P. M.Very good quality food. Service was excellent too. Dishes were cooked to a very high standard. Every course was very good. I think they could do some more modern dishes. Great meal overall and would definitely recommend it. We were asked to show our covid certs but they didn't scan them and we were not asked for ID. We were asked for a phone number for contact tracing.
L.We came here for lunch spontaneously after arriving in Sligo. Menu is great and reasonably priced, with lovely views on the outdoor seating with some rain cover. The service in particular was exceptional - very accommodating to one of our dietary restrictions made us a dish off menu!
Food was lovely with a surprise soup amuse bouche . Generally could have more vegetarian options (eg more pasta options?) but was overall a very enjoyable experience! Will return!

The ambience was beautiful and got served with complimentary bread and amazing parsnip soup. Ordered fish for main course. The restaurant served brownie and icecream complimentary with happy birthday written on the tray and also sang the song for my husband. It was a perfect dinner. Restaurant staff made the birthday dinner superb! Amazing staff and amazing chef. If you are in sligo, and not eating here, you are missing a big part of Sligo. Must must eat here. It is in a convenient to get to location and the restaurant itself is beautiful inside. The service was perfect, extremely professional staff. The menu has a nice variety with reasonable prices. The food was wonderful, I ordered the Trio of Fish. What a Trio it was! The scallops, the trout, the hake, all incredibly delicious. I want to visit again someday with my wife!
P. C.Nice afternoon tea with all usual elements, sandwiches, cakes, scones. It's all nice but nothing to be blown away by. Menu looks better than it actually is. Sandwiches were fine but cakes were a bit disappointing. I'd say the dinner menu is much nicer than the afternoon tea.

D. N. C.First time to visit Sligo and Eala Bhan blew us away! We got our times wrong and arrived at the restaurant an hour late. Our own faults entirely. The staff, beyond pleasant and polite, offered us a table yor 20 mins later. The food and service was second to none, every dish was a beautiful work of art. Seafood selection was divine. Beef and noodles starter was delicious. Fillet steak was the best we've had. The children's posh fish and chips was a breath of fresh air compared with other restaurants '. We loved that it was sweet potatoes with the fish! Complimentary tasters if sweet potato and butternut squash soup between courses. The staff looked after us very well checking in often and providing our two children with crayons and colouring sheets. Eala Bhan will be hard to beat on our staycation on the Sligo/ Donegal coast.

The atmosphere, the staff the amazing food, presentation and taste was excellent. The menu is fantastic, something for everyone. I truly wanted to try everything and of course I always get food envy looking at other dishes. Well worth a visit and the lovely owner Anthony himself popped up to the table to make sure we were all ok. Well done to all the chefs and staff behind the scenes in the busy kitchen for making our mouths water with deligh. Top class.

M. O.We expected ... more! We went as a couple for dinner on a Thursday night. Reservation was easy, staff on the phone very friendly and flexible. The atmosphere is ok but it's a very noisy place when full. That noisy that it's hard to have a relaxed conversation. Food was ok but it wasn't at a level like the reviews and awards suggest. In my opinion the restaurant has been praised highly over the year and therefore met a level of routine w/o much creativity and eagerness for new experiments left. The risotto and trio of fish was good but we could have had this somewhere else in the same quality. The white wine (half carafe) was too warm and of lower quality. Overall it was an ok experience but we wouldn't go again.

D. K.This was an exquisite local restaurant specializing in fine foods from local sources. Wonderful location, right along the river walk. The preparation was amazing (see photos) and it tasted exactly as good as it looked. I got the seafood trio appetizer and the rack of lamb for an entree. The creme brulee was good, but was all creme with almost no brulee.
J. R.We (3 person) first had to wait next to the toilet with our menu. We knew nothing about the set menu and the staff only gave us the "Early Bird Menu". We saw that the early bird menu was only available between 5:00-6:20 am.
Since it was already 21 o'clock we decided to order a la carte. The staff told us nothing about a cheaper option (set-menu) and so the three of us got rid of 170€ without ordering desserts for everyone. I view the set-menu one day later via the website.
We got a free glass of champagne for waiting and eating and sercice was very good except for the initial difficulties mentioned above.

They brought out an appetiser we didn't order and I actually thought that was then size of my soup, it evidently was not but it was a wonderful way of welcoming their customers. C. M.Amazing food. We had 3 courses and everyone of them was fantastic BUT I suggest white table cloths instead of a wooden table. The front of house manager completely disappeared after 9pm! Why? Trying to catch the eye of a young waitress to pay our bill was very difficult. It did cost €140 for 2 but the food was worth it. We had half a bottle of red wine and one glass of white wine.

When we arrived they had remembered this without any prompting and offered three vegan starters three mains and two desserts. All of which sounded delicious and my wife loved the options she chose. Overall a restaurant that lives up to its billing.

For my part everything was faultless. I would not have changed a thing. Next time I'm asked about my most memorable meal the answer will be easy - it will be Eala Bhan, 31/12/2019 - the last day if the decade! But certainly not my last visit to EB! Well done Anthony & all your staff. You're doing the hospitality industry proud in Sligo & beyond! Keep up the good work.

I had the chicken burger which had a crispy coating and whatever the flavouring was, it was delicious. I'd happily go again just to try the evening menu!

R. G.On the 20th September, 2014 my late wife and I chose to eat here and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland. We asked the owner for suggestions of what to see round Sligo and he gave us a really wonderful idea of what to see and was amazed when we returned the following night to eat there again that we had seen the lot. The food was brilliant, the atmosphere great, but above all was the superb friendly, helpful advice that made us New Zealanders feel right at home.

Arrived with no reservation looking for a table. The waitress/hostess showed us to a beautiful table. The atmosphere was very chilled and relaxed. The lighting/music was perfect. The menu was superb along with the food and the service.

S.Had an absolutely stunning meal here for a family members milestone birthday..First impressions weren't the best due to a long wait for our supposed reserved table..and lack of organisation..However once we returned and finally got seated the staff made it their priority in catering to our every needs..The food here is beyond delicious..Presentation alone makes the mouth water..One downside was the wait between courses..But we were a party of 8 so giving them benefit of the doubt for the reasoning behind this..Thoroughly enjoyable evening..Atmosphere is warming and relaxed..The decor and interior is mesmerising..One could sit all evening reading the Yeats quotes inked on the walls and ceiling..Menu is slightly pricier than other restaurants but it is fine dining, and I suppose you pay for quality not quantity..Would highly recommend Eala Bhan if you're willing to splash out and treat yourself..or a loved one for a romantic meal or occasion..

Fantastic! Parking across the street was readily available, though it was a week night. The potato soup app was really good. The truffle bacon app was simply amazing. So good. I had the sirloin, and it was very good. My wife got the lemon sole and she's still talking about it. We WILL be back to Sligo, and we most definitely WILL be back here! We loved this place!!
