Beautiful relaxing block out the world peace Amazing Host, House Manager, Cook, Cleaner, Gardener, Catherine went beyond to ensure our stay was perfect for us. Lovely lady who is over work hope the owner appreciate all she does. Great little family home away from home. Little hard to find I would recommend to put in eircode on google maps to locate. Outside needs a lot of TLC big skip would get rid of it. Would recommend this getaway and look forward to returning some day 😀💯

My wedding was in September 2017. I got my alterations done from the bridal lodge and will give an honest review.
I arranged to meet Beth in a photographers store in Lucan(she was renting upstairs at the time) and arrived and no one was there. Tried calling and went to voicemail. Waited 15 mins and left. An hour later I got a call saying her car battery had died on the way up from Kildare and her phone was died - full of apologies. It sounded believable and I (naively) agreed to give her benefit of the doubt. She gave me a quote and offered to store my dress until I would get alterations the week before and I agreed Mistake as this continued all in the run up to my wedding. Messages went unanswered until I called.
We went to shop in Kilkea to have my sisters dresses fitted, they arranged a date to pick them up and guess what, no one was at home. My sisters waited for an hour and a half at Beth's house as she kept saying she was only '10' mins away every time my sisters rang. No text came to say she was running late. I was freaked at this time and asked my sister to get my dress but was told it was in the Dublin shop. I aired my concerns to Beth looking for reassurances. She told me not to worry that she would see me the following week @10 in Sarsfield road shop to do my alterations. 10Am came and she was not there, told me she thought it was 11am despite confirming only days earlier. It was a awkward atmosphere when I went in at first because I was so annoyed. The Sarsfield road shop was basically a building site. I had to listen to drilling while I was being fitted. They also tried selling me a veil with a hole in it.
The only saving grace is my alterations turned out fine in the end. I was happy with the work done although I did have to tell her she was sewing in 2 different cup sizes into the bra! All sorted though and dress looked fab on the day. I didnt leave a review at first as I hate leaving bad reviews. But there were tears during the the lead up to my big day. This was the only supplier I had any issues with. If Beth hadnt had my dress in storeage I would've said goodbye to my deposit and saved myself the stress and went elsewhere. It is also weird how many times the name/address of this page has been changed, bridal lodge and alterations by the lodge. It was something else at one stage
