Our experience at The Forge was very enjoyable.
Gorgeous Italian style family run restaurant with the most delicious food I have ever tasted.
The service was excellent and the staff were so friendly and attentive, they made us feel very welcome an appreciated.
I had a lovely chat with Lucy before we left, a truly amazing lady.
Well done guys, you are one of a kind.

D.I’d eat here every day if i could! The service is lovely and the food is absolutely beautiful! I tried everything from sea food dishes to pizza and pasta. Desserts are amazing too! The sauces and flavours are to die for, it’s authentic Italian. Previous review is a lot of bull....! The flavours are heavenly so I’d recommend the man to go to an Indian restaurant next time to look for some “real kick or spice”.. and also the choice is FAR from “very limited”!!!
A. D.Went here twice during our stay in Wexford. Lovely selection of pizzas, pasta and steak in a family friendly environment. The food is simple but very well prepared and tasty - I would highly recommend the spinach gnocchi or the steak on bed of rocket. Tiramisu was gorgeous for dessert too.

For all those Italians missing their food, a visit to this place would be definitely worth it.
I ate mussels as starter and bit the chilli pepper by mistake and that was hot!🤭 Then I had hake special as main course, absolutely beautiful! Hake on a bed of spinach cream, simply fantastic!

I. U.Restaurant beautiful, I'm Italian and I recognize those who can cook (my mom was a cook). I come punctually to this restaurant, excellent quality, I can say that as you eat here you do not eat anywhere. They often renew the menu, they also added spaghetti garlic oil and hot pepper my favorite dish! They won the title of best cooking in the whole county of Wexford! It really deserves a lot! Well done! 5 stars!!!
G. K. B.I visited this restaurant today, St. Patrick's Day for my niece's 21st. I have been before as I live 2 minutes from there. The service at the beginning was very slow. We got our meals but one of the diners asked for no mushrooms and there was mushrooms when she got the dish. The Italian waitress argued with me that we never asked for no mushrooms and I said that we had. She was quite rude, and was waving her finger at me which was disgraceful. I said nothing at the time as I had guests with me whom I didn't want to embarrass. However the food was delicious, everyone enjoyed it but the waitress would turn me off returning.

D. H.I've eaten here twice now over the past few weeks. Run by a Sicilian family so you know it's authentic. Slightly off the beaten track being about 5 km outside wexford town, but it's worth the trip. Good pizza - I'll try some other dishes next time!

I had Sunday lunch special breaded haddock fried crisp to perfection G. had a chicken dish & J. had salmon with the most delicious creamed parsley sauce. The portions were more than generous. With a lovely "Bon Appitito" we enjoyed our meal. Their own chilled Tiramisu was perfection!
We noticed the sparkling glasses they must be handpolished, the decor was calming and so Italian in style.
We complimented the chefs leaving & were invited to sample their lasagne it was DIVINE.... cant wait for our next visit!
Outside theres a lovely relaxing decked area.
Would highly recommend if you like authentic Italian food served by lovely friendly Italian staff. What a treasure!

T. M.Staying in Wexford on a Tuesday in June, my wife and I fancied some Italian food. We did the usual Google and trip advisor search which both shared the same number one result. Only problem was, when we got there it no longer existed and the restaurant in its place is closed on Tuesdays, as are a lot of places in Wexford town apparently. So I searched again and found The Forge in Castlebridge, I didn't hold out much hope but with an over tired toddler in tow we had little choice. Man was I wrong. Yes it was quiet but the food was divine, I had my standard gambas starter and it was in a fantastic tomato sauce with just the right amount of kick and my main was the special of black spaghetti with seafood. So so tasty and packed with seafood. We will definitely be back.
