S.I'm not a big breakfast person but the food was BEYOND AMAZING. We got the hash and eggs benni (Benedict); both had a unique twist, with beautiful flavors. I'm glad the other places were closed (this was the only thing found open at 930a) because I thought this was just a simple cafe. They are way beyond any expectations you could have for a breakfast place. (Brunch served all day.)
s. m.Such a nice place to stop for brunch on a recent trip. Staff were incredibly friendly, the queue (while big!) moved fast and once seated we were served efficiently but were not rushed at all. Food was fresh and tasty and served beautifully. We will be back on our next trip!

S. C.Popped in here last weekend for a takeaway lunch as they were fully booked. There was a slight mix up with the order which contained a vegan Buddha bowl but when I called they were so apologetic and replaced it straight away. They also offered free coffees. The Buddha bowl was absolutely gorgeous! Highly recommend it.

Excellent cakes (although I didn't see so many "healthy alternative cakes") and also vegetarian options for breakfast and lunch. Very good rosemary/thyme chips (I had it as a side.) Interior with plenty of wood.
There are also tables outside. Was queue to get in both times I was there. Very satisfied.

J. M.Nice place, nice setting . Staff young and pleasant, I notice everywhere prices are going up n up . Enjoyed a nice roll . However I thought exorbitant 4 euro for two slices toast . . Had the pancakes , a dispointment . They should be mouth watering and melt in the mouth food but they were dry and some stewed fruit, not sure if fresh or frozen packet , no cream side dish which might have helped the dryness . I do not believe they were freshly cooked as not warm but I could be wrong . All In all a nice place for coffee and food. Just a bit disappointed with some issues
H. N.Good place for a quick takeaway lunch/early dinner. Loved their coffee as well. Earlier on saw people dining outdoors, the place can get packed easily as spaces are limited so early booking is advised. Following COVID precautions. Plenty selections of tea cakes and desserts as well. Really loved my chicken wrap, tasty, well made, generous filling as it was a large portion. Another highlight was their small collection of chocolates, hot choco /coffee choc dipsticks as well as their hot sauce. Loved the one i got, one of the best hot sauce ever, jalapeño and its locally made. Also got the salted caramel brownie which was awesome.

K. K.We had lunch here while on holidays in the west. One of the best cafe's I've been to. The food was fantastic and there is lots of it, you won't leave hungry. We had the Buddha Bowl and the Potato Hash and they were amazing. We'll be back for lunch again any time we're in westport. They have some local beers on the menu too and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable on the dishes and beers on the menu. Highly recommend to anyone looking for brunch or lunch around westport.

A. R.Had dinner here a couple of Saturday's ago, I believe they had only started dinner a few weeks weeks previous (not 100% on that, told by someone else who worked in the area). We arrived at 7.15pm with no reservation and were told they were fully booked.
I kind of blagged our way in and told the gent on the door we'd be in and out in an hour, and he told me that a booking was 15 mins late and we could have their table and to be gone by 9 and that he had an option to look after the late comers if they arrived.
We had the crab salad to share between us, plenty of crab and a tangy dressing. For mains we both had the fish and chips, great batter, beautiful hake and home made tartare sauce that was nice and sharp. For afters we split a lemon meringue pie, which had been eyed up on our arrival.
During the evening we were told to relax and take our time as 4 bookings for 2 were a no show. The service was really efficient and I never had to ask for any item, it was all offered. I felt really relaxed as there was plenty of space around us and evryone taking Covid precautions, all the staff were really friendly and there was a nice buzz in the restaurant.
Thanks to all. NB. If you are booking a restaurant, I really hope you have the courtesy and good manners to follow through on your reservation or cancel in a timely manner. We need all these businesses to survive and thrive after Covid

R. E.We must have got them on a bad weekend, because it always seems busy - which is normally a good sign! In the main, we found the food a bit bland. Seafood chowder tasted ok, but smelled really strange/off (they didn't charge for it and said the smell was due to some of the ingredients, which aren't used in most versions!!!). Potato hash is not a hash as we know it, but a warm potato salad, which lacked taste. Sausage roll looks great, but wasn't to our taste. On the up side, the staff were friendly, the chips were good, the cake was delicious and the service was prompt (although, on our first visit they gave our food to another table and second time there, they gave us the breakfast menu, only to replace it with the lunch menu after we'd chosen - it was before noon, which I suspect is the time the menu turns to lunch - so annoying!).

F. F. W.Pretty, bright very welcoming restaurant in a lovely location on the quay in Westport. Being rather hungry at 4.30 pm I decided to have the quiche and salad which was delicious. The other specials included Chowder, Trout, BLT Wraps. I resisted the selection of desserts which were very tempting and included home made apple pie, a gorgeous chocolate and raspberry cake, cheese cake, meringues etc. Staff were really pleasant and I would definitely return to The Creel. 10 out of 10
P. M.I Was in westport last weekend with a group of 6 in an airbnb in the town. We had arranged in advance for The Creel to cater and deliver food to the house on our first evening . What can I say, it was to die for... . beautiful food (starters, main course and dessert) . It was absolutely divine .. Very generous portions and prices were very reasonable. We had a great dinner party .. Without any of the hassle. The Creel were up for doing more or less anything we wanted .. The food was all top quality. Having the food delivered was a real bonus as we travelled by train from Dublin and thus had no car in Westport. I would highly recommend using The Creel for any catering requirements you may have when in Westport. Pearce and Aoife will look after you very well.

Noisy room (it was crowded) but cozy. Nice time in small, well-kept place. Ok coffee and croissant ok too. I saw some dishes that really wanted (like the spinach toast with poached eggs on the top) If I was more hungry I would have taken it without hesitation
