L. a. M. O.We recently got married in The Haven Hotel. There is no one word to describe the whole experience. Karen , Paul and all the staff are amazing. They created a wonderful relaxed family happy atmosphere. It's undescribable. And don't get me started on the food. Delicious! I recommend everything, and the famous beef exceeds all expectations. The accommodation is beautiful everythingyou need.
Throughout cancelling our wedding date a few times with the pandemic, we were always reassured, supported with everything. Anything you might request or ask is answered with "No problem ". I would love everyone to experience the warmth joy and happiness that The Haven Hotel gave us on our magical day. This hotel and its staff gives you a warm welcome and a big hug which you never forget.

They couldn't have done more but at the same time kept everything relaxed and easy going - which is what I wanted. Incredible pictures from the gardens and steps. The new bar inside is really cool too. Cosy in the winter but Summer days at the haven are unbeatable!

The location looking out to sea, and the character of the venue itself were second to none. Even on a beautiful autumn day in November.
The list of local suppliers included in the Haven's wedding brochure allowed us to plan our Wedding with ease. The Haven's Ballroom for our ceremony was breath taking, and the reception in the Marquee with its views out across to the Hook Peninsula, simply stunning. The food served on the day was wonderful, and we must give special mention to the roast Rib of beef and the locally caught Hake.
The floral arrangements in the hotel on the day of our ceremony were just beautiful, taking into account the season (autumnal theme). The room layout and décor with added to our wonderful stay. We must also mention Judy who played an integral part on the day and helped us with our guest room allocations.
Karen is a wedding planner like no other, choreographing the days proceedings with ease. Helping the day move along seamlessly and without stress. Taking care of all the big, and little details that added so much to the day.
In conclusion, if you are looking for a wedding venue in the south east, The Haven Hotel is the one for you. We cannot recommend it highly enough.

D. C.My partner and I stayed at the Haven Hotel along with two friends of ours. We prefer the small boutique style hotels as they always tend to be friendlier, cosier, and feel more like a home from home, and the Haven Hotel was exactly that. The Hotel is a vintage hotel (with fresh and modern bathrooms) and it’s very well maintained throughout. Over our two night stay, we had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, all of which we really enjoyed. The grounds are really nice, especially the large outdoor terrace where there are plenty of picnic tables at which to sit and have food and a few drinks. Our room was unfortunately not great and that tainted our weekend away a bit. Our issues were that our room was directly off the landing of the main stairs to reception which meant that when the reception was busy, we could hear it from our room. Our en-suite looked out over the dumpsters which was the cause of even more noise when the bar staff tipped empty bottles into them at the end of the night. Our room was tiny and our friends’ room was at the very least twice the size of ours with it’s own hallway and yet only €3.50 per night in the difference. We brought up our issues with the receptionist as I think it’s only fair to give them the feedback first. We sorted everything out but there was no apology on behalf of the hotel. The servers at the hotel deserve a special mention as they are the most courteous, attentive, professional, friendly (I could go on) group at the hotel and they really added to our lovely stay. Although we probably wont be back to stay at the Haven Hotel ourselves we would recommend it (as along as you don’t end up in room 9) and we have recommended it to friends’ families and I know one family has already booked in!

Location & view from the courtyard area was fantastic, lots of benches was greeted & seated straight away while very busy & the food was top notch. Prawn salad 10/10 & the pints of Guinness 10/10. Staff really helpful & a credit to the haven as they had many staff out on the floor so no waiting. Will be back.

Karen, the wedding coordinator set up the marquee so beautifully and the dining area for our meal was so pretty. Flowers were amazing, all the decor. We were waited on hand and foot.
It was like a holiday to a sunny foreign country.

The Irish prime rib dinner was sensational, I highly recommend. The rooms are very clean and makes you feel like you are back a 100 years ago, only with all the modern amenities.

But rooms not suitable for families of more than 3 and this was not explained to us on booking, whe. We said we were a family of 5.
The chez long was pass off to us as a bed for our 9 year old daughter, she wouldnt fit on it as it was tiny. But we were charged for their stay, even though 2 of the kids had no bed. More information when booking would have helped.
The location, setting, food, atmosphere and staff were all wonderful and the rooms were beautiful for a couple on a romantic get away.
I will return minus the kids.

G. C.We were here for a wedding last year and it truly was a beautiful location. With a reception of about max 50 people you can have a amazing time here with ceramony, reception and food all catered on the one place.
Keep your fingers crossed for good weather as this place relys heavily on outdoor space for parts of the wedding. Parking was a bit of an issue for us too as the Hotel was full. We found some street parking that was 3 minutes from the hotel.
Overall great day with photography happening all locally by the sea and forest.

G. G.Improvements made to the outside area of the hotel are much needed and well done to management. A large patio area that is much easier to walk on as against the gravel stones that were there. A large marquis which is I would imagine used for functions is a great addition. I would suggest adding smaller tables and chairs for people who may not be able to use the existing seating.
The interior has been painted which makes such a difference fantastic.
Finally, I would urge management to consider stocking cakes, scones, buns, biscuits or a range of snacks for those tea/ coffee drinkers of which there are many.There is now a coffee/ tea culture in all parts of Ireland. Let's face we all like a little something with our morning/ afternoon tea/ coffee.

B.My sister had her wedding celebration at the Haven Hotel several years ago she was absolutely thrilled the way it went so the obvious place for us when we had our celebration on 16 march 2018 was the Haven Hotel.I know Dunmore East well and it's a beautiful village but What made the day so special was the Haven Hotel,the Kellys and their staff they just couldn't do enough for us .We currently live in London so relied on them quite a bit and the did us proud, from the accommodation, the champagne receiption, to the meal,organising a child minder ,the band and lots of small details which made it such a memorable day.I think their claiming Ireland winning the grand slam the following day too, mmmm. 4 months later our guests are still talking about it.
