Have been a customer of mullins for 25 years,great shop ,stock everything&anything wonderfull staff all so helpfull&friendly ,couldn't say enough good things about the place but unfortunatley this changed rapidly for me today when I was humiliated in front of customers by mary claire Mullin,who was rude totally insulting&even acused me in front of people for not wanting to pay for syrup on an ice cream cone .I had never been served by this individual in all my time going into the shop but it was one hell of an experience rude, thick ,ignorsnt&totally insultig.no personality or people skills a total liability behind any counter.its a sad day. that one ignorant lump can be the cause of a good customer not returning .

Small little supermarket in a small village but has a huge variety of items from a loaf of bread to a garden rake. It's basically a supermarket and a DIY shop all in one.

I needed to make a phonecall to my son as we had gotten sparated in Westport. I called into Mullins' supermarket and asked the girl in charge of the shop if she would allow me use her phone. She immediatelty agreed, though she and the shop were quite busy at the time (5 pm 17/07/2017). She was so pleasant and explained to me that I had to go out onto the street, with her phone, to get signal. Her display of good faith and trust in me and perhaps in mankind generally, for I was a stranger to her, was refreshing. This wouldn't happen in many places. I had to fight with her to have her accept a small contribution towards her next top-up. Unfortunately I neglected to ask her name, but i'm sure a girl like her will be easily recognisable by her employers and those who know her. She did Mayo proud. Go raibh míle maith agat. Seán.
