Lovely meal with the family. They are checking covid passports so be sure to have yours to fine indoors. Also dining outside looking at the river which is lovely. We were served by a very kind young man named Jakob. So kind and friendly especially to my little boy. Really appreciated his interest in my son. The food was stunning. *****

The restaurant is situated in a beautiful place looking out toward the river . The food tastes divine and the staff are very friendly .It's a very busy spot and you might have to wait 10 to 15 minutes. But well worth the wait.

I've eaten here regularly on trips to beautiful Ballina (and across the bridge to equally beautiful Killaloe). What a wonderful place to eat! I'm so surprise that the vegan, vegetarian and the rotations available are firstly available and secondly so good. I'm not vegan or vegetarian but I do love eating vegan and vegetarian dishes and I have not been disappointed. The chickpea burger is fresh and wholesome and not one of those awful 'vegan' burgers that looks like a 'real' burger and is pretty distasteful in taste and looks. Served with loads of tasty vegetables and any bits you want, it's filling, delicious and just makes you feel good. Lovely atmosphere, really great, skilled, staff. I can't recommend it enough. i advent; experienced it in the warmer months but it's been a welcome place in the cold dark days over the last few months. My fellow diners have ordered fish pie and burgers and all rated the fish as really really good. Go and enjoy!

Distinctly average. It was a Sunday evening after a busy sunny August weekend in the town so I’m sure they were exhausted and had been very busy. Starters were good I have to say - seafood chowder and Caesar salad. We each had lamb for main and unfortunately it was dry and over cooked and the accompanying potatoes and veg had clearly been prepared much much earlier in the day and were pale and tasteless. Service was efficient rather than friendly after what I’m sure was two very busy days.

We went last Saturday evening and were all impressed by the food, drinks and service; plus prices are very reasonable. All our food was freshly prepared, my husband had the plaice which was beautifully cooked and presented. I had the curry which was lovely and the prosecco was divine. I'll be back!

One of the best meals on our trip to Ireland was at goosers. It was a last minute dinner choice and couldn't have been better! The duck was fabulous. My husband was on a mission to find the best fish and chips on our trip and said this was the clear winner over the many other restaurants we tried. The only downfall is it was very warm inside the restaurant so it kept us from staying longer and enjoying dessert. We would definitely return if we are in the area again!

One of a few remaining authentic eating houses. The real deal. Very popular with local (expanded) community so u will have competition for tables in late afternoon and early evening. Limited seating in bar but their is also a restaurant out the back. Great reputation for food.

Goosers is located in Killaloe overlooking the river (see my panoramic picture from its front door) it has a great selection of beers and wines, a traditional style pub with absolutely top notch home cooked style food. Fish dishes are amazing. Nice friendly atmosphere and polite staff. Seated straight away and severed very quickly. Would highly recommend this establishment to one and all. Allergy info on foods and great kiddies menu. You won't regret a visit if passing through. 5 thumbs up!

Atmospheric pub, with roaring fireplace(s), warm, friendly. Good Cuisine, would recommend for larger gatherings. Can get loud once full, so don't be surprised to find yourself shouting at the person next to you.

Extensive menu offers MANY filling options ranging about 8-25 euro in cost. The food was wonderful and much attention is given to plating/presentation. A lively fire made for a comfortable experience on a chilly day. Highly recommended.

Bad service. Overpriced for what it is. Come on 26.00 for a steak???? With frozen chips. Staff are useless. They cleared our table while one member was still eating. I asked them what were they thinking serving frozen chips. I was told that they were too busy to have someone full time cutting fresh chips. I nearly fell off my chair laughing. Our frozen chips stank of prawn. When we complained we were just told sorry it's the end of the week and the oil is only changed once a week. Laughable. The chips were untouched. No... would you like something else.... or we will take it from your bill. My advice. Hop in your car. Head 15 min to Garrykennedy and see how it should be done. Saying that. You can go and get decent food. But you are taking a gamble. This is the third time in a row things like this has happened. I won't be back. Sorry. I hope you can learn from this post and up your game.
