M. S.Food was good but service really took from the experience. Server was grumpy and never said a word or smiled. Had to be asked to bring finger cleaning items with crab claws and then had to wait for them. Other dishes lovely but my linguine was very tasteless, my own sauce would have been more tasty.
Overall, just ok for the price.
B. B.My wife ordered a sirloin steak, blue, and it was incredible. Cooked to perfection, very flavorful, incredibly tender. The accompanying garlic potatoes were also very good. I had the lasagne, and it's one of the best I've had in a long time. Cooked with fresh ingredients, served with crispy fries and garlic bread. The only down side to the lasagne was that there was slightly too much basil in the lasagne. Other than that, it was a fantastic meal and well worth the price.

D. L.The food here is almost always delicious- I very much recommend the Hereford steak baguette- its yum! Today we had scampi and the Moroccan steak, both were excellent. Last week, because the steak baguette was unavailable, i had the prawns on brown bread. Unfortunately this was very disappointing- tony prawns, few of them and a bland sauce. However, this is not indicative of the usual syandard, so maybe avoid this!
The levels of hygiene and physical distancing is excellent, I really feel the welfare of staff and customers is a priority.
Lovely location - ardfert is steeped in history. This is also a great spot if you've been to Fenit, just take the road via Churchill to Ardfert.
E.Wonderful place to have food at, the portions were big for my family and two people easily shared the same dish.
The friendly staff seated us very quickly and the food arrived in less than 10 minutes as well!

Valentia slate stone floor, traditional details to the decor make it very Cosey. Multiple open fires warm you on a winters Day .
Food options excellent. Small offerings such as French onion soup, many tasty sandwiches and cakes or full main course options all well presented and tasty. Crab claws or crab bake, rub eye is delish, chips are twice cooked and crispy, sides are also good, coffee is very good if you have room. Great for celebrations large or small, table for 6nor 2 I would Highly recommend this place for a bite to eat.. Glueten free beer and food options available.
Covid spec is excellent booking is recommended.

A free kids baby bowl was just one of many examples how this establishment stands out from the crowd. The Owner even popped round to our table to greet us in his ininatable Kerry style. P. M.Just went for lunch with my sister's, food was great as usual. The waiter was very polite and took care of us . The only thing was I arrived early and entered the restaurant I said hello to 2 staff and 1 said hello the bar maid ignored me. The waiter who served us lunch was the third staff member I said hello to and asked if I would like anything while I was waiting. I ordered a latte It was beautiful but not layered.
Prices for food and was reasonable considering the quality you get.

C. K.Always tasty food, a somewhat different menu - worth trying it out, everything I've eaten there has been great. It's a busy spot at weekends, if it's a large group/family you might need to book ahead. Good Irish music (if that's your thing) and not too loud.

On a sunny day it’s lovely to sit on the outdoor seats and on a cold evening it’s always lovely to come in as they always have a fire on during the winter ❄️ . B. D.Kate Browne's is a lovely traditional pub with an extensive menu which has something for everyone. We were catered for royally by the food, but the staff member serving us was an exceptionally nice woman. A genuine smile and nothing was too much trouble for her. G. M.If you are ever any where near Kate Browne's you need to go. This is one of the loveliest pubs I have ever eaten in. The main menu is superb and the daily specials are spectacular. We adore the chowder and the homemade pate. Everything is homemade with care, by a very talented chef.
We love the wine and beer - this is the best kept Guinness we have had in an age. I love the Sav Blanc.
The staff that work there are superb, super friendly and very local. This is a place that hits my top five ever...... simply lovely.

D. K.So I have a weird hobby wherever I go in Ireland if they have chowder on the menu I have to taste it. It's the best I had so far, all the food was amazing and prices were reasonable. I ate in kenmare, in killarney in tralee and this place so far was the best. Dessert was amazing, chowder was amazing, fish and chips and steak sandwich amazing. I'm a foodie and a harsh critic and also very honest. Food is fantastic!

So my main meal cost me €15.00 + €3.50 for veg (smallest portion I have ever seen 5 chuncks of carrot 1" of cauliflower and Broccoli afew diced turnips and 8 peas... ) the waitress looked embarassed to tell me..

C.I'm not usually a fan of Kate Brown's because it is so busy. We stopped in on the way back from the beach for a light bite I had the bbq ribs and the fiancee the crab meat open sandwich. Mine was nice hers was awesome I ate half we argued it was worth it. No pic because there was only a short window to steal her food.
