I like to express my compliments for the excellent service given by staff in Dunnes Stores in Ballina. Because I would like the benefit of the offer spend 30€ get 10€ refund by downloading the Dunnes app. Because I am Dutch living in Ireland but with a Dutch mobile, I had problems downloading and installing the Dunnes app. I asked a young man who filled the shelves whether he could help me (as a pensioner) install the app. He did his best but could not help me. A little later, I asked the manager who, at this very busy time, about 4 p.m., gave his full attention to me and also involved the cashier. (Operator ID 2921). The problem with the app could not be solved so the manager offered me a voucher. A voucher was not available but one of the other employees spontaneously offered his voucher to help me. My wife and I are already big fans of Dunnes Stores, but this grandiose helpfulness strengthened our feeling for the shop. Hats off to the staff!

Well, Dunnes has been around for a long time now, so they must be doing something right. When they opened in Ballina first (when was that - the 1980’s ?) it seemed huge. Now it feels a little small and cramped. But it’s still very busy and very popular and definitely a big draw for the town.

The, store could be updated but the, staff are definitely 6 star. I have been shopping here for 30 years and have nothing but praise for the staff and their professional dealings with us customers. The shop is, always, clean and well stocked and for me shopping here is always a pleasure. Thank you to all the, staff for looking after us, so well and keeping us, safe during covid.

They are taking very good precautions regarding covid and doing their best to keep shopping as safe and easy as possible. My only problem is that they closed their ground floor public restrooms even before covid. Sorry, I was told there were toilets upstairs...I use a walker. As a disabled person it's very frustrating, and further limiting. It may not be a requirement, but even pay toilets would be a very appreciated help. It's a scandal that Ballina town does not have public toilets at all. We shouldn't have to rely on shops, but good shops always offered customer toilets years ago.

Please allocate more twin trolleys as I had to get 2 separate trolleys for my toddler twins, this wouldn't be suitable if I was on my own with them! The manager helped and looked for the trolley but someone had taken it so more than one twin trolley is needed please.

Good store, but pretty cramped. It's a pity the off licence isn't in the grocery. If the off licence was with the grocery, one could make better use of the vouchers. As it is when you finish in the grocery, if you don't spend more than €50 in the off licence, vouchers are of no use. I don't spend that amount in the off licence any week, maybe some do.

Good Dunnes quality as far as supermarkets go, but the tiny premises mean the variety of goods, both food and clothing, is less than other stores

This is where I do my food shopping. The store is old, a little rundown (the building) and one of the small-medium size Dunnes. What redeems this store is the staff. The staff are all excellent at their jobs and all unfailingly polite and helpful. The week before Christmas I was in there and the place was packed. The staff worked at making sure that the shelves were stocked and still would stop and help you find an item. Even the management was stocking shelves to maintain supply. The checkout staff worked quickly and efficiently so you were not waiting long, yet, as I witnessed, never rushed older or flustered customers. It wouldn't have the largest choice but it has all you need. Considering the state of the building - little or no natural light, dated structure, not in the best of condition , this store is a prime example that staff makes an excellent shop.

Large choice of grousers , clothes and items for the home , always very clean and well maintained. Staff are happy in there work , they are always friendly and willing to help , parking is good out back and it is placed is within an arcade with plenty of benches scattered about. 👍👍

Great store. I went in liquor department and bought a couple of bottles of booze. I'm an American visiting for a few weeks. The liquor was already on sale, and the cashier asked if I had a coupon. I did not and she produced one that gave an additional 10 euros off on any sale over 50 euros. Very much appreciated.

It is what it is, you can pretty much see the whole store from the main entrance since it is an extremely small Dunnes. That being said, you'll probably find what you're looking for here, and the size of the store is probably appropriate for the size of Ballina.

Most of the shop units are belong to Dunnes, not sure if rents affect independent retailers or not but a few units closed unfortunately. Dunnes grocery was doing a brisk trade on my visit.

I was passing through, and called in , i was checked out by a lovely lady who was friendly, courteous doing her job with the customer at heart and deadated. This lady also filled me in regarding the Salmon festival in Ballina. I was delighted to hear it's going ahead but from Wed 10th July until Sunday 14th July.

Less windows than you'd think. Insufficient carpark. Too many Lidls. Salmon festival only once per year? Nowhere to go but Bar Square. Broken Jug - full o' shnakes. Penneys is big. Smell o' the post office is pure cat so it is. Cinema didn't get Jurassic World and one of the lads took a piss in my minstrels. Timmy's is mint altogether. Cathedral not raising refurbishment money fast enough. Just go to Westport instead. Wahu.
