J. M.Recently moved to Portarlington and we were recommended Batonis by our neighbour. After visiting Emo Court House we popped in for out first post lock down dinner date. The team on tonight were very warm and welcoming. Seated in the marquee on a pleasant summer evening. Ordered mains only due to an appointment with a very important euro 2020 match. The other half had the Special Ravioli Carne of the day and I had the mushroom risotto with beef cheeks. Both were delicious always stealing a bite from the other ones plate. I know I've given 5 stars but only issue would be for the beef cheek to be slow cooked and not pan fried. As a side note the other half was over the moon with his first and well deserved Guinness since the lock down was lifted.
O. C.Wonderful, comfortable, well lit restaurant with a balanced Italian menu. I had the bruschetta, tagliatelle and tiramisu - I particularly enjoyed the bruschetta.
