I have spent one week in Waterford and this was the best food restaurant I had a chance to visit, taste wise. Very well prepared, real Italian like.

Lovely restaurant, have gone there twice recently and have got steak both times, cooked very skilfully, and really liked the wedges. The last time I ordered garlic bread and ribeye steak from the early bird. The steak was some of the best I’ve ever had, even better than their fillet steak in my opinion. The peppercorn source was lovely too

We have eaten here a few times this year, it's a very nice little restaurant with a good menu and very friendly staff. We had our newborn baby with is and the staff were very accommodating. The house wine is delicious and goes well with the menu too.

I visited Waterford in late June 2019 - as a young teenage lad I lived there with my grandmother for a year in 1959. I booked a table for four at La Fontana for myself, wife and two teenage kids. The service was excellent, very friendly staff, the manager / owner was friendly too and kept a close eye on us diners to make sure everybody was happy. The food was absolutely delicious, I asked for a glass of red wine and a very large glass emerged - who am I to refuse it? I never leave reviews and I haven't been here in a year, but I visited Waterford last year and we went to this restaurant on a whim, loved it and decided to go back the very next night. I haven't stopped thinking about it since. Go! And order some kind of seafood because it's so fresh. Also the staff were some of the nicest I've ever come across.

It's ok, I wasn't blown away. The staff are lovely.

Great atmosphere, with Italian owner meeting and greeting you at the entrance but also keeping a close eye on the service to ensure each guest gets top quality experience. We visited around Easter and got traditional Italian columba slices complimentary after the meal which was nice treat. Tasty food and very attentive staff so highly recommend.

If you're looking for a proper authentic Italian restaurant experience, this is one of two spectacular Italian restaurants in the city. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food is immaculate and the specials are creative and rotate daily. Paired with a wonderful view of the Quay and river, La Fontana definitely satisfies beyond expectations.

Was a couple of weeks ago. Best pizza have had in a long time. Waiter mentioned he was from the home of pizza. He did not dissapoint. Cappriciosa was absolutely on point. The prawn pasta dish was fantastic. Will definitely be back. And all extremely reasonably priced

The prices are normal, but the portions are quite small. It was really great in terms of taste. The waiters are nice and accommodating, here you feel really comfortable. We would come back. (Original) Wer gern mal italienisch isst, sollte sich dieses Restaurant mal genauer anschauen. Auch hier sind wir spontan eingekehrt und wurden gleich herzlich empfangen. Ein gemuetlicher kleiner Laden laedt hier zum italienischen Essen ein. Die Preise sind normal, doch die Portionen schon recht klein. Dafuer war es geschmacklich echt super. Die kellner sind nett und zuvorkommend, hier fuehlt man sich wirklich wohl. Wir wuerden wiederkommen.
