It's more than just a supermarket the staff are so friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much for them to do for you if asked. The store is well stocked with everything you need under one roof and it's spotless always .

Even though the store itself and staff are ok, my big concern is with the store policies. More specifically, I received discount coupons for my weekly purchases like many other customers do. For 100 euros I would have had a discount of 12 euros. My bill was 103 euros and the till lady told me very kindly that I couldn't get my 12 euros off because I had an SMA (instant baby milk) within my purchases. I asked to speak to the manager. I spoke with another person in the store (that I know was not the manager) who told me that alcohol, cigarettes and instant milks cannot be considered for the coupon discounts. I can understand for the first 2, but for the baby instant milk I found it outrageous! Especially for a Supermarket brand that advertises itself as a family friendly brand. As an FYI, on all Dublin Supervalu stores that I used when I leaved in Dublin, alcohol could be included in the coupons. So, I guess that Pettits franchise applies its own policies for people in Athy. But like I said, my concern is not the alcohol, but the fact that you do not include necessity goods such as instant baby milk. Outrageous and disappointing policies and for that reason I decided to reduce my weekly shopping to Pettits from 80-90% to 20% and do the rest in Lidl, Aldi and Tesco (Carlow). I hope this feedback will make you reconsider some of your "family support" store policies.

A good shop well stocked bakery, butcher counter etc it has everything you need for your weekly shopping. The staff are very nice and friendly. There is a bathroom on the way out that is clean and tidy. There is a car park that has loads of spaces. That could do with been upgraded.

Expensive. Quality of food is good, fruit, vegetables and meat. But Sausages, Rashers, Pizzas outlandish prices. Better % content of pork far higher in LIDL products. But everything else, household cleaning items like detergents, and toiletries, massively expensive. Coffee, basic nothing fancy, Double the price of Aldi for same Brand??

Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff, the store has recently been refurbished and has benefitted. Despite having free parking, teh downside to this store is its location in Central Athy which can mean very difficult to access during heavy traffic. Despite this, the store is well staff, well stocked and friendly and helpful staff are always willing to assist you.

Alright for a last minute bread and milk, there are however other, larger grocery shops in the area that while not by much, are able to offer better prices on most other items I purchase in my weekly shop. Supervalu does however sell heating Gas credit for the card which is a plus in its favour, there is ample parking and they have a deli section with hot food and a coffee machine for a quick coffee or hot chocolate, which is great on cold days and if it is ever hot they have that covered too with their very own ice cream bar in the shop. Supervalu also offers home delivery service if you're walking or I believe you can also order online (Provided of course you're willing to wait for the delivery)
