This was like a fine dining Indian restaurant. Food was excellent great choice of food available for all tastes. Some fab spice tastes for the more adventorus Bring ur own wine beer. Service excellent. Decor modern and attractive. upstairs restaurant with large windows overlooking the town

Excellent. Food was lovely and staff so friendly. One of the staff made our 6 year old an origami bird before we left and our two year got to pick the lollipops. Great experience all round!

Hands down one of the best Indian restaurants I have been to, the food was just amazing (lamb biryiani and butter chicken) we don't live locally but any time we are traveling up the country we will make a detour for sure.

I had dinner in Ranna Ghor on Saturday with 3 friends. The restaurant is very well appointed with a pleasant atmosphere and very attentive staff. We all enjoy Indian food and found the quality of the food to be excellent. We were asked before being served how hot (spicey) we liked our food and it was made to perfection. Will definitely visit again.

Absolutely delicious! Been dedicated Indian lovers for all our lives and Rhanna Ghor did not disappoint. Had a large group of 8 of us and every one of us loved each of our dishes! Service is friendly and personal but not intrusive. Food was tasty, well flavoured, fresh and with generous portion sizes. The restaurant was clean, stylish and well maintained. Will definitely be returning on a regular basis!

Working in Thurles for a few days we took a walk into town. Had a search for places to eat and came across Ranna Ghor. It's unlicensed but no big deal. We ordered a few starters and a couple of mains and have to say the food was incredible. Taste, portion size, spice level was amazing. The service from the friendly staff was excellent. You will not leave Ranna Ghor disappointed.

Best Indian I have had in a long time. Got the mixed tandoori starter, which was succulent. I then got a vindaloo that blew the head off me (that's a good thing). Staff was very nice and atmosphere was relaxing. Would recommend.

Pluses > Very friendly staff, service good, nice decor. Minus > Food not cooked in the true Indian style. The chicken was cooked separately and the Korma Sauce poured over it, as was the other chicken dishes that we ordered. Meat did not show any evidence of being marinated before cooking, thus leaving the meat rather dry. Portions were more than ample and one would say generous, but the flavor just was not there.

My husband and i visited for the 1st time tonight and both of us agreed that this is the best Indian meal we have tasted since moving to ireland! Food was outstanding hubby got the tandoori chicken and then the chicken bhuna. I got chicken masala with garlic naan and both dishes were fab. Service was great. Waiters were extremely pleasant. Decor was gorgeous. Nice and fresh and clean. Beautiful views over the river. We will definitely be back!
