On 10/1/22 brought daughter to buy bike for birthday. €189. Child's seats in car so couldn't bring at that time. Couldn't pay and collect later as they refused to hold the bike. Called on 14/1/22 bike gone up to €219. Up €30 in 4 days. Disgraceful and disgusted. Couldn't go elsewhere as daughter had heart set on bike. Brought to attention of staff. They were dismissive and had a "tough luck" mentality. Work locally and have spent a lot of money in store through the years but would have to consider going there again. It was the principle if the whole transaction and dismissivness of staff.

I used to get thrown out of the original Smyth's when I was small for reading the comics without paying. This has no relevance to the modern smyths. But they do have loads of great toys. The Lego stuff particularly.
