Order two last-minute hammers here which were ready within 20mins. Excellent services.
Stole the photo online as I forgot to tack but this is the presentation of the hampers.

Lovely spot (especially the upstairs restaurant when it's open). Nice range of luxury food and drink items. Great for gifts or a treat! Friendly staff.

Stopped in here for lunch at the upstairs restaurant and it was delicious. The servers were fast. The place was a bit packed but it was 130pm. My friend had a burger and said it was delicious, I had a salad and it was super yummy. The lettuce was a bit wilted, but other than that no complaints.

It was the last breakfast we had in Galway and I’m glad that I chose McCambridge! The streaky bacon was absolutely savory- I would say it’s the best bacon I had so far traveling in Ireland for 9 days. Also, the house tomato relish was gorgeous! Normally I have a partiality for toast, so I was a bit disappointed when I saw it’s soda bread. But I was wrong. It was perfectly moist and firm, for me it tasted a little bit like a cake. Apart from the Full Irish, the Veggie breakfast my bf ordered was also delicious. The only part I don’t like probably were the poached eggs and portobello mushroom. The mushroom was blend.

Beautiful coffee. Worth it.

A very nice little place with lots of history. Great place for getting unique treats and for tourists to check out when in Galway. Love the window view .
P. O. M.
Great asset to Galway city, fresh, local produce. Good selection of food and drinks.
K. C.
The best lunch I've had in County Galway all week. With healthy, appetising options at a good price, I'm only sorry I was only in the city for one day, but I did take advantage of the shop downstairs to stock up for a picnic tomorrow.
As a slight downside, they still use plastic straws, maybe they could consider binning the single use plastics?
K. B. D.
Fab shop. A little bit of luxury while not spending your life savings at the same time. I would advise everyone visiting Galway city to go to McCambriges at least once. Tasty treats, great deli, great varity of tea's and coffee's as well as a super range pf spirits to suit all taste.
You'll go back time and again.

I was Impressed with the shop but when it comes to the coffee the lid would not stay on and nearly scalded my wife we went back they change the cup but it was no better. I think better quality cups is the answer .
C. M.
Best hot chocolate in Galway! Made with a mixture of dark and milk chocolate chips, the hot chocolate at McCambridges is everything you need in a hot chocolate on a cold day - absolutely delicious!
D. B.
Fine brand shop. Amazing selections of fresh delicious food, wines and craft ciders and beers. If you looking for marvelous taste this shop is for you. Very like.
R. Z.
A lot of unique Irish brands and some imported ones too!
I love their fresh bread and the vegan cheeses.

I really loved the breakfast here, I'd highly recommend it! There was a queue when we went but waited for only 10 minutes. Food was delicious and really good quality. Coffee was lovely too
C. N.
Fast, quick, friendly, service. Delicious food with generous servings (I had the seafood platter and carrot cake for dessert). Nice casual but not loud atmosphere. Great location right in the city center
A. H.
Yummy place for tea and coffee, and some dessert. Had the peach raspberry crumble and Irish breakfast tea. We were just in Galway for am hour so it was a nice place to warm up and use the restroom. Quick service and friendly staff. Very cute and cozy!
E. R.
Stopped by for breakfast, it was really good! I tried the smashed avocado sandwich and it was amazing. Wish there would have been egg + tomato on both slices of bread, but it was easy to switch myself :)
M. B.
Outdoor seating right on the main street, so lots to see. Nice tea and coffee and lovely cakes too!
J. A.
The place is very nice and staff is very friendly. We had a Full Irish Breakfast and it was super amazing.

An excellent place for a sunday brunch ! Service was perfect / fast and professional ! It s a lovely place in the main street of Galway. I highly recommend this place
C. M.
I loved the boutique, old school high street grocers look and feel to the place, with a cosy and friendly upstairs cafe offering a broader range of breakfast options than the usual fare served up by most places.
T. T. D.
Such quality food and lovely staff!
J. O.
Really helpful and happy staff. Awesome food. Nice decoration.
J. D.
Great lunch with Gluten Free options. Comfortable and cozy atmosphere.
O. B.
Absolutely loved it here. Cafe upstairs serves such great fresh, thoughtfully cooked food. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Then downstairs the grocery shop is brilliant. All local or small Irish producers. Great place to eat at in Galway city centre
E. L.
Staff are lovey food is second to none 5star
W. K.
Ate breakfast here twice while staying in Galway. By far the best Irish breakfast I’ve had in Ireland. Wife had French toast one day and avocado toast the other, both were amazing. Service was excellent and very fast. Can’t recommend highly enough!!
C.
Lovely setting, staff are plentiful and more than helpful and polite, service is fairly quick with a fantastic selection of various foods from quick snacks to mezze boards to proper dinner. Something different and great veggie and vegan options. Always clean and bright, and covers all bases as alcohol served on site if you fancy a tipple.
m. j.
This place has great food! And the atmosphere is always so nice! Still prefer this place before the COVID times.. it was always bustling! The staff definitely doing everything they can in regards cleaning and social distancing. Great place!
H. L.
Fantastic breakfast!! Gorgeous shop on the ground floor below the restaurant with lots of local produce...and amazing pastries. I went here twice during my two day stay in Galway.
J. H.
I can never make up my mind whether I like it here or not! I visited twice in one week recently and had two very different experiences with both food and service so I suppose the impression I get is that it's a bit hit and miss at times.
The first visit I had the food was lovely (had the beef burger) but the service was pretty poor, was ignored while waiting to be seated for ages, nobody acknowledged me at all for long enough to make me wonder were they finishing up for the day! That level continued throughout unfortunately, ages waiting to order, had no cutlery, couldn't get anyones attention to order coffee after, just very distracted even though it wasn't busy.
The second time I went it was a Sunday afternoon and the service was amazing! I had a very attentive and friendly waiter, he did an enjoyment check and made sure I was OK for everything! But this time the food was only ok, breakfast was so greasy, poached egg was cold and watery, just a few bits like that that made it hard to enjoy.
There's potential to be great here and I would definitely say give them a shot, the restaurant itself is lovely, and the atmosphere too!
m. l.
Cannot commend the staff enough for their hardwork and impeccable customer service. Emailed regarding a hamper order, Maeve got in touch straight away and was so helpful with advising me on my selections. A special thanks also to Helen who made up the most stunning hamper in the blink of an eye. Given the current situation of the country they really are providing an amazing service for anyone who can't see their loved ones and want to send a special gift. Thanks again guys, will be a returning customer for sure!!
Have also been a frequent visitor of the restaurant which has the best brunch in galway with the most cheerful and friendly staff, cannot wait to get back to normal and enjoy some delcious french toast!!
Galway city has a gem in the form of McCambridge's, keep up the great work everyone.
W. S. M.
Best brunch place in Galway ! The service and food is out of this world ! I would go back there in heart beat. I had a hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream, and it was soooooo good 😍👍
Perfectly located right in the centre of Galway, very cosy and spacious at the same time.
Highly recommend it.
O. M.
Fabulous as always. Friendly staff and well laid out giving lots of space. A unique stock of the finest foods and wine & spirits. Well worth a visit.
H. K.
It has the best of everything and a great range. Cheese, olives, sauces, dried fruit for cakes and puddings are the best quality. I love this shop.
A. T.
Amazing Full Irish Breakfast! During the few days of vacation we recently spent in Galway, we passed this place many times and saw that it was always busy - from the outside it just looks like a quaint local market... and it is. But there is a second floor that is solely devoted to a breakfast/lunch restaurant.
The service is friendly and fast, the menu is extensive, and the food/coffee/tea was all amazing. I’m not a huge breakfast person, but this place was a highlight of our time in Galway. My wife got the breakfast pita sandwich and was in love with the flavor of the beet humus!
Would highly recommend it for a quick meal, even if there is a 5-10 minute wait during peak hours.
L. B.
If you're looking for a healthy delicious meal that won't leave you feeling soggy, this is the place. Our waitress was lovely. Giving us really good recommendations from the menu... Veggie bowl salad is the best food I've had in Ireland. Wish we had time to go back. 😊
C. a. C. T.
Great food and nice atmosphere. Had the Dahl curry was good
A. D.
First time in there, despite living so close. Very well set up for the current situation, nicely spaced tables, friendly staff and the food is excellent. Highly recommend for lunch.
R. H.
Good selection of drinks for cocktails.
N. O. H.
Gorgeous artisan foods and a real authentic vibe
s. q.
Lovely grocery shop on the high street in Galway. A great selection of fresh groceries - cheese, vegetables, prepared dips and sauces. A well stocked wine area and huge selection of spirits available for purchase as well. The restaurant upstairs is fantastic! Wonderful fresh food, and great vegetarian options. The coffee is great as well. Would definitely recommend for a casual breakfast or lunch that is not a pub!
T. K.
Arrived for a late Sunday brunch. Restaurant was busy however we were immediately tended to. Server was friendly even when we ordered an amazing white chocolate cake to start, bacon lettuce and tomato bagel was also delicious :) Servings were sizeable and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend this restaurant above the store!
L. G.
Great shop! I go there a lot and am always impressed with the friendliness of the staff - fantastic range of delicatessen stuff - great selection of wines and whiskies - a must stop if you're in Galway.
e. c.
Nice central spot for lunch in Galway. Interesting lunch options, good selection of wines, tasty cakes, friendly staff. Sandwiches range about the 9.95 mark, hot food 9.95 to 13.95, desserts from about 3.50. Always a queue here.
L. F.
Deli counter turned out to be a disappointment. Despite what other reviewers have been told it’s not a staff issue it’s a management one. The sandwich menu has been changed and it looks like suppliers have been changed too. The bread taste and texture suggests mass produced fare rather than the artisanal fare that used to be used.
The shop has many items you won’t find elsewhere in Galway but the items that can be found elsewhere are found significantly cheaper. Disappointed overall and would have given fewer stars only it was particularily clean and with friendly staff.
M. F.
Firm favourite of many locals. Sandwiches from downstairs are probably the best value lunch option in Galway, with a small salad bar for those looking for something different. Coffee and cakes always of good quality too. Upstairs the cafe is a great spot for both lunch and dinner, and while it is a little more expensive, this is always accounted for by the quality of the meals.
J. R.
Oh man, I can't say enough good things about this place. Wandered in here looking for a decent coffee and a place to sit for a few minutes. The flat white was perfect and the dessert here is among the best I've had in Ireland. Fast and friendly service and a great atmosphere.

The last day we called into Mc Cambridge and the staff were every helpful to us so yes I would recommend Mc Cambridge of Galway from paula
M. O. C.

Got lunch here a few times, never disappointed always enjoying it with quick and friendly service.
A. N. C.
Delicious food as always in mccambridges cafe. Would definitely recommend the steak sandwich or the smoked mackerel sandwich. Always love a visit to the cafe, coffee is always lovely, staff is great and food is delicious whatever you choose.
B. H.
Staff as always really nice great service Got our cornedbeef delicious the best in Galway.
B. D.
We ordered a gift hamper with McCambridges and could not recommend them highly enough. The contents were superb and the brilliant customer service.
M. S.
Quaint little restaurant on the second floor. There is a nice cafe on the first floor and a small market to get all your grocery needs. Breakfast was very good woth several small plate options and good coffee. Right in the heart of the pedestrian street.
T. E. B.
Good food and pleasant staff
A. A.
Downstairs as might be expected there were people on a variety of missions:- buying lunch to go; advice on when a specific gin would be in stock; and Christmas hampers. It was all happening & still every member of staff smiled and welcomed customers in Irish & English. I queued halfway up the stairs for a seat in the small bustling restaurant. Asking for a hot chocolate with marshmallows, it arrived with my portion of Banoffie Gateau. This was subtly flavoured & every crumb was eaten. I watched the world go by for another 10 minutes before regretfully paying my bill and leaving with a silent promise to myself to return very soon.
B. M.
A real gem in the heart of Galway city. Excellent delicatessen and lovely coffee.
M. C.
Great deli.Family owned and well stocked . Great home made salads, expensive. Delicious sandwich counter. Nice upstairs restaurant. Always busy!! Great location for pedestrians.
S. B.
Love the food especially the Avocado egg smash !
M. M.
Great place for high end food souvenirs and other Galway/Irish things to pack home. At the end of the day, you can find some of the things elsewhere for cheaper but they may catch your eye here. The sandwiches are good as well and the hampers (gift baskets) are grand.
D. L.
A Galway institution. Famous for deli sandwiches and excellent produce. There's a busy cafe upstairs wit excellent food too
A. J.
Best breakfast in Galway. Cafe up stairs and great selection, downstairs is a local deli. Has a lovely feel to it and service and food are both great!
A. C.
Amazing breakfast options. Brioche French toast with homemade honeycomb, toffee, marscapone, and Irish rhubarb, with coffee maple bacon. Or... the more nutritious poached eggs with veggies!
T. O.
Amazing selection of food, wine, and beer. Highest quality produce in town. Fantastic lunch menu and wine tasting events. Always a pleasure here for any event or to just pop in for a few things.
M. T.

J. C.
Spectacular vegan risotto, fresh, bright atmosphere, and a great coconut-raw-cacao bar and espresso for desert. The restaurant is not vegan, but they did an excellent job at putting together a meal for me (€21).
R. S.
Mc Cambridges has been in Galway for as long as I can remember and it has remained as good as it always was. Their deli has everything you could wish for and their brown bread is famous. It is right in the middle of shop street and is always busy even though there are lots of other eating places around. We had a delicious meal there recently which was worth queuing up for. The staff are so helpful and friendly. I cannot praise it enough and it's true Galway so well worth a visit.
P. S.
Always a lovely experience in the heart of Galway with what has the appearance of an old early 20th century shop underneath but is very specialised in wines and gourmet foods
B. F.
Love breakfast upstairs here. Shop full of yummy stuff.
M. N.
Great coffee... lovely country kitchen restaurant upstairs, fab Deli downstairs, expansive wine licence, great Irish whiskey selection, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff...and great bathrooms... that's about it, what more could you want?.. did I mention the outdoor covered sidewalk cafe.. and people-watching...
M. H.
Nice food, lots of crispy salads, with smoked mackarel, and herring , toasted gluten free bread and a bottle of NZ Sauvignon Blanc.
In a beautiful Georgian dining Room, looking out on to the Christmas decorations of Galway city. When in Galway, visit this place.
A. G.
I love the place and especially the "make your own breakfast" option.
I am following a ketogenic diet and with myob, I can choose what to eat.
I order 4 rashers, 2 fried eggs and a portion of goat cheese every time with americano and pouring cream for myself and a half portion of oatmeal and americano for my wife. Also sometime a portion of halloumi fried in butter. All costs around 20 euros.
The service is usually very good. The staff is very nice and kind. Even in rush times like now, near Christmas, they are good. Obviously mistakes happen from time to time but they are very professional then; they try to correct it, even compliment the mistaken food.
I go and will go every Saturday for breakfast.
B. C.
Ordered French toast and plain toast which was four slices of toast. This along with tea came to a grand total of 10 euro. While the food was lovely it took a long time to come out and the price was a little steep.
C. F.
Fantastic service and great food!!
N. R.
Quay street was quite the experience, Could have stayed there all day. McCambridges was a good finish to our afternoon here. I ordered French toast which was filling and tasty.
R. B.

Absolutely fantastic food, all great ingredients and original dishes. Pity it's so popular, always a queue for lunch! But well worth the wait
J. T.
Delicous fresh breakfast. Tasty streaky bacon and nice home made bread definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a fry.
D. F.
Super soup and novel shop/deli/cafe set up. The location allows for sitting al fresco while being serenaded by some of galways busking talent. Only draw back was the length of time it took to order soup, roll and coffees as I need to go to three different stations to do this.
C. K.
I have eaten here twice in the past two months, once for brunch and once for lunch. Great food each time. Will definately return.
a. m.
Good food and menu choice. Avacado could have been less pureed. Service was a little slow due to how busy they were.
J. C.
Best ever fish and chips. Efficient, friendly staff. Salmon brekkie is, as all the salmon offerings, excellent. You can't go wrong here.
J. R.
Great brunch. Quality locally sourced ingredients. Full Irish with a real Galway connection.
D. C.
Fresh food great personal nice service good shop go in there a lot of traditional products
C. C.
Service was very good but there is an inconsistency between pricing on the menu and what's charged - wine advertised as €6 appeared as 6.50 and 7 on bill.
Staff very nice however.
B. D.
Lovely food, reasonable price. Nice relaxing atmosphere. If busy be prepared to wait for a table.
A. H.
Brilliant customer service. So accommodating and helpful for a last minute delivery order. Gorgeous hampers.

Excellent high quality foods in the deli section downstairs. Upstairs there a great selection of well prepared foods served by friendly staff. Can be a little expensive for some items. There can be a wait at weekends.
J. O.

A MESSAGE FOR THE BEAUTIFUL STEPHEN FORRY!
[Verse 1]
Mama, someone broke my heart again
Tell her I don't think I can take it anymore
Mama, someone broke my heart again
Now I'm gonna ease my pain
Dancing on the floor
[Verse 2]
Take me out
I'm not in the mood for a broken heart
Gonna dance tonight, forget her
No, she doesn’t know
What I'm doing on the floor
Did you say hello, my ladies?
[Pre-Chorus]
Pull me baby, I'm your trigger
You know that my love is bigger
Love, Love, Love
Let the rhythm take us higher
You know when I'm on fire
Check me out (3-2-1- hey!)
[Chorus]
I'm a golden boy
Come here to enjoy
I'm the king of fun
Let me show you how we do it
I'm a golden boy
Come here to enjoy
And before I leave
Let me show you Tel Aviv
Food and service is excellent here by the way.

(Translated) In one of the central streets of Galway this restaurant / shop with a pleasant atmosphere. On the ground floor there is a shop with many typical Irish goodies, above the restaurant / café offers a good variety of breakfast dishes, both sweet and savory. The food is very good. The only downsides are the rather surly staff and the background music, very loud and not suitable for the early hours of the morning.

(Translated) Excellent emporio with many delicious things. It has Irish and other products, cheeses, drinks, jams, breads, olives, snacks, coffee, cold cuts, smoked salmon is delicious. Service note 10. Only the price is a little steep. But it is worthwhile to stop by and take some typical Irish souvenirs.
