F. A.Surprisingly delicious food. Highly recommend the portobello tacos and the mushroom soup. They'll tell you the sundae only serves one but don't be deceived, it's plenty to share among thee or four.

The outside seating is covered but plenty of air circulating. There are patio heaters to keeps us warm. The food is yummy too. A very good place to we eat and have a few drinks.

s. 1.We had lunch /dinner here today and I have to say it was absolutely georgous. We were looked after by Anto and he was such a lovely guy. Would highly recommend this place to dine. Service is fantastic and very quick and efficient. Very clean place as well. Kids loved their milkshakes as well ⛄🎄

Staff are professional and welcoming, food is top notch and the live music tops off the experience of a place you want to come back to again and again. Whether you're out with the family, friends or significant other this place seems to hit the spot. I've enjoyed both the open plan bar area and the nicley tucked away snugs where you feel like you have your own private room. Loved the menu and quality of the food on both visits. If you haven't tried the boneless chicken wings on the new menu you haven't lived. I'll be back for many more.

A. W.Brilliant dining experience. For me, the service here is the epitome of Irish charm and friendliness. The waiter was great, answered all questions about the food on the menu and made great recommendations for drinks. The atmosphere was lovely and the decor added to the unique feel to the venue. This is the first pub I have been to where there is a selection of board games for patrons to play... This added to the feeling that we were not just a source of revenue, they want you to stay and enjoy yourself in the space they've created. The food was great, and served hot and the drink selection was just as good as the food. My first ever visit to Ireland and I can honestly say I was not disappointed by visiting this local establishment. If and when I come again, I will definitely visit here.

S. E.After walking around Glendalough we decided to have a bite near the sea, so we drove to Wicklow harbour. The Brass Fox was the first pub we saw as we arrived at the harbour and we gave it a go. After Covid vaccination cert scan we could go inside. Masks were mandatory.
Had fish and chips and something to drink. The food was excellent. The chips the best we ever had. It was lunchtime but very quiet.
Quick and friendly service. All in all, we left satisfied.

V.The interior is stylish enough with a lot of room, lovely seating out the front. During the day I wouldn't recommend sitting at the front as you can hear the bathrooms. The place is vibrant and full of life (and kids during the day) so not great if you are looking for a relaxed older atmosphere, if you have a family or a large group definitely worth a pop in though. The service was a bit slow ad not too friendly but really not a big deal. After reading the owners responses on here I was really put off though, they keep claiming ever bad rating is fake news or a troll. They have a nice spot but that is no way to take on criticism from over 10+ different reviewers

O. G.We randomly stopped here on our way down the coast from Dublin based on the exterior appearance. Very glad to have stopped; the two staff running the place were incredibly attentive and friendly, and the food was really excellent for what is basically a traditional pub. Got a (nearly) perfect pint of Guinness, too. The space is decorated with assorted antiques, and there's a large faux-door leading to toilets. Great option in Black Castle.
E. T.I have found the Brass Fox to be hit & miss. I've had some lovely meals here but I've also had some disappointing meals too. I'm sorry to say the carbonara was bland & the falafel burger was dry and tasteless. They could do much better! The chicken wings on the other hand were delicious. I'm not giving up on them just yet. I'll be back again as I like the atmosphere and they are located in a lovely spot.

The food at the Fox was very good. My friend had a bowl of soup and we split a burger and chips. This was one of the best burger I’ve ever eaten. Thick and savory on a tasty roll. I also had their ‘Curious Jackalope’ gin cocktail, it was curious and delicious. We fell in on a Sunday afternoon and it was low key with mostly locals.

i. 1.I highly recommend going here. Today was our first time in a bar since Covid 19 started and we really enjoyed the Brass Fox. The food was beautiful and the portion s size were perfect. The place was clean.The gentleman manager and staff were really friendly and always helpful. I do rate a place on the food but I also think staff training is so important and needed for young waitering staff of today, most of whom avoid eye contact and your table Incase they had to clear it ,never mind checking if your meal is ok ,all due to no training. But the Brass Fox's staff were on the ball👍 they really were so helpful and friendly and knew how to treat the customer. We will definitely b returning to the brass fox 🦊😀. Oh and not to 4get the cocktails absolutely beautiful🍸🍹🍹🍸👌.

Couldn't fault the food or the friendly efficient service. Its great to see a local business adapting and providing much needed employment to the local community.

M.The food was delicious. Would have given 5 stars only our table was dirty so asked for it to be cleaned. It was cleaned only where the dirt was🙄 We felt uncomfortable so cleaned it ourselves. Spent €90 (upfront) asked for an extra garlic dip (1 tiny one came with pizza that we had already paid for) & when it arrived was asked for another €1.20. We thought it was a joke but no it was true. M. D.I was excited to come here. Wicklow is crying out for some good food venues. Came for Father's day with the family. They accommodated my milk allergy with some substitutions which was nice. The food wasn't bad. My salad didn't come with salad dressing and had a very strange addition of raw aubergine and raw courgette. I love aubergine but if it were roasted perhaps? The husbands falafel was disappointing with a dry bun (wasn't 'Beetroot' bun as menu said) with a piece of lettuce and a thin tomato slice. It wouldn't take much to try harder and maybe a sauce to go with it?
The staff were friendly and the place looks great after the recent refurbishment. I'd come again but would really hope the small details might be addressed it wouldn't take much to make it amazing.

M.Visited the brass fox last weekend for a bite to eat after a walk. Staff were really lovely but food was only ok. My dad got nachos and and they came with very little of the chilli beef on top. I got brie, which was nice, and the foxy fries which weren't great- 3.50 for a small portion of skinny oven chips with a bit of dusting on top. Would expect better food for the price.

E. M.I went with my partner to the Brass Fox yesterday. It was nice and casual and there was a good atmosphere. I'd really been looking forward for a while to go there and unfortunately was quite disappointed. I hated that my falafel burger was served on an 'old' wooden board, that really put me off but the beetroot bun was awful. It seems like it was just a regular burger bun that had been coloured with purple food colouring. The chunky chips were very good though. My partner was happy with his lemon prawns and chips but the salad was not good - a tossed salad shouldn't have corn in it. Sorry for bad review but I really was so disappointed.

The staff are super friendly, the decor is exquisite (the owner travels to find period pieces to make the place like a museum) and their menu is extensive but everything we tried was delish. They're very accommodating for groups/parties and they've many alcoves and rooms to have places to yourself. We're back this month for christening afters as they have a brilliant deal for catering to groups so look forward to that and all the times in between!

S. R.OK - Really lacks atmosphere as the way the bar/seating is set up is weird - food is fairly average pub grub but big portions . Staff are cool though and try to make everyone feel very welcome.

Have to say, it had to be by far the best carvery meal I've ever eaten - and trust me, there's been many!
The beef is to die for! Very succulent and not at all dry. Would definately recommend it! And because I was so impressed by their carvery, I made it a point to come back a few days later and try the A La Carte Menu, and again, I wasn't disappointed!
I ordered the wings to start and the fillet steak medallions while my husband ordered the cheesy garlic bread to start and the large portion of wings for his main course, and needless to say, both our plates were left empty because the foos was so good - I mean, we were only short of licking the plates we were that happy with the meal!
On this day, they had just launched their cocktails, so obviously i decided to try out a cocktail or two!
I ordered the strawberry daiquiri - it arrived in a timely manner, and tasted so refreshing!
My husband decided to try out one of the craft beers. I think he went for the Elevation Pale Ale, and he couldn't fault it.
The only issue we noticed was the staff seemed to still be getting their heads around printing our bill which meant there was a delay in getting our bill, but that's to be expected given that this place has just openned, and not forgetting that technology can be a pain in the hole at the best of times.
So other than waiting a bit longer for our bill, The Brass Fox gets a huge thumbs up from me.
It's a great bar, with amazing food, and very friendly and helpful staff - something that Wicklow has been missing for so many years.
