A classic Irish restaurant characterized by robust quality and tradition. The people serving were very attentive to safety rules to fight pandemic. It is possible to dine indoor for holder of vaccination certificates. Tables impeccable. Quick service despite the restaurant was almost full. I enjoyed the chowder, creamy, made with fish and seafood as well, some herbs and a taste of mushroom I couldn't identify for sure but it glorified the experience because matched perfectly transforming the traditional chowder in a welcomed surprise. Excellent the monkfish! Very good the dessert too, I took the chocolate and almond cake, well done, not too sweet or heavy or chunky, enjoyable and well above the standard of desserts in Ireland, from my Italian point of view. Very good choice of wines properly kept in storage and served. The final bill was less then expected for such quality.

I made a booking at Cassidy’s restaurant for myself and my boyfriend and my son for Sunday Dinner out. I had Seabass and vegetables and it was really tasty. My boyfriend had a vegetarian curry dish which he found tasty and enjoyed his meal. My son had chicken and mash potato which he found spicy. For desert my boyfriend had a lasagna ice cream dish and my son had vanilla ice cream. My boyfriend and I had Latte coffee each. The staff were very accommodating and lovely and the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere.

We were walking around downtown Tralee probably looking a little lost and confused when a local couple asked us if they could be of any assistance. We had been looking for a place to eat but many of them hadn`t opened as of yet, and they encouraged us to look at Cassidy`s, particularly their early bird special. We decided to give it a go and were not disappointed. My wife and I each ordered the Sea Bass which was delicious. It came a side of mixed veggies, an appetizer (I went with the chowder, and my wife had the mushrooms which were both very good), desert (my wife had the cheesecake which was good, and i had the apple blackberry crisp which was excellent) and tea or coffee. If I were to classify this restaurant, I would say its a place to bring your mom. Very elegant, service was attentive with fast, with tasty food all for a pretty good price. The restaurant is a little old, but well maintained, and definitely worth a recommendation.

We visited Cassidy’s Restaurant for the first time last night and my God what a pleasant experience! From once we walked inside the door we felt the welcome and the warmth of the staff and surroundings. The food was absolutely gorgeous and the service was excellent. We felt so relaxed there and I spoke with the proprietor who is a lovely lady. As busy as the restaurant was she had time to talk and mingle with the customers! We will definitely be back!👏👏👏

Cassidy's was recommended to me and I'm vey glad it was. We ordered off the set menu, €25 for 3 courses. I had the brie starter which was lovely and light. Mains I had the risotto and it was delicious and had plenty of room for dessert, just perfect portion sizes. Chocolate brownie to finish. My husband had the bruschetta, the hake for mains and the apple crumble for dessert and loved every bit. The Guinness was good too by all accounts. Overall, for a good feed for a good price and great service and nice few drinks, Cassidy's is a must

First time visiting this restaurant and I must say it is a brilliant place to eat. We got the evening deal for 23.50€. I had mushroom for starters which were delicious. I had steak for mains which was extra but it was so worth it. It was cooked to perfection. And a selection of ice cream to end the night. Great value for top class food.

Excellent, went with ten people. had the set menu for €23.50 simply because that was the first menu we got and we didn't ask for the main menu. Plenty of choice. Our table had 4 different starters and they all were excellent. My sea base main course was delicious, half a dozen flavours and textures all complimenting each other beautifully. I read the previous review and I can say my pavlova was absolutely delicious, it was in fact perfect. The staff were great even playing a prank on one of our party for us. He was looking forward in a big way to the pavlova and we got them to tell bring the deserts to everyone else and then apologise to him that there was no more left. He did get his pavlova though and his tea. When all was done it seemed unbelievable that we could get such an excellent meal for €23.50. It wasn't simply a good meal, it was a great meal, portions not huge but delicious.

Almost a good restaurant. The staff were excellent, attentive and personable. The ambience is very good, cosy and snug with a touch of Irish rustic charm. The chowder was great. The gorgonzola and walnut ravioli missed the mark. The acidity of the tomato sauce drowned the flavours of the ravioli. The pavlova dessert was large but not particularly tasty. The expresso coffee was made with beans that had been ground days ago and lost their freshness. The house Rose´was undrinkable. It could be so much better but some one is not taking care of the quality of what is being served. Shame really, it could be great.

The best meal we had during our 10-day trip to Ireland was at Cassidy's Restaurant in Tralee. The food was outstanding, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere was comfortable and easy-going while feeling relatively upscale. I had a fillet that was as good as any I've had and my wife enjoyed her pan-fried seabass as well. We happened to be there in time for the early bird prices, so even with starters, several drinks, and a dessert, the price was a very reasonable $75 U.S. for two of us. Compared to overpriced meals we had in Kilarney and Cork that weren't nearly as good, Cassidy's was a wonderful value! I'll also give a second mention for the staff who were absolutely outstanding. Don't overlook this place when visiting County Kerry.

The mussels were definitely excellent and the staff very friendly. The main courses however were decent, not exceptional (both meat and fish). Furthermore, the bill was quite high for what we had eaten. Despite this, the place is very nice and I recommend trying the slightly more particular things instead of the slightly simpler dishes.

Nice restaurant with very polite and helpful service. The menu is tidy and the dishes are classy but not decadent. Personally it's a bit too dark for me but that's a matter of taste. Otherwise there is nothing wrong with the prices either. Definitely on my list of restaurants to visit again.
