I was greeted nicely, treated respectfully when asking questions about the postal collections. Was told about the local bakery lady who supplies some lovely stuff. A lovely experience. I visited Sloanes shop and was delighed to find it is the same well run and friendly shop as it has always been. On this occasion I got some of their great cooked ham and the paper . From now on I'll be making a regular detour to include this jewel of a family grocery. MB

What a great little local shop. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. They have a great selection of the essentials and are happy to oblige if you need something that's not in stock. Parcel services, photocopying and all utility topups are available. I would have given the full 5 stars but they recently started charging 50c for PayPoint services. I understand that this is a non profit service and they must pay cash handling fees but I always purchased something so I wasn't just using this service. Also, if you don't want to offer a free service then don't, but charging 50c everytime is excessive.
