I have, at this stage, taken a number of classes and workshops at the Schoolhouse for Art. I find the people friendly and helpful, booking is relatively simple, and the quality of the tutoring I have had is top notch. Enniskerry is a lovely little village too, there are nice coffee shops, lots of adjacent parking, and overall taking classes at the Schoolhouse is a very positive experience. Highly recommended.

This exhibition was a wonderful opportunity for me to showcase my artwork with other artists, have a chat, recieve help, learn, and, be part of the art community that is the Schoolhouse for Art in beautiful Enniskerry. Looking forward to the next Exhibition in Janurary.

I've just finished my first (I hope, of many) six-week pastel course with Dave West and I've had a wonderful time. As well as learning a lot of colour theory and technical aspects (all taught in little doses so we weren't in any way overwhelmed), I've started to become more adventurous. As a result, I'm beginning to move away from very naturalistic copying and I'm starting to make each painting my own (with a long way still to go!). If you love pastels, I would highly recommend signing up for Dave's next course!

An oasis of peace and creativity in what must be the most picturesque village in Ireland, the Schoolhouse for Art will keep drawing me back for more. It’s a little haven of calm in this crazy world!

I completed the 10 month cornerstone course at the school house. I’m a mature student in a fine art BA course and the cornerstone work complimented my practice in college very well. It was very helpful to revisit things like perspective and colour theory and I to learn new ways of seeing. There were several tutors over the 10 months and each brought something new and exciting to my practice. The overall tutor is Bairbre is so supportive and an excellent tutor and mentor. My fellow students were lovely and I look forward to staying in touch. The proprietors of the schoolhouse , Lana and Neil, and their staff couldn’t be more helpful and were always on hand should we need them. I would highly recommend this course. Helen

If like me you’ve been contemplating doing an art course at Schoolhouse for Art for years just go for it! I highly recommended Sinead Lawless’ pathway to painting course … Not only is Sinead and the school an incredibly inspiring, encouraging and supportive environment but I’ve learnt so much not only in how to paint with oils but also about myself. Thank you

Love SFA and admire what they're doing, but work needed on classes that are online/on location when the two are combined

I would highly recommend courses at Schoolhouse for Art, in the last year I have attended a weekend Nude Oil Painting workshop, the 10 week Path To Painting course and the 6 week Expressive Portraiture course and loved every single one of them. I have learned so much, the venue is wonderful and well set up and I'm already looking forward to being able to do another course. The two tutors I have had are Nicholas Benedict Robinson and Sinead Lawless and they are both exceptional.

This was my second class on oils with Sinead Lawless. Sinead is a very motivational tutor who provides a process on working with oils which is easy to follow and delivers good results. Everything works like clockwork with Schoolhouse for Art. Excellent communications both before and during the course, good facilities, local coffee shops (at least 3) and free parking.

A welcoming and super friendly atmosphere with fantastic teaching from Fergus Ryan. I can’t believe we learnt so much in one weekend! Well worth the travel from the UK.
