Lovely views all around this area. Definitely worth the road trip. Jamie Knox Watersports is a firm family favourite. Spillanes does great food too and well with a visit.

Fabulous food with friendly staff. Good for pescatarians although vegetarian options offered. I didn't book on the Saturday night I went but it was in March and not peak season. Mainly locals there when I visited. I was too tired to hang around for the live Irish music commencing at 10pm. Would go again as food is superb.

Experience at spillanes was abit mixed. Seemed to have run out of everything for starters, no garlic bread, no chicken wings.Also there was no pizzas for main. Ice Cream was delicious and rest of food was beautiful. Would be 4 star only to the fact of alot of food missing from the menu

Well worth the drive through Castlegregory and to the Maharees. Great local seafood in a cozy pub. Always hammered during the summer and reservations needed for a table. We had the early bird special recently at €15 for a starter and a main - went with the mussels and the shrimp pasta with garlic, chilli and lemon - very good and a bargain at that price!

Food was excellent I had the burger and was very tasty. I would have preferred a bun with seaseme seeds on top as visually look better than bun without. Be that as it may it still did not take from the taste. Amazed there were so little local fresh fish choices on the menu or is it a sign of the times that small fishing villages have very few working fishermen landing their catch locally.

Spillanes has never ever been anything other than amazing. We've just had a meal that was quite simply delicious. The prawn and linguini was exquisite and my goats cheese with cashew nuts, orange and salad was only heaven sent. The kids loved their pizza and burger. Our server Marie(the prosecco queen) is a dote. Add the views, the weather and the laid back vibe and its 10 out of 10. We keep going back cause its like a mini holiday every time.
