My first time in the new premises since it reopened. Really fantastic layout, very open plan and roomy. Think more has been added too in an obviously bigger shop. Presentation of food is fantastic especially in cake section but every area is superb. This is essentially an old style delicatessen on a large scale with a fantastic selection of quality foods and unique foods to the shop including gluten free. It is a place to pamper yourself but it is not cheap.

Over the years I have heard many excellent reports on Fitzpatrick's so when I was in the area I decided to drop in and see for myself. Unfortunately I had already eaten lunch but if not I would have had a field day in its magnificent deli - rolls and sandwiches looked delicious and cakes and pastries appeared mouthwatering. The reports I heard were no doubt correct as Fitzpatrick's are delivering top quality produce. I have only given it four stars until I get an opportunity to try it out for lunch when I wil be more than surprised if I cannot give it five stars. Starting to get hungry already when I think of the delicious pastry I plan to finish the lunch with.

Have been going there for some time cakes are for the most part excellent but a little expensive. How ever I was very disappointed with what I got there for Easter. They had a chocolate covered Easter sponge cake that most certainly wasn't baked the previous day or even the previous week and for 17/18 euro to say I was disappointed is an understatement. Also the brown bread which is absolutely delicious most of the time was underbaked last week when I purchased it.

Fantastic range of freshly prepared food Visited on a Sunday morning and spent 10 minutes queuing, only to find the queue was for hot food when all I wanted was a coffee! Found the shop a little confusing to navigate but I appreciate the constraints of Covid-19 haven't helped in that regard.

The cakes, the homemade sausage rolls, the unbelievable breakfast rolls which can cure hangovers. Great service - nice place to bring the kiddies, sit out on one of the benches outside in the sunshine and go for a short walk nearby.
