Once again Fergal and Jodie are making the customers happy with both delicious and top quality dishes and smiling and welcoming staff! The renovations to the building are fantastic and it still retains the relaxed atmosphere. Always enjoy our visits and will continue in the future. Onwards and up for this pair. My favourite dining experience on a recent visit to Co. Wexford. Food was excellent - all 4 of us had fish - served by competent waiting staff. Due to Covid, we were told that we would have to leave an hour & a half after arrival at 8.00 & we booked a taxi around this. My only complaint would be that there was no way that this was going to happen because our starters didn't arrive until 8.30. No problem with this ordinarily...& luckily we had allowed extra time for taxi!! I will definitely return.. Lovely airy restaurant with great buzz.

Was here for Dinner in September 2021 and was so pleased to see that the standard or service and quality of food is still amazing. We all had different starters and mains but every serving was excellent. Photo was taken on Rosslare Strand next morning walking of some of the calories from the night before 😋

One of the best Seafood restraunts I have been to. Very nice staff and gorgeous food. You can straight away feel the freshness of the sea food. Very busy so I will recommend you take reservations to avoid disappointment. No dedicated parking spaces,but you can always park at the driveway or use the strand car park.

We enjoyed a lovely meal here. All CoViD measures were followed which made us feel very comfortable at the restaurant. The food and wine were delicious - we had the plaice and COD and yummy pavlova for dessert. We had the early bird menu and it was so reasonably priced. The staff were so friendly and attentive as was the lovely owner. A very enjoyable evening, thank you 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

There’s a famous seafood restaurant in Galway called Moran’s on the Weir - the food there is exquisite and nothing compares to it !!! Well, until now. Visited this restaurant on Monday and were greeted by friendly staff members who took our temperature before we were even allowed in - good to see. The restaurant is very spacious and clean. The menu changes every day, so the only disappointing thing was that the crab claws hadn’t been delivered, but not much the restaurant can do about that. We have three children and trying to find a restaurant that suits them all is painful at the best of times - but not here. The owner and head chef came out to chat and explained about the dishes and what was or wasn’t available (we went at 5pm so he had time - I would t expect to see him on a Fri or Sat evening). He even created a special dish for my daughter of scallops, prawns and cod cake (delicious). I had the John Dory, and my wife the Monkfish with mussels and both dishes were divine. Even the pan fried chicken, which my son had, was one of the best I’ve ever tasted - and the chef even made a special sauce for him as the one on the menu had tomatoes which he doesn’t like. Very accommodating. The main dishes are priced on the high side, but you come out feeling you’ve got value for money as the portions are decent, the food exquisite and even the sides were delicious. Well worth visiting with (or without) the family and my own are asking when they can go back - that a great sign. Well done to all the staff.

I had a meal last there last night with my family. The meal was outstanding. It was a lovely Menu and I wanted everything on it!! I had fresh crab to start, the portion was very generous, the flavour was incredible as the crab meat was so fresh. I had scallop and prawns with a white wine cream sauce for main course - the scallops were absolutely delicious and plenty on the plate, gorgeous. The staff were extremely friendly attentive, very professional and 100 COVID-19 compliant. If you are a seafood lover, this is the restaurant to go fo for. They do also have other non seafood items on the menu so it’s caters for everyone too . I will definitely be back

We ate in Wilde and Native for the first time on Wednesday and were blown way by the meal and service. From the minute we entered the staff were welcoming and helpful. The food was superb, we had mussels and prawn cocktail to start followed by John Dory and Turbot, all of it was amazing but the mussels and Turbot were spectacular. The turbot had landed just before we arrived! This was the type of meal you keep thinking about afterwards and wondering when i can get to go there again. Thanks guys and see you again soon

We booked a table for 2 adults and 2 children. I was delighted with the children's menu as it was not just the usual chips and nuggets. My daughter ordered scallops and prawns and my son ordered prawns with pasta and a tomato sauce. A waitress who was very plesent in fairness told us she was out of scallops for my daughter's dish. She arrive with just prawns which was fine but that was it. My daughter's main course was 8 prawns on a plate with a sauce. Nothing more. She was still hungry and the veg/sides for the table was one bowl of veg and one bowl of potatoes (6 baby potatoes) between 4 of us. On asking the waitress if my daughters dish came with anything else she said no. I had to order another bowl of potatoes to try make a dinner out of it. When we got our bill they charged us €16:95 for 8 prawns. Very disappointed with this. On questioning same I was told that extra prawns were given and full price was being charged. This is a pity, food was of good quality but definately not return Elaine

What a fabulous meal we had! Lovely fresh crab claws and crabmeat salad cocktail to start. We both went for the surf & turf. Rare to medium. Fantastic taste and portions. We probably could have shared one between us, but where's the decedent pleasure in that?! Great chatting to Chef/owner Fergal afterwards about local produce, foraging, being an eco friendly establishment and local interests. Would go back in an instance if we're ever in the area, SUPERB!

if you want to go to eat in a friendly welcoming place that has amazing sea food then look no further than Wild and Native. From the time we entered to leaving the staff were so nice nothing was too much trouble.. And the food wow we had the lobster it was amazing I've had lobster before and it was chewy but not here it was cooked too perfection. I could go on and on about this place but I won't all I'll say is that you must go and experience it for your self

This is a gem of a discovery. Went for the early bird menu. Selection excellent and the meal was very good value. The staff are friendly, helpful and chatty without being any way intrusive. I had the crab claw and mussel velouté which was absolutely delicious...a real gourmet dish. My companion had the warmed goat's cheese salad, which was caramelised and again absolutely delicious. The pomegranate seeds added beautifully to the flavour of the salad and dressing. We both ordered the hake but only one portion was left as the demand for this dish was so great. I ordered the monkfish instead. Both pieces of fish were beautifully cooked and served piping hot in an appropriate dressing, the monkfish was beautifully firm while the hake was melt in the mouth. Both were served with delicious mixed vegetable of carrot, turnip, snap peas, red cabbage and broccoli. All of these were served al dente and roasting hot and their freshness was bursting through. I normally only like turnip mashed but the small cubes were a bright yellow and full of flavour. This was finished with baby new potatoes. There was no need for a desert after this, but the selection on offer was as impressive as the two courses we enjoyed. This was probably one of the best fish meal's I have had in years. I can only highly recommend it to anyone who finds themselves in Rosslare Strand.

Really great seafood. Chef does an excellent job on meats too. Interesting wine menu. Great service. We had a small wedding party there recently. The manager and head chef were so helpful with everything from suggestions for the kids menu to offering to serve wild seafood as part of the apéritif. They even organised a playlist for the music. I highly recommend this restaurant for private parties....

Food and atmosphere is always great. Fish is generally fresh, simply prepared. Children's meals are generally smaller portions of the adult meals so not processed food. Fish and chips will be the hake and fresh cut once cooked chips.
