Reviews of Sammy's Restaurant and Beach Bar
Great place right behind the beach, bar closes 8pm on weekends and 5pm week days. Pint of Guinness €5
We visited in October so the busy season was over, but we had an amazing Friday night listening to live music and eating wonderful food right on Inch Beach. The bar is cozy and the staff are friendly and the choice to have small plates or mains was lovely.
Beautiful views!!! Nice outside seating. Prices were high. Service very slow! We ordered two lattes, and a piece of banana cake that looked amazing- but was dry. 🫤 and the frosting and I love frosting, tasted of butter.
I would go again. But probably just a cop of tea.
I have been a couple of times there. The Food is fresh, cooked well. It is just beside the Inch beach ⛱️. Dessert/ Brownie was absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend
This place is right on inch beach. Be warned as it's one of the really only places available it's seriously busy. Staff cope really well with this. They informed people that there delays etc.. it's a tight squeeze in the cafe one door in and out. They had a lovely selection of cakes and treats.
We made a visit after a park run on a Saturday morning. Breakfast for our group. The omelette and Irish breakfast where tasteful. Some of us tried the scones as well. Very good. They also got a kind of scone gluten-free. More gluten free alternatives where there. Sweet staff tha was very efficient. Sammy’s is literally on the Inch beach. Big parking outside. WC. Wheelchair friendly. Beware of buses with tourists coming in for the same time as you
This restaurant has a great view. It has a terrace from which you can see the whole beach. There are not many parking spaces, but no worries, because there are many parking spaces directly on the pallet next to the restaurant. I had a fish and chips, the best in my life. Staff working there incredible nice.
Dining with a view. On a sunny day definitely sit outside at the picnic benches and take in the view while you eat. Food was grand. There is a car park right beside and it is ideal for stopping off before or after a walk along the beach.
Went away for weekend and went here for dinner twice. Food was amazing no faults at all, the service was excellent. Can't reccomend it enough.
Great meal. Very nice beach. If you come down from the Dingle Way to the beach, you can already enjoy the beautiful view.
The food is very tasty and the price is ok. Cut place there is a WLAN which requires some patience.
Had a lovely evening. Great atmosphere from all staff, bar, kitchen, waitresses and front of house. Just immediately felt welcome.
The food was superb.
We highly recommend having a meal here. We would also suggest pre booking as it was quite busy. The front of house lady found us a table for two which was very much appreciated. Especially as it was a Friday night.
You could feel that it was a good team that worked very well together! Thank you and hopefully we will be back one day. 10 out of 10.
Beautiful restaurant on the famous inch beach the wild Atlantic way .if you are lucky which I was in march Sun 🌞 and warm .eat in or out what ever suits .Dog's kids people from every walk off life come here . I had wild mushroom 🍄 soup and brown bread. Good size bowl 🥣. Defo be back 😀
We were @Sammy’s Sunday after the 2023 Dingle Marathon. Everything was amazing! Service was sharp and quick. Food fresh and well prepared. Thank you so much!!
Excellent service, super nice and helpful. Very tasty food like fish and chips, sandwiches, burgers. Generous portions even for kids. Place located actually on the beach by the ocean. Perfect spot to visit after a day on the beach.
Absolutely delicious vegetarian meal. Friendly staff and great coffee, only missed some option of dairy free milk. Stunning view of inch beach while having a meal. Definitely worth a visit.
Coffee was good, you could buy icecreams in the shop of the back, the shop down the back was definetly overpriced
Myself and my daughter came here for breakfast. Couldn't fault it. Staff were so nice. Breakfast was lovely. Great value for money and excellent views.
Lovely food and great staff, we ate here twice during our stay near inch beach. Guinness is lovely and you can't beat the view from the picnic tables on the strand.
***** A KITSCHY BEACH SHACK *****
Wish we would’ve had time to stop for lunch given all the wonderful reviews, but on our tour it was a quick coffee and bathroom break. Just availed ourselves of a couple of cappuccinos from the machine and got back on the bus.😪
very friendly service, delicious food, huge portion, funny fact that they forgot our order and after 25min. the waiter offered a meal for free! 👍
Really great place on Inch beach. Everything from coffee, ice cream, quick snack or a meal this place is superb. Lovely food served there this evening made perfect by unbelievable weather. Don't pass this place by.
Very close to the beach. The server did not mind us using the picnic tables even though we had brought our own food. We got teas and coffee and could use the toilets.
Friendly staff and just what you expect from a beach bar /cafe . Food is beautiful and well presented and not a long wait on it , €22 for two breakfast 2x drinks and extra portion of toast .
Sammy’s is a really lovely place. While walking the Dingle Way, we stopped for some amazing sandwiches. They were innovative and delicious! We spent a very pleasant couple of hours outside at tables under their stretched canvas awning with our feet in the sand. We were all really impressed with this place. One of the highlights for us of the entire Dingle Way! We plan to make a day trip back here with the rest of the family over the summer. Fabulous spot!
The food was really delicious and the employees were very friendly as well❤️☺️ The prices were also adequate in terms of location which is right next to the inch beach 🏖️🏝️
Ambiance is great, right on the beach. Food was actually fresh and delicious . we had the salmon, the shrimp and the sausage with mashed. They were all terrific . The best part was our waiter Donal. His humor set the tone for the whole meal and we all had a great time.
I went to inch beach with my family for the day. We went to Sammy's restaurant and cafe for lunch. Found the staff very effecient and helpful. Service was quick despite they been busy. The restaurant and toilets were very clean. Our food was delicious. I had fish and chips and my mother had chowder. It was delicious.
On the positive side, very good mussels starter and Thai curry (which I had) but Sarah was not so keen on the fish & chips. Fish was OK but chips were like Iceland economy oven chips.
My big beef and low scoring was because this is the first time ever in Ireland or the UK where I have been refused a bowl of water for my dog. The reason given was that they were not responsible for clearing away the bowl afterwards. (?!). But I assume they will clear away our drinks glasses. How's that work exactly? Doesn't make sense.
Could be that the beach goes right up to the front of the restaurant and we were drinking on the outside benches, but it still doesn't add up since they must be responsible for removing their customers used drinking glasses (plastic).
I noticed that other customers made the same complaint while I was there.
Often the answer is simple. Put a large immovable bowl outside and keep it topped up with water. Job done.
Second whinge is that our starters didn't arrive at the same time. Mine arrived 20 mins after Sarah's did. So I ended up having my starter at the same time as my mains. Mix up with the order. Had to chase twice.
Having said that, my meal was worth the wait. Very good.
Incredible location, amazing views of the sea and surf. Food was excellent, great flavours, soups and chowder were full of flavour, would highly recommend the red chicken curry .Great value for money.
Great spot for coffee with outdoor picnic benches set up with an incredible view of Inch beach. Food looked very good but didn't eat on this visit. Staff extremely friendly and were very helpful towards other guests who were off a tour bus. Would go back here!
Lovely place, very busy. Nice selection of food and yummy coffee.
We had a wonderful experience at Sammy's. The food was amazing, although somewhat pricy.
The restaurant is situated at a beautiful locale! We had an Irish breakfast overlooking Inch beach. Will definitely be back whenever I'm in the area!
Stopped by for a warming cuppa after strolling in the waves. Had a quick look, as you do, at the menu and decided to try the seafood platter for two with himself. Extremely impressed. The mussels were divine, the oysters perfect, the fishcake would have been substantial on their own. Tasty smoked salmon and prawns Marie Rose completed the deal. Tasty, fresh, well presented and good value.
The service was pleasant and efficient too.
Have always enjoyed whenever we visit Inch and will be recommending to all. Well done.
Amazing little find! Staff were very friendly and great service. Food was absolutely delicious, view was amazing.
Despite the overcast, damp and really windy weather, Sammy's Restaurant was quite busy when we arrived. We'd hoped for a seat by the window to look out onto the beach, but there were none available. We were given a table for two that still allowed us to see out a bit as the windows are quite large. Our waiter was friendly and quick to take care of us. We were just looking for a light lunch, so we had hot sandwiches. They were good, as were the chips. There's also a cafe with bakery, but we were full from our lunch and pints and needed to get back on the hiking trail. A nice stop along the way.
Beutyful beachside reastaurant and pub serving fresh oyster, chowder and a daily fish and chips (had cod when we were visiting).
Very good food served by kind and attentive personal.
beautiful place, common restaurant, excellent food, good service, a bit more expensive but for tourists just
We visited this place early spring hence it wasn’t much crowded. Do not expect a very high quality and see it as a pub that serves food. We ordered Seafood Chowder which was too creamy in my opinion. However the scenery of Inch Beach is awesome.

We had Fish and Chips, was amazing😍There was lots of bean bags to chill on too.
Amazing experience. Very friendly staff and excellent food.
Great little beach bar/ dinner. Super friendly, clean and great atmosphere.
I've spent the last 3 months traveling and camping throughout Kerry. I have to say that I enjoyed the Fish and Chips at Sammy's! Arguably, the best I have experienced. Loads of other quality meals on the menu that I need to try but I've eaten the Fish and Chips 3x it was so nice. Also had the Mussels and they were excellent! Next time I'm ordering the steak and burger because they looked amazing. Great coffee with friendly and professional staff. Also, I enjoyed great pints! To top it all off it's located on one of the best beaches in the country. Cant wait until summer! It's a gem!
The food here was wonderful. We just called in for a bite to eat on our way to dingle and so delighted we did. We got the sea food chowder, prawn salad and the soup of the day, which was mushroom. We all throughly enjoyed the food it was full of flavour and perfect for a little bite. Our server was so lovely and friendly, unfortunately we didn’t get her name, but she was worth the mention because she was so nice. So glad we stopped here.
We had a table for 10, with 2 children. We might as well have been family the way were were looked after. Dietary needs. The quality of the produce was excellent and the cooking was top class. Service brilliant and a stunning setting. We've eaten there 2 nights out of 3 and will go again this evening!
Tasty food great portions, and lovely sea views. Recommended
We just spot it from the road and decided in 2 seconds to go for some food. We choose classic, fish and chips..... BEST FISH AND CHIPS EVER!!!!! I even ate fish batter (I never do it cause it's always grease, not here!!!). Fish so tasty, chips fabulous, sauce really good..... even tap water taste good 😆 And location..... wow. Next time we try something else from menu.
Really tasty food, friendy stuff and beautiful views.
On sunday evening we had a very good dinner. Chris found a table for us even though we had not reserved. We had a seafood chowder and a seafood platter to share. A glass of Chile white wine each. All were delicious. We had a great time.
Such a great location. The chowder was delicious. And the pint is even better still.
Best seafood chowder yet on our trip! Fully recommend!
Every time delicious food, great and friendly service, relaxed atmosphere, beautiful surroundings.
Lovely family run coffee shop on the beach. Queues at times due to one girl doing all the coffees but nice food and service. Selection of pastries and pre-made sandwiches. The sausage and black pudding rolls were delicious!
Very nice dishes, good atmosphere. Keep it up like this!
Beautiful view on the beach food is ok some chips pizzas burgers 🍔 😋
Lovely walk on Inch beach....cup of coffee in Sammy's after....to warm us up..
Lovely place with a beautiful bar and gorgeous beach. One bar staff wasn't very helpful. She just left us there rather than calling someone. The guy that did serve us was lovely. There was a n issue at the till in the gift shop but a lovely lady jumped on and helped us. We were on a time schedule with the bus.
The place has a great set of pastries, the fish and chips is good. The scenery is ideal. Right in front of the ocean.
You can also rent surf boards if you want to surf, last time I rented it was about 15€ for a couple of hours.
Unbelievable location looking straight out on Inch beach , good food , nice pint & good staff !
Great fish and chips at Sammy's and friendly service, right next to beautiful Inch Co Kerry
Stopped at Sammy's for lunch during tour of Dingle peninsula. Decided on the Sea Bream off the specials menu. Served with baked artichokes. It was a first class meal. Highly recommended.
Friendly staff. Great food menu and range of outdoor dining. Mussels are recommended 😋
Great find. Was nicely suprised by the quality of the food here. Everything we ordered was great and each member of staff friendly and helpful and the view is amazing
You've got to meet Ken the bar man. He's enthusiastic and quick to serve no matter how busy the place is with good weather and always ready with friendly and upbeat conversation. The food is lovely too. Just make sure to park sensibly in the car park on the right hand side when you arrive or if it's full stay to the left as you drive onto the sand and don't drive too far down the beach to avoid getting stuck in the sand.
My self and son went for a few pints and chilli time and honestly never met staff so nice, honestly never felt so at home in a bar/restaurant in all my years, nicest staff I've ever come across.
Lovely restaurant right on the beach with really friendly staff and great food. The fish and chips were just awesome! Very much worth a visit!
Good food next to a stunning beach
Friendly, accommodating, professional and well run establishment. The food is locally sourced and delicious. The views perfectly enhance the enjoyment of the meal. Ring ahead and book. We will be back.
Really nice spot, just in front of the Beach, friendly staff amazing food.. Lovely Guinnes
Amazing food and such friendly staff
Food was amazing ,staff were very friendly ,love the relaxing vibe ,was waiting all winter for it to reopen ,love the location ,the scenery ,ticks every box, very happy ,and will probably be going here every week to try the rest of the menu ,well done chef
Really busy today June Bank Holiday and hot weather so booked in advance. Food was good. Service was excellent with friendly staff. Some Noisy and troublesome clientele arrived so we left.
Excellent. Came here with 4 kids - the portions were huge and the food was great. Service great too even though it was busy. Fantastic setting. Great variety of menu and lots of amazing looking gluten free deserts.
Nice selection of sandwiches, cakes and hot meals. The children's meals are huge and we ended up taking leftovers with us. Very reasonably priced and just what you need after, or before, running about on the beach. Highly recommended.
Nice place, great location. Food was fantastic but pricey. Overall a good value though. Drinks were typical or Ireland. Service was a bit lacking, but we really didn't have to wait for anything to long.
Lovely place just on Inch Beach. Great view, tasty food and handy parking 👍
Nice coffee. Staff not so friendly and seemed stressed out. Another example of a place relying on its location and not putting much effort into an honest welcome. Place was busy enough and fairly messy. Toilets needed attention and €4.95 for a bit of cake is a bit cheeky. That said of course the views are amazing and location is fab.
Great place to eat. Friendly staff and service good. Food very fresh and reasonably priced.
Great place, right on Inch Beach. Food was delicious, loads of choice. Staff were polite, attentive and friendly.
Lovely bar and restaurant situated on an idyllic spot overlooking Inch beach. Great place for breakfast in the morning while watching the Atlantic waves wash ashore. Good selection of food and staff are friendly and helpful. Recommended stop off while navigating the Dingle peninsula
Best chowder ever , great view and service. Take a walk along Inch Beach after.
