Upscale Michelin guide restaurant in Westport but with surprisingly decent prices for a very attractive menu. They have an upstairs and downstairs seating area. Downstairs was more lively and bright. Upstairs tends to be very quiet and feels like dining in a friends apartment - quiet and homely. Choose accordingly. We were seated upstairs but had no choice. We enjoyed it nonetheless. We had a toasted foie gras with put lentils for starter, the monkfish for the first main, an elaborate scallops and black pudding dish for the second main. Both had veggies for sides and roast potatoes. All dishes were excellent and well cooked. There were plenty of other seafood on the menu. Dessert - Baileys bread pudding was simple but nice. The service was exceptional but not personable. Staff are extremely well trained! Overall extremely good value and highly recommended !

We had a red Chateau. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The reason for only 4 stars is the menu was a little bit limited, just a few more options would of been nice. We had an old woman with us and she found the menu a bit difficult. I'm only being a bit critical to an amazing meal. I for sure will return when ever in Westport.

It’s rare to find a restaurant that offers a combination of great quality food and exceptional service. This restaurant is unique because it provides both! We had the seafood tasting menu which was exceptional. The waiter Stephan was very good. He’s personable and attentive. Stephan even wrote down a list of other good restaurants in Ireland for us to visit. We even met the chef and had a wonderful chat with him. I highly recommend going here. It’s an incredible experience.

An absolute must when in westport. The best quality food is an understatement. Absolutely top class cannot fault it in any way. We went on a Monday evening.. Thankfully we had booked on the previous day as the restaurant was completely booked out and they were turning away many people who just turned up on the night. They staff are very pleasant and welcoming. The restaurant itself is small but beautifully decorated. The good was very good. We had lamb terrine and crab salad for starters. The main courses were the star of the show. Fresh brill and Sea trout. It is rare enough to see these on a menu and they were both very well cooked. Absolutely recommend this restaurant if you visit Westport.

Wonderful! Our taxi driver suggested a visit while we were on a brief holiday and we struck lucky as we hadn't booked but managed to get a table. What amazing food and wonderful service - attentive but not intrusive. And he actually suggested a wine which was cheaper than the one I'd requested as he felt it would complement the food better. It was a great choice and we'll definitely be back.

I took my better half here last night as a birthday celebration. I picked it based on the fact that we both consider ourselves to be foodies and love sampling London's fantastic&diverse food scene. There's lots of good places to eat in Westport but this was the first place I came across where there was a chef's tasting menu. I emailed the restaurant, who were very quick to respond, on the day of the booking. From start to finish, the tasting menu was an absolute delightful surprise. We had Dublin Bay prawns with (Kelly's of Newport) sausage for starter. Next we had beautifully cooked Ox cheek, potato and butternut puree. After this, we had a succulent piece of hake with a celeriac puree and new potatoes (cooked in garlic and butter). We then had a piece of delicious pork belly which was cooked in a maple marinade. On a personal note, I'm not a huge maple syrup fan but it was still quite nice. The final dessert course was enough to fill us to brim (sticky toffee pudding and a piece of cheesecake) so were a good measure of rich and light. We, somewhat unusually for us, didn't have any wine (not due to the available selection) as we opted for some Hendricks gin instead. The staff provided a warm welcome, introduced each of the dishes and the chef even came to the table to make sure we were enjoying the food. They also gave us some homemade limoncello to finish. For the quality of the food, you just can't beat it for price on a special occasion. I'd have paid twice/three-times as much for it in London so I personally felt like it was a bargain!!! Thank you again to all the staff and the chef, Frankie!

We ate in this delightful little restaurant on Monday last. What a find , we had the most marvellous evening from first to last. First being a very warm welcome and last being the lovely touch of complimentary homemade limoncellos and petit fours. Little touches yet ......so nice . I had the best John Dory I have tasted and my companions waxed lyrical over their choices also. Thoroughly recommended. One big negative.....it's a bit far for us to drive from Dublin !!!

Obvious from the moment you arrive that this Restaurant is not your average local eaterie. Great atmosphere and ambiance in the Restaurant, wasn't a large restaurant but it was extremely busy, glad we had booked as there was no way we would have been seated if we hadn't, but even though they where busy we found no delay in service and staff still found time to check everything was Ok after serving each course. Prices are very reasonable for quality of food and standard of service, can't wait to return.

We avoided the main courses because we took the soup plus 3 starters of fish or cheese to share in two. Dishes not abundant (they were appetizers, but also the main courses on other tables did not overflow) but well-kept and tasty, excellent roasted salmon with honey. I took craft beer (expensive wine) then two objectively exceptional desserts, inevitable. 35 euros / person. If you want to spend 40-45 euros excluding drinks, this is a really good place! Menu consultabile sul sito. Noi abbiamo evitato le portate principali perché abbiamo preso la zuppa più 3 antipasti di pesce o formaggio da condividere in due. Piatti non abbondanti (erano antipasti, ma anche i secondi su altri tavoli non traboccavano) ma curati e gustosi, ottimo il salmone arrosto al miele. Preso birra artigianale (vino caro) poi due dessert oggettivamente eccezionali, immancabili. 35 euro/persona. Se si ha voglia di spendere 40-45 euro bevande escluse, questo è davvero un buon posto!
