First time using a Shake Dog diner. Was pleasantly surprised. Place was pretty packed when we got there. Seated and order taken quickly. About 20 min wait for our food even though there was plenty of tables before us. Family of four, everyone enjoyed their food, great 10e meal deals. Substantial feed. Gents toilets were spotless. Waitresses were friendly.

I am an American and had been traveling all over Europe for several months. I accidentally came upon this restaurant. My husband and I got burgers and nachos! Everything was perfect and was just what we needed. Not overly priced. Staff was courteous to me and other patrons.

Absolutely spot on service!!! I, being from North America and abroad for quite some time now, have been craving pancakes (good old-fashioned fluffy American style ones) for ages. I've been on a sailing ship for quite a while and my friends promised me pancakes for my birthday (which was yesterday) next time we were in port. We stopped in Waterford and searched high and low for somewhere selling pancakes. Rockin' Joe's was a 25 minute walk from our ship, and when we finally arrived it was to be told that pancakes were only for breakfast (it was 1900 by this point). We asked another server, explaining how badly everyone wanted to get me some pancakes, and she made the exception, saying that the kitchen wouldn't be happy but that she would deal with it. I was floored and thrilled by her accommodating attitude, and so grateful for her understanding. Excellent customer service; I would not hesitate to return here next time I'm in Waterford.

It was fairly average, the €10 deal is worth the money but the staff weren't even wearing face masks, also, theirs only a little sanitizer dispenser that you have to look for. The food is lovely though, but they don't really have anything for covid-19 except the sanitizer on the wall. 4 stars.

We had both dinner and breakfast here. At dinner the burgers were 5* the milkshakes were 5* the service was 5* . However the chips were a big let down Luke warm absolutely no flavour. My partner ordered cheesy chips and it was clear they used the Easi singles cheese and not proper cheese. Not nice at all. We left the chips. While the service was good. The girl serving us had extra long false nails. Fine for a night out but not when serving in a food establishment, it's was a turn off, even if she wore gloves to hide them it would be better. The same girl was picking up the cutlery by the top and not by the handles. Breakfast.....The full Irish and the coffee my partner had was nice. I had an ommlette and a pot of tea. I had to leave the tea as either the tea or the cup tasted like dish water. The ommlette was tasteless and again they used the cheap easi singles and not the proper cheese. I will be back for the burgers and shakes. But the boss needs to look at the complaints and improve them as it is a great little restaurant

Lovely friendly staff, menu very similar to Eddie Rockets, 13 euro for any burger, any type of fries plus shake or mineral. Tried 4 different burgers, all lovely, sweet potato fries yum yum and the cheese and bacon fries. Too full for dessert. Lovely disabled bathrooms....would like table for wheelchair user away from door if ever possible. Ordered tenders to take away...nice big portion.

Every time I have been here there has been something that made my meal a little less pleasant, whether it was a dry burger, or a sub par milkshake, or bad service. They claim to be an 'American style diner' although they do so very poorly. I still occasionally go here because there isn't much choice in Waterford for this type of food, but the last few time seem like they haven't gotten worse. I will say the last time I went, my daughter accidentally spilled her shake on her burger and they offered to replace both straight away! An I was actually pleasantly surprised by my smoke house burger this time, however the milkshake tasted like too much milk and fake Oreos...
