R. C.I just completed the Associate Diploma in Speech and Drama with Mary. I was returning to Speech and Drama after years of not doing anything and Mary was fantastic. She far exceeded my expectations of support and expertise adapting the course work to me individually and working to my changing availability. She's a fantastic teacher who guided me through every step of the process, she has fantastic insight and really goes that extra mile for her students. Nothing is too much. I should add I did everything remotely. It's honestly thanks to Mary that I passed with results I am proud of. Could not recommend working with Mary more!!
a. l.Mary Whelan Fox is expert in her field, excellent to work with and makes everything so accessible. She will literally meet you where you are at on your pedagogical journey. I had a toddler and baby when I was studying with Mary. Her approach is gentle, kind, adaptable, flexible, and she created a safe space where as a group we had so much fun along the way. I loved my time studying under Mary expert eye and I could not recommend her highly enough to anyway.

and encourages all her students to achieve their full potential..She incorporates fun and games into her teaching programme which is great too. The Halloween recitals have been particulary memorable and entertaining.
J.Mary is simply the best at what she does, and I cannot praise her highly enough. She manages to make her classes fun, but they are learning and progressing all the time. Hard work and effort is required for exams and Feis, but it really does pay dividends, and the children can see that themselves. They respect her enormously too. In particular, she worked her magic on one of my household, who did not want to do primary school plays. He has developed a love for all things drama, taking to any stage with ease and confidence. Without a doubt what Mary teaches is a life skill. To see their confidence blossom is what it is all about. Thank you Mary!

She left no stone unturned and made sure I was well prepared for every aspect of the exam. I could not recommend Mary enough if you are thinking of completing the diploma in speech and drama. From being a shy low self esteem young girl with this company at the age of 12, to now a confident 17 year old speaker with excellent communication skills and drama with the great help of qualified teachers.
It has landed me so many opportunities through out my years with Mary Whelan Elocution and Speech and Drama. Such as receiving the lead role in the RTÉ Drama Festival, performing at Griffith College and being credited many awards and certificates with public speaking and Leinster School of Drama.
I most definitely recommend any child willing to attend these classes as you will become not only an eloquent speaker but be part of the Elocution Speech and Drama family. 🎭😊
S.I had been searching for the right place for my son to join speech and drama classes. I specifically was looking for elocution as a component of the class. I was fortunate to get a place in Mary Whelan Fox's class on a Saturday for my then 5 year old. He had a difficult start as he was reluctant to stay in class without me... But he was given nothing but care and encouragement to join in, which he did... Roll onto covid classes, and Mary and her team were fantastic.. The preparation and delivery of zoom classes were not easy, but my son was fully engaged, such was the effort made. He has been given the opportunity to present at a parents morning, involved in the turning on of the Christmas lights in athlone(even recording during covid to facilitate the drama schools involvement). This year was the 1st 'normal' year and he participate in writing his own poem competition and feis, along with examinations and workshops. He loves going to class each week and misses it when the holidays come! I just asked him what he likes about class and the response was 'everything'!
Highly recommend joining classes.
