Be very careful if you are shopping for gluten free. We asked butcher were chicken dippers gf. He said for certain they were twice. Thank goodness we read package and it was wheat based. Spoke to manager., she was lovely and assured us she would educate staff on gf. It's a lovely shop otherwise.. Very clean and great selection

Great selection of products, however the shop layout especially at the entrance to the shop is quite tight. This means that more often than not it gets backed up and people are practically standing on top of each other, with no way of getting past someone who is stopped looking at a product. Since this review is being written during covid the crowding in the entrance isn't ideal and they may want to change the layout of the entrance.

A really good supermarket with a really good variety of products. The best part is that they have an amazing set up outside with knee activated sinks with warm water soap and handtowels to actually wash your hands. So nice instead of hand sanitizer. Brilliant idea.

This store has a great deli counter, lots of parking and is right next to a Costa. Bottle recycling machine located outside which is really handy.

Nice place to shop. Only thing I didn't like was seeing some cakes and tarts out of date and mouldy. I think it should be all discounted when it's best before date is nearly up to avoid such matters and make a sale out of it as who would buy it if it's in such conditions.

Mary Croughans Supervalu is an exceptional shopping experience The staff are so genuinely warm, attentive and welcoming. The store, and its array of fresh wholesome, artisan food is insurpassable. From the minute you park and walk through those doors, it is an experience, on a par with Feargal Quinns Superquinn in 1980's Blackrock - top of their game. A fabulous team effort.

It's the nearest supermarket to us. Since its opening we always shop here not just because it's convenient and so easy to park but mostly the high quality produce and the overall customer care experience is so much better when compared with Dunnes or Tesco . I couldn't imagine yer wan Margaret Heffernan or Mr Tesco PLC greeting you when you go in store or indeed be on the check out but your very likely to find Mary Croghan doing just that. In addition she has brought together a very strong customer focused management team and employees which always deliver a pleasant shopping experience.

I happily travel the 20+ kms from Ballymahon to Athlone for the pleasure of shopping here! Bright, airy, well stocked store with genuinely helpful staff - particularly in the wine area. A very knowledgeable Diane has guided me through selecting several new (to me anyway!) wines which have mostly been just what I was looking for. Many thanks to all concerned. D. Byrne, Colehill, Co.
