It was a quiet Sunday evening.
J. W.Very accommodating. Me and my partner arrived late and they still gave us a table. Lovely friendly staff. Excellent menu with wide variety. Chowder was delicious and definitely the nicest I've had. My partner got the lamb and again had nothing but praise. Would highly recommend and is reasonably priced also, definitely be back🙂

P. S.Great restaurant, open late, with friendly staff and exquisite decor! You feel like time has set you back into an early 20th century inn. The food is delicious, we had the burgers, but in fairness you probably should go for the steak or seafood, just by the looks of what we saw others having. We had the crab claws for starters (yes, with burgers; blasphemy, we know) and they were outstanding!!!

Y. P.I booked the room upstairs for a group in Westport last weekend. We ate off a set menu that had a great variety of choices. The staff were very attentive and the food was tasty. We had a couple of people in the group with special dietary requirements and the chef was very accommodating in changing dishes around to meet their needs. We all went home very full and satisfied.

A. H.Visited JJ O'Malleys twice this week during our staycation in Westport. The food, the service and the atmosphere are fantastic. The sirloin steaks are the best I ever had. Definitely a "must go again" place
D. B.10/10 would recommend to a friend. Staff were brilliant and food was absolutely divine. I got the chicken Philadelphia and it was incredibly flavourful. Got the baileys cheesecake for dessert. Music set a really nice atmosphere also. As far as I'm aware all their sauces are gluten free so many of the dishes can be amended for coeliacs. We got lucky that we arrived in and got the last available walk in table. Reservations would be recommended as a lot of people had to be turned away while we were eating. Great location too if going out after close to a lot of great pubs

M. B.I enjoyed my meal but my wife was not as fortunate. Place was nice and cosy, staff friendly and attentive. Wine list was also balanced. The filo prawns were very poor and under cooked and burger only OK. In fairness they did not charge for the prawns.

Yes that is high praise, I love good food and can be extremely picky when it comes to food, flavor and service. But everything from start to finish was wonderful! The Golden brie was great with the cranberry, the ribs and rack of lamb seasoned and cooked perfectly, the mash had wonderful flavor....(it has been bland in many places), even the vegetables were well seasoned! S. K.On weekends you should get a reservation before going there. We were asked kind of harshly for a reservation and were lucky getting a table without any. The taste of the food was good, but the serving were quite small referring to their price. The pepper burger I ordered was just the meat patty (which was very good) on a plain burger bun. So I used my side salad to garnish my burger. Instead of a main course my girlfriend ordered a seafood chowder from the starters menu which was tasty and had a good serving size even as a main dish.
Unfortunately the staff seemed to be in a hurry. I ordered some ketchup for my chips which got lost somehow.
M. M.Decent food. Nice setting. Starter and main courses were excellent. I have one complaint, this is with a lot of restaurant's! For desert I had creme brulee. This was stored in a fridge for a while. You can taste the fridge off of it. It was tainted. Absolutely hate that with a passion!!! Staff were perfect. Quick service. Would eat there again but avoid desert!

O. M.Warm welcoming and delicious food. The seafood chowder here is very thick compared to other ones we found elsewhere, it's very good. Large portions. We ate upstairs while downstairs there was a music session.
