I was with 3 other friends at Kilmore Quay in Wexford 3 weeks ago and had lunch at Silver Fox Seafood restaurant. Everything is delicious especially their homemade brown bread, a mouth watering Oyster. Yum. I'd love to go back there in the near future.

Lovely welcome, great food- we had chowder/mussels to start, both had Monkfish and scallops , all very well Presented and delicious. Lovely restaurant. Would definitely recommend. First time there , greeted by a friendly man (Shane ) brought us to our seats .Make us feel very welcomed .We email ahead and ordered the sharing seafood platter . My fiancé and I enjoyed an evening out during the hottest week of the year and it was just beautiful. We had the tomato basil bisque (a special for the evening,) seafood chowder, crab claws, the monkfish/scallops, and a black sole special. Enjoyed a bottle of wine and desserts. The service was impeccable and the food was so fresh and delicious. Can’t wait to go back again soon. They’ve done a lovely job considering all the hurdles with Covid!

The Silver Fox is definitely in my top three for restaurants in Ireland. By far the best in Wexford. The food is amazing and it can not be faulted in any way. The staff were really nice. It was my dad’s birthday and one of the servers gave us a bottle of delicious honey and mustard vinegar. The tables were very well spread out in regards to COVID-19. I would recommend this brilliant restaurant to anyone.

We arrived in the late afternoon (around 3pm) on a bank holiday, after a nice walk on the beach and dunes, they received us no problem. Wide choice of meat and fish-based dishes. We both went for the special of the day (hake and fried shrimps on a creamy garlic and mushroom sauce, side vegetables and mash) and it was delicious! Really fresh fish, perfectly cooked, very soft and tasty. Good portions too. The place is cosy, elegant and quiet, other families were enjoying the lunch. All very relaxing and pleasant. Probably a bit more expensive than other restaurants, but worthwhile.

Friendly and efficient service. Broad seafood menu. You can order the chowder two different ways; in a bowl or in a hollowed out bread loaf. I chose the bowl with bread on the side, amazing, thick with lots of chunkie seafood...tasted so good. Really enjoyed it.

I ordered the monkfish and scallops as a main and had sorbet for dessert. It was absolutely beautiful. I was allergic to the sauce so they created a white wine sauce instead. It was a tad heavy. Overall it was a beautiful restaurant and the early bird menu was such great value. The only thing I would say is the place was WAYYY too quiet. It needed some background music for sure!

Lovely meal last night. There was 5 adults and 2 kids. Very friendly staff. Grady selection. Chowder came in a big bread roll. Choice given for this. Haddock, chicken, and salmon dishes were lovely. If you’re in this area I would highly recommend stopping here for a meal. All fresh produce and locally sourced where possible. The food tastes exceptionally good with beautiful presentation. The meal at Silwer Fox was the best we ever had. Started with the oysters, the freshest, could taste the sea. Then we went for the seafood platter for 2. Not enough words to describe how delicious this was!! You have to go and experiences it !!! The plate was packed and big enough for 3 people. Then a lovely surprise with the desert, Cathy got a birthday plate and candle, never expected this We never mentioned it the night, must have been from the first booking. That's what I call customer services, Great seafood, atmosphere and service. Staff very good and friendly !! Will be there again and again.

Lovely seafood restaurant in a beautiful costal village. I was in the locality of Kilmore in October 2018, and having enjoyed a lunch in the SIlve Fox so much I came back for dinner the next evening. The restaurant is cozy and nicely decorated, located in the little seaside town of Kilmore Quay. Though it looks small from the outside, it has a double the amount of space on the inside, and can comfortable accommodate parties (on my second was part of a party of nine). Despite being primarily a seafood restaurant, they cater very well for vegetarians like myself, and they also cater for Halal and other dietary requirements, no problems at all. You may say a vegetarian has no business eating in a seafood restaurant, but you’d be wrong on this occasion; the vegetarian options were delicious, I really enjoyed all my starters, main courses and especially deserts in this restaurant, on both visits.
