliant. It's a cheap day out that's a hit in my house. Very clean aswell no litter anywhere.

Didn't visit the pub but had a walk around the little rocky harbour in front of it. Car park on either side and a breakwater on the eastern side. Little scrap of sand & gravel on the western side kids could dig in at a pinch. A few bins, no other facilities. There's also a nice walk around Cahore point.

Having been to this bar a number of times, I was hoping that the recent change of management had brought some improvements to this wonderfully located establishment. The place had needed a deep clean and makeover, and the staff did need to be more efficient and friendlier. The staff have certainly improved, with friendly smiles and reasonable service. While some cosmetic changes have improved the bar, the outdated decor and poor quality seating remain. As we had heard that the bar was now offering lunches, we eagerly went down to try them. The menu was a tad "high brow" for the clientele, I feel. But eager to try something new we plowed on. Service was a little longer than we would have liked. I had the blue cheese, pear, walnut and bacon salad. It did what it said on the tin, but was not the sum of its parts. The plate was too bitty to get a nice cross-section of flavours. The bacon too was "old style" boiled bacon. I was hoping that it would bring some nice salty balance to the meal, but it didn't, and the lumps of fat were unappetising. The long light brown hair I found running through my food did little to encourage my appetite. Overall it was edible and inoffensive. Two of my friends ordered the cheese and bacon toasted sandwiches. Again the bacon had huge lumps of fat. Not offensive to everyone, but including fat in a meal will always divide diners. One of my friends sandwiches was burnt and, unwilling as she was to make a fuss, she had to send it back. She also had the paramesan potato side, which was nice, but a tad expensive at €4 for a small bowl. My other friend had the open prawn sandwich which she pronounced unexceptional, with the marie rose sauce tasting "bland and watered down". She also ordered the Asian slaw, which turned out to be a small bowl of leaves, cabbage and carrot with a small drizzle of lime juice. Exceptionally over-priced and uninspiring at €4. The Strand Bar has such great potential. We were delighted that efforts are being made to improve the place. We would even applaud the management's desire to raise the profile of the place by providing a "classy" menu. However we left feeling that perhaps they'd be better served providing a more "casual gourmet" affair that would suit the patrons better, and to focus on the more serious decor problems over a somewhat pretentious menu.

Beautiful beach with a coffee van which offers a selection of pastries. They also have a pizza place which is delicious. Theres a beautiful outdoor restaurant which is fab. They have an ice cream place too. This beach is such a safe beach for young children. One of the nicest beaches in Wexford 😁

Would have loved to sit in and order as the menu looks delicious however the dog was with us so we opted for the take away menu. If your dog is quiet there is picnic tables outside that you can sit and order /eat. The coffee is also really smooth and great to keep warm on top of the hill. Stunning view!

The Strand Cahore is simply fantastic. Delicious tasty food with great service. The staff are exceptionally efficient and friendly. The addition of The Hatch has meant that despite all the restrictions in place, we have been able to avail of some of their amazing dishes to go. Wood fired pizzas - the perfect thin base - pure perfection every time. We will be back again soon.

I have been here before just for a drink on the tables outside with an amazing view. Last weekend we went there for lunch. We got an outside table and the waiter gave us the menu and told us that the only thing they had from the menu was the pizzas, We asked if they had chips or the chicken wings and were told again that only the pizzas ( however other customers who arrived later were able to order the chips) I asked if it was possible to get a bag of crisp to eat while we were waiting for the pizzas, second disappointment: the crisps were never served but they were added to the bill. Pizzas arrived but the cutlery and napkins were brought to the table 5 minutes later. The pizzas were very nice in appearance but they were very soggy and not as hot as they should be…. The service was very slow and disappointing. I still would go back to enjoy the view with a drink. I am even willing to give it a second chance on the food as long as there is more than only pizzas I like that this is a dog friendly place. For that reason only it deserves 2 stars and one more the view

Had a great experience here with my friends lately. Had heard about this place from friends who visited before. It didn’t disappoint either, the food & service was fantastic, there was a nice lady, I think her name was Aileen. The lunch was very tasty, served in a timely manner also. My wife had a glass of wine which she said was nice. We had no dessert or tea or coffee although the table beside us did and it looked delicious. All in all I would go back again and highly recommend.

That was my first time in The Strand as we had staff party their just before Christmas. Great night and owners were really friendly and approachable. Atmosphere and all decorations were superb. Wexford County Council have done a greatj job with new path on cliff edge in Cahore which leads directly on to beach. Very safe. Well done. What a pleasent surprise awaited us when we visited The Strand Cahore yesterday evening for a quick drink. Summing everything up this establishment fully deserves a 5 star rating for it's friendly and efficient service, it's truly great food and probably one of the best Pizzas we have ever eaten. We drank and dined al fresco which was great, taking in the full panaramic views of the harbour and bay. Aileen, Patrick and family have done an excellent job here since purchasing the premises from Margaret and Leister some short time ago. I cant recommend this Bar and restaurant highly enough !! You will just have to visit to appreciate what's being stated here....Go for it you will not be disappointed, rather somewhat taken back I should think. We decided on the 4 Cheese Pizza shared between us, there was enough to satisfy both of us all washed down with an excellent pint of Heineken. It doesnt get any better than this. Keep up the excellent work, everythings a credit to a very hard working family who took this place by the scruff of the neck and turned it into a gastro pub with a twist !!

Visit the Strand last year and it had an extensive menu food that was fantastic and we could eat in the bar with great views of the coast. My son booked ahead this time as it was a Mothers Day treat and said we would like the corner for the views. When we arrived we were brought to the back Resturant. We did ask and were told that food was only been servered in the Resturant. No Choice. Pity he was not told this before hand. The menu was confusing lots of starters few mains except for the Burger again we asked and were told No Ala Carte menu so the choice was limited. I WAS so looking forward to the rack of lamb. The food and service was excellent but not sure we liked the changes in the choice of menu or seating arrangements. It's a pity because Cahore need a venue like this. A rethink is needed. Best of Luck for the future.

Our family love the new strand bar on our Wexford trips. Finally a beautiful spot has a good bar with great beer selection and food to match. New resturant is a welcome addition but service was very slow (more than 1 hour after ordering), particularly for hungry children and they refused to take a double card payment as "manager doesn't allow it". Expect to see these small teething problems ironed out though and will then be solid 4 star.
